Thank you for the info! If I could give a suggestion, it would be helpful to not worry as much about seeing your face since we’re watching what is happening on the computer screen and QC, and make some of the individual windows larger (like the cortex control or daw). Watching on a phone it’s difficult to pick some of that stuff up.
I have an issue with re-amping. I tried out the exact way you explained, if I go to a preset I made myself, there is no problem, I can hear the sound going through and I’m able to record both wet & DI signal. Now if I switch to one of the factory presets on the QC I get no sound at all!?…I have tried to change the input from 1 to USB 5 and the output to USB 3….nothing happens?? Am i missing something?. Cheers!😊
@@GaryWrightMusicwhen I tap “My Presets” an select one of my own made presets, with input USB 5 and output USB 3 (just like you described in the video) I works just fine. Then when I go into the FACTORY PRESETS and select a preset (just an example like the EVHIII 5150) red channel) the input and output changes to input 1 and the output to multiout….NOW when I tap the input and select USB 5 and the USB 3 output, there is no sound coming through?
Was wondering what audio quality is better using usb into daw or 1/4 out into an audio interface to your daw? Seem if you keep it digital into the daw it would be cleaner and more quiet
USB audio interface to your DAW. This gives you less potential for noise, and the ability to record both guitar DI and processed signal at the same time.
@ Ok but let’s think this through a little. What quality of converters you think it has to run down the USB to the puter, you think it is better than a converter in UA Apollo? Might be better to go guitar input and stereo effects into 2 channels to the Apollo’s 1/4 inch
Very new to the digital amp stuff. Just got a Quad Cortex. When I go into Logic Pro following the same steps it loads with an amp over my tone. It loads brit and clean with noise gate, pedalboard.amp, channel eq, and compressor in logic over my Quad Cortex tone. How do I load in with just my Quad Cortex audio?
It is more than likely because of selecting guitar for the input type and having a default box checked that loads a brit amp and cab sim to the channel track. This can be easily removed though. Open your new project, and click on the mixer faders icon in the upper left corner of the screen. Then look in the lower left corner for the channel strip and click the arrow next to the plugins section towards the top of that strip, then click on "no plug-in". This will remove the default vst and let you hear the QC input without further signal chain effects. I am traveling most of the day today, but give a shout if you are still having problems. I will gladly take a couple of screenshots when I get back home for you.
I’m new to those things I got myself a QC I have an issue I use the QC as an interface but when I’m recording my guitar it doesn’t take it with my effects any idea how I can fix that please
I think you might be recording your guitar DI (input 1) in your DAW. If you want to capture your processed signal (with effects), make sure to record input (3/4). Feel free to ping me if you need more help.
There actually can be, depending on the hub. You _shouldnt_ see a difference, but if you notice and connectivity issues with your DAW/Cortex Control, definitely try going with a direct connection.
@@GaryWrightMusic Thank you so much for responding. Really happy, you have a great channel. One more question, I read there are no latency with QC. Is there any in winning in dailing in the right recording delay in Logic? Tried using RTL utility to get the right numbers... Right path or just wondering blindly?
@@GaryWrightMusic I noticed that you used QC as input and an other device as Output? Is this the best way? Or is it the same, to use QC as both input and output ?
Excellent videos! I like screen shots and detail you put into these tutorials! Great job!
Thank you very much!
Magic 😅 Thank you! Very helpful!!
Glad it was helpful!🙏🏻
Thank you Gary 🎉
You are very welcome
Sweet demo. There’s so much you can do with that quad.
Thank you! I am more impressed with every update!
excellent video, thank you. can you please do a video showing how to set up the "iRig stream pro" with the quad cortex please?
Thank you! I don't have one of these, but I can certainly help setup. Do you have specific questions, or would you prefer a general walkthrough?
Awesome!! ❤
Thanks 🤗

Thanks for the tip!
Good call, this might help. Thanks dude!
Suuuuuper helpful! Thanks man
Great to hear and you are welcome!
Thank you !!!!!
You're welcome!

Thanks, will do!

Hmm. So can you describe the path of the part that isn't working. Just so I can be clear and try to replicate.

I get some signal degradation when I use the QC as an interface . Input and output level look ok . Any suggestions? Using Cubase 13 pro
Can you confirm which inputs you are monitoring/recording? Are you trying to capture dry/wet/both?
@@GaryWrightMusic input usb 3/4 on the QC output 3/4 in Cubase and just wet signal

Hey thanks man. Ya that was it
How are you able to record and hear the playback without needing headphones plugged into the QC?
Yes. The DAW software is recording either DI/Processed output or both. You then can play that back on the computer, without the QC being needed.

Is there any difference connection QC to a usb hub vs connect it right in the Mac port?

Hi, quick question. What cable did you use to connect the Quad to your Mac?
I used the usb-a to usb-b 2.0 cable that came with the QC.
You can also buy a usb b to usb c cable
Respectfully, I think you should remake this video. It's a little all over the place.
Appreciate the suggestion.
