Your videos are so incredible..the editing and the commentary.. This is definitely one of the most under rated fishing channels I've stumbled upon. Making me really miss my home province. lol. New fan here. Looking forward to more walleye and watching this channel grow.
Your videos are amazing you are a step above everyone else with your camera work and editing skills, and you tell the story so well, we feel as if we are there with you.
I don't normally hit the post notification bell but I gotta tell you, I smashed it after hitting the subscribe button. This video is so well edited and you guys slayed the fish so good that I didn't have much of a choice. Thanks for sharing this and all the effort you put into it. Off to check out your other videos now. Bravo, Andrew.
Outstanding video Jay! Yes it's time to head north for us next season! Thank you for sharing! And I LOVE YOUR BOAT!!! That's the one I want to get for our family! Take care and thanks again!!!
Watched this video about 50 times last summer and made a day trip out from Thompson to Wekusko near the end of September in the fall only to find the boat launch and the park gates closed for the season. A local told me that they lock it up after September long, but Brian told me I missed it by a few days only. I did manage to get on the water and had a decent day on the main lake but nothing at the base of the falls as the whitefish had all moved in their and schooled up and chased the walleye out. I am guessing that this video was shot closer to the beginning of September? First time there in the fall, usually go near the opener and have good luck.
Another great film. You should head west to BC and do some filming. Salmon, steelhead, trout, sturgeon... Load up the truck and take a filming vacation next summer with Sam "The Hammer". I would love to see that film.
@33:25 I’m not sure what Jay was talking about but Troy just savaged his shot. Chums the minnow on the cast and then that shit eating grin like “oh man that’s totally going to be in the film” when he knows he’s caught!
Jay - given your background with Wollaston, would you consider doing an early season trip there, maybe like a multi-part series, targeting those dinosaur lakers and 50-inch pike? Would make for epic video content.
awesome short film mate, love this, always wanted to do a fishing trip like this up in north Manitoba, have camped and driven up there so much so beautiful, would love to cast my rod into the water. those are some awesome catches
need to cook up some beer batter walleye cheeks! another suggestion for your culinary vids...Just discovered your channel which is top quality stuff. Keep up the great work!
as a fan from kenora, seeing you fished here near where my familys from in nothern manitoba makes me happy. ON TOP of that you fish longbow which is another place I lived, I have to come on a fishing trip with you soon!!
Great video. I've followed your videos for a while now. Not sure how I missed this one. I think I'm going to have to finally make a trip to Viking Lodge this fall.
I'm at Viking Lodge right now. Just finished a day of fishing where a group of 4 landed over 50 fish. A few master angler Pike, 38½" Walleye, 1 medium laker and even a few Perch.
I spent quite a bit of time up in that water this summer as well, absolutely amazing fisheries! Really enjoyed the film dude, now I need to catch up on the rest of your work!
hey Jay, was wondering if you could tell us what rods/reels your use in your videos for each fish, and explains why you choose that type of rod. I think it will help lots of new and old fisher man and women knew what to know what to use when targeting different types of fish. If you see this please try to do this in all your videos thanks.
That walleye fishing was just as good or even better than most of the fly in lakes I have been to also I have a walleye bait to recommend it is a z man 3.75 streakz in preferably redbone but smelt works to fished on a 1/4 once chartreuse jig it actually out fishes live bait
i am from Flin Flon, we never go to Athapap to fish walleye. We have a cabin on the lake as well. So I shouldnt so never, but the walleye fishin isnt that great. So many better lakes for walleye! I do love having our cabin at Athapap though. You should try amisk out in Denare beach too. We fish the remote lakes mainly when we want to eat some walleye.
honestly you should have more subscribers than aaron... he barely posts anything these days and he creates too much nonsense content. your videos are very entertaining and the quality is great, i'm enjoying the tournament vlogs as well as your videos featuring your dad.
Kinda weird watching all your videos knowing we grew up like 20 miles apart, but different countries, haha. I graduated from Neche ND highschool. I go to Altona for Chinese food every couple of months
I enjoyed this film very much, thanks. One little thing; I hope you do know Sam s birthday, she might not be so cool about you forgetting that. (Lol) If you did your gonna be samcammed live trying to make it up to her.
This is probably an inside joke to Jay, and if so, sorry for my response. If not, First Cranberry (1st Lake) and Wekusko are part of the same water system on the Grass River so no inspection is necessary.
You youtube fishermen need to fish First Cranberry more. You can catch the same quality of fish ten minutes from the dock. I’m a garbage fisherman and I did okay out there all summer!
I'm gearing up for the fall brawl here in Northeast Ohio and I am super excited. It will be my first time fall fishing for walleye and fishing the Fall Brawl.
29:45 same music when the Conrad’s get that 37” Brown Trout. That’s just gets an angler fired up. So epic
I love me some Walleye!!
Jig n a minnow!
I also love my walleye
Do you know what month this is in, coming from the states and want to fish at wekusko in the fall. Thank you in advance!!!!

Great video as always Jay!
That was awesome! Great that you are able to enjoy that with a childhood friend. I need to get up to Canada. Colorado is cool, but not like that.
We have fished Athapapuskow for the last 14 years, looks like we might have to drive across the road and give the Cranberry chain a try
i am from Flin Flon, we never go to Athapap to fish walleye. We have a cabin on the lake as well. So I shouldnt so never, but the walleye fishin isnt that great. So many better lakes for walleye! Gotta get up to Viking Lake Lodge, thank you for another epic video #huntfishMB
What kind of lights do you have under the gunnels in your boat? Thanks in advance!
Oh dude! Amazing shots and fishing! Great video, new sub here!
Awesome! I need to go watch the southern tour now! One question... do you know the model of the Costa sunglasses you were wearing?
My PB walleye is 32.5” it was the 8th walleye I ever caught in my life. Thing is I know I will probably never beat that😂
What month is this? Wanna head to Wekusko Falls Lodge next year!
I envy you good sir! Some great content for all your videos, I wish I could do what you do it wouldn’t feel like work at all.
Loving the fall colours!

What length and action rods were used on the trip?
You should do a video for beginners on how to use that new dinner bell
This is my neck of the woods!
@32:26 RIGHT IN THE SNOOT 😁🙏👍
Amazing work. Felt like I was on the trip too lol.
Should do another grouse hunting video.
Can you put a link to your gold Acme you used?
This is Amazing!!!
That’s a way nicer than the one I was forced to sleep in by somebody that I use to know ....
What were the dates you were there?
Kinda weird watching all your videos knowing we grew up like 20 miles apart, but different countries, haha. I graduated from Neche ND highschool. I go to Altona for Chinese food every couple of months
That’s awesome! Gotta love altona Chinese food, haha!
I enjoyed this film very much, thanks.
One little thing; I hope you do know Sam s birthday, she might not be so cool about you forgetting that. (Lol) If you did your gonna be samcammed live trying to make it up to her.
That's kinda crazy his pb was 24 inches. I don't even walleye fish and have caught 2 28"s on musky baits
Yeah, my biggest walleye came on a bucktail.
The real question is did you get your boat inspected after fishing the first lake?
inspected?
This is probably an inside joke to Jay, and if so, sorry for my response. If not, First Cranberry (1st Lake) and Wekusko are part of the same water system on the Grass River so no inspection is necessary.
Epicccccnesss
Liked it before even watching it lol
"Its not that long, but it's so fat!" That's what she said 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Beer can...
Muskie bait
👍👍👍
amazing !!!
oohhhyes
