what some don't get is that a lot of it isn't planned queerbaiting, but female friendships in asian countries can get very close and be very touchy. it doesn't really mean anything to them. some idols definitely do a little fanservice likt that but a lot of clips are just not considering cultural context.

i don't think you actually understand what her debut actually was. she was revealed at 20, so she wasn't a kid. she was still subtley and not so subtley talking about her attraction during loona and when she wasn't under a label to now. south korea is heavily misogynistic already regardless if they're idols or not, straight or not. it's not "hostaging by a company", it's simply how she wants to talk about it
not to mention loona has various queer storylines and videos during and post loona, they've explicitly expressed their support for queer people multiple times. they were and still are in fact allowed to do these things. south korea's idol system is extremely flawed as most celebrity culture is but your example was wrong on many levels. out queer idols in the industry are very much around with relative success even after being mistreated or kicked out by their companies
