Hi Rob. Great reaction as always. I don't know what it is, but when Courtney performs live, she just elevates her already spectacular talent exponentially. She has this unbelievable ability to infuse so much energy and emotion into the music and it's just like it washes over her audience in waves. An incredible adrenaline rush. No greater live performer in music. Pair it with her unmatched vocals, and you create a mind boggling musical experience. Her concerts are going to be insane. Once she starts touring, and word spreads about how fabulous she is on stage, her concerts are going to be the 'in' place everyone wants to be. People will be fighting for tickets. Her shows are going to become legendary.🔥🔥🔥🔥 More to come. Can't wait.
Another great reaction, Rob! This was really kind of a short teaser song that Courtney has said will not be on the album. The real reward of a Courtney live show will be extended and increasingly dynamic renditions of shorter recorded songs, IMO.
Rob, I wonder if the "echo" effect you are talking about is actually the woman on the keyboard, who has her own microphone and is doubling as a backup singer.
Rob, maybe you already know all this, but I'll put it here in case it clears things up for others. One frequent question by commenters on Courtney's TH-cam videos is "Why isn't she a huge star??" She absolutely should be one, but there's a reason, and the blame goes to Sony Music, which stubbornly persisted for years in trying to make her the next big Pop Princess, not caring that she is practically allergic to contemporary pop. She wouldn't sing what they wanted her to sing, and they refused to let her record any of the songs she was writing with Kevin Bowe -- that includes songs like "Monsters," which she finally got to release in 2023 (after she got out of her contract) -- it's actually from 2021, but Sony said no. So she was in a career freeze from 2019 to 2023, and by that time all the momentum from AGT was gone. She had to start over as an independent, and she's back on track now. Anyway, it's Sony that committed a crime against music by holding her back.
