The amount of older fans of ISS saying this new stuff is not their cup of tea.... I am the opposite. This new stuff slaps. But i listen to tons of stuff besides just Metal so i appreciate all the elements they bring to the table.
I love both old and new. Ive been around since the 3D album. Would I prefer a more standard metalcore sound for harsh vocals? Yes, but that doesn't take away from the sheer talent of the band
Been a fan for YEARS but no one ever talks about this band! 10,000 feet & Treehouse albums are really good songwriting. Acoustic version of White Lies is one of the best pieces of music in history. Dude’s voice is beyond Earth.
Everyone talks about treehouse. That album blew the fuck up when it came out. They just haven't done squat since and since has been about 6/7 years now
Personally, "Anomaly", "Are We Even" and this one are totally fire. The fact they're trying new things, only shows how people grow the f*** up and so the fans should.
I was very indifferent to their older stuff but this track sounded great to me. This and Antimatter are great examples of heavy music moving in the right direction.
@@devilwearsprada2100 I was never under his spell. I think he is a great vocalist, and his screams added some depth, but from what I hear, they made the right choice to remove him from the band. I think without Devin the entire band would crumble and the entire genre would be lesser.
@@Pandumz- I genuinely like their new stuff, I think Devin is one of the best clean vocalists in the scene. They have not lost the passion they had, only a band member. I think ISS is going through a change, and it’s not a bad one.
Well after all this time, at least we finally know relatively when we are getting it. I'm assuming after the next single they will announce the name of the album, the release date, a tour, and pre-orders. Devin said a while ago they recorded 16 songs, so 5 singles before the album sounds about accurate.
I'm here for it. I've been a fan since 3d. I love how they evolve and don't follow what everyone else is doing. Also if they stick with Luke Holland I don't think they can put out anything bad.
Devin has shown live that he can scream just as good as Zach did. Why are they going wiith the old SWS song 😭 they were better at electronicore not post-hardcore
Video is super cool..liked certain aspects of the song like the chorus and when he brought out those beautiful clean harmonies. Otherwise it was kind of all over the place and wasn't a super strong first impression. Anomaly was cool but I think the last strong impression I got was from the tree house album with running with scissors and calm snow.
Been a fan of i see stars way back when. This is a really cool track. I like the direction of this track. Some cool bits here and there. I’m curious how it’ll grow on me. It did seem to be lacking something in the mix, but not sure if that’s the point??
@@renderthevoiid9104 I mean no disrespect but I'll never understand the sentiment behind statements like these. Their older stuff is very different, as with most artists, but music (and all forms of art and expression really) are PURELY subjective. Sure one song can be structurally superior to another song, but that usually doesn't hold much weight in ones opinion. If they like it, they like it. Reasoning is shallow when talking about superiority when it comes to music. Some may find this better than New Demons, some may not. I'm super biased towards New Demons from nostalgia though. So many things that play into our biases, time being a big one.
I don’t know what to think of I See Stars these days. The first three albums are great, the acoustic album was actually solid, Treehouse was okay. I just don’t know if the new material is my cup of tea. It’s interesting but I don’t know if it’s a good kind of interesting.
Treehouse is my favorite album. The first two songs they've come back with since then were all I heard so far and was pretty underwhelmed by both of them. Especially anomaly and it's awful leadup to an extremely octane version of a breakdown. This one and the other one they put out I haven't gotten to yet. I look forward to having the time to check em out. If this band peaks with treehouse, it won't surprise me tho
I think treehouse was their best too. It was refreshing and a new direction for the band. I don't feel their new songs so much. Ps I didn't expect to love treehouse when I first heard it.
Really don't get why those specific 'shouts' are in every one of their new singles lately, it comes off like he can't scream but still wants to have a screaming section... which after this song showcasing a real scream is even more silly.
Idk, I really didn't like any of their new singles. Like, they aren't bad songs, but they're just not that special, especially considering the previous works of the band. It's just fairly basic modern metalcore with a few neat little things, but nothing to write home about.
Feels like wasted potential for me. I actually like the vocal melodies, but the guitar is so flat in the mix that the vocals pop out too much. There's also a breakdown just to have one imo.
hate when talented genre bending capable musicians make cookie cutter music tbh, it aint bad but i expect more, the vocal layering is even pretty lazy.
My least favorite part about this band is how fucking VAIN the vocalist is. It's always been abundantly clear that in his mind, he's God's gift to the world lol its extremely cringe. At the end "okay rest of the band. You guys can come in at the end, the rest of the video is me cosplaying as Geralt of Cringia
@tunics3946 yea that's exactly what I'm saying lol in his eyes the rest of the band doesn't even exist, He's the face of the band. He always looks at the camera like he's trying to seduce it
That's the sad reality in most cases where talent is present. The guy is very clearly insane at what he does, but what taints it is you can tell that he knows it more than anyone else does. I'm still thankful for the music, but fame will do that to a man. His fame is well earned, he's been in the game for quite some time and he does his thing wonderfully, but there's an added sense of self pride that is too great for what it is.

I love the old stuff and the new. Sure it's not alot of screams, but the vocals themselves are extremely good imo
@@AvEnGeD7X238in your opinion.
Then they aren't old fans, they're just weebs coming in at half time. I'm with you, this sound fucks.

Yes!!!
Me too. So underrated.

I was on the fence the first time I heard this track but it just sticks with you and now I find myself humming parts of it. I listen to it everyday.
Devin out here lookin' like emo Henry Cavill.
Would kill for more songs like Antimatter
This song is on repeat for me
Dude looks like emo Geralt..
Pros: It's I See Stars, Devin Oliver, very good track.
Cons: It's not a New Demons track.
Not having Zachs energy kills me

Not necessarily a con. If thats the ISS you like then maybe but its been 10 years since theres bound to be change.

That's actually a valid point. Also makes me like the song more because twenty one pilots are my favorite non metal band lol

Treehouse is definitely their second best album imo, New Demons n Treehouse r miles above rest of their material
@@tunics3946 I have a soft spot for 3-D. It captured the late 2000s well for the music at the time. New Demons was probably the best album
