Great reaction to a phenomenal talent , not can she only sing she's can put on a show like she's been doing it for decades but she's only twenty, she gets you going from the start, chills as well, super talented, she had you mesmerized
Hi. Nice reaction. Courtney is absolutely amazing. A true generational level talent. You've reacted to a couple of her other songs, both uptempo (Monsters, Sucker) but as you hear more of her, you'll see that she not only has one of the greatest voices in music, but also the most versatile. Whether it's Rock, R&B, Funk, Soul, Ballads or more, Courtney's music is equally as exquisite. She even had an opera clip go viral. All artists, no matter how great have their comfort zones, but we truly haven't found where Courtney's comfort zone ends. I know you prefer Rock, but to truly appreciate the incredible talent that Courtney has, you really have to hear the full range of what she can do vocally. I suggest you react to one of these two originals that she dropped in 2023 to see a completely different side of Courtney. The two songs are 'Breakable' and 'Call Me Back'. Both are on her TH-cam channel. She is an absolutely brilliant artist and performer. This performance was on April 29th. The New York Pops honored Clive Davis with a huge concert at Carnegie Hall. Everyone who is anyone in music was there. Courtney was invited personally by Clive to open the show. She blew off the roof and the doors and brought the entire audience to their feet at Carnegie in a standing ovation with this rip roaring, stage dominating rendition of Janis Joplin's 'Piece of my Heart'. Janis was Clive's first signee. It was unbelievable. Courtney shared the stage with many all time greats tied to Clive like Barry Manilow, Dionne Warwick, John Mellencamp, Busta Rhymes and many more. As you noticed, If you watch the conductor, rather than Courtney (which is hard when she just nailed the song), the conductor sneaks several long peaks at Courtney's performance instead of remaining focused on his musicians. The look on his face says it all. The same can be said for the guitarist. Let's be real. If you were on stage, 15 feet away from this magnificent performance, how could you not help but sneak a peak. It's not very often that you get to hear the voice of a lifetime. It was mind boggling hearing her live. Take how great she sounds digitally, multiply it by ten, and that gives some sense of how sensational she sounds live. She truly is a phenomenal artist, and that may be an understatement.
I would love to see her live on stage on a world tour to my little corner of it, New Zealand. By what I've seen over the years, she was literally born to sing on stage. A phenomenon, a powerhouse, a singing entertainer. And in contrast with her fun, shy personality, like I said phenomenal. By the way, there is another version of this here on TH-cam which has the full performance, but part of it is filmed from another point of view, and the start and end are from that one, but with a bit different sound quality. I would share a link, but TH-cam might block it.
There is a full long version of this and this version. Maybe you can find the longer "balcony" version and try it again. She did receive a standing ovation for this. I am not sure that she analyzes her singing but just refines it.
Great reaction to a great performance! The New York Pops owns the official video and only released about half her appearance, so that's what Courtney has on her channel, but as Darren says in his comment, there is a mashup with a bootleg recorded with a cellphone from the balcony on TH-cam. In fact there are two versions. The other one evens off the sound levels a little but leaves off her spoken introduction to the song. I'd really like to request a reaction to one of her first two originals but I can't find a link for a tip. Either Courtney Hadwin - Breakable (Official Video) th-cam.com/video/DOjyS5w1Ono/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lN6RApye8hLCJs0q or Courtney Hadwin - That Girl Don't Live Here (Official Music Video) th-cam.com/video/RyILP4DPPTo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=X2kwyvWiiqoXnKoN would be great.

On stage Courtney is a force to be reckoned with, the best live performer / artist in the business.
camera messed up should have zoomed out so we get all of her head and some of the orchestra.

I like to see a come to New York with her own music
