No, Rob, you're not the first TH-cam reviewer that I've seen brought to tears by this performance. Courtney isn't just singing here, every note and every facial expression radiates pain and makes you feel it.
Thank you for that wonderful reaction, YES working with live musicians with the camera on them Courtney has taken it up to another level. It's also exciting because we're seeing her with people she'll be touring with. I think she'll be introducing us to the whole band soon. Thank you again, enjoy the rest of your day!
Every version of this song has an amazingly emotional impact. I saw the video for this performance the other day, I still tear up, just as I did for the official video, the lyric video and the others that she released last year.
IKR? Like when the lyric video came out and they were on a cellphone and it could have been the official video like George Michael's blank screen with lyrics video for Praying for Time, it just fit the song so perfectly, but they've just kept getting better.
Hi Rob. Always cool to see you on a Courtney reaction. I never cease to be amazed at what Courtney can do. A voice that can rock a stage one minute and then come back and rip your heart out with the rawness and intensity that she puts into a gritty ballad like this. Unmatched vocal power, control and versatility. Music is always a sensory experience, but when Courtney sings, it's as much of a visual experience as it is an audio one. It's like a wave of feeling and emotion that washes over you. I don't know of any other artiest that can create that kind of effect in her listeners, like Courtney can. Courtney is the greatest artist and vocalist I've ever heard, but when she's singing live, she somehow manages to take that greatness up another couple of levels. I experienced this first hand when I saw her live at Carnegie Hall, and now again here. No one else like her in music, and it's always a privilege, and pure joy, to be able to see and hear her perform. Courtney said more content coming soon, and she just announced today that a live version of her original 'Jagged' will drop on November 18. Can't wait to see you on many more Courtney reactions in the near future. She also confirmed that the first single from her new album will drop very early next year. She didn't want to drop during the holiday season. It's a fabulous time to be in 'Courtzland'.
Her voice is just stunning!
It's worth mentioning that the two musicians here, on guitar and piano, are in the band that Courtney is going to be touring with next year.
