Welcome to the VoicePlay rabbit hole! They are from the Orlando area in Florida in the US, right around where the big themeparks like Disney and Universal Studios are, and a lot of them have worked as performers at the parks in the past. You figured out the bass, the long-haired gentleman on the left, he is Geoff Castellucci, and he also does (nonaccapella) solo videos, please check some of his individual work out also since you love the bass voice! On the right hand side of the group was Layne Stein, the beatboxer and, in this case, violin player. He and Geoff met way back in Middle School and are founding members of the group. The bald dude in the middle is Eli Jacobson (pronounced EL-eee, not E-Lie), who has been a member for lots of years as well, and although he went to a different school, they did encounter each other in school choral competitions and such as well. Between Eli and Layne is Cesar, the newest member of the group, he really didn't get a chance to shine in this one, but he has an amazing voice and range as well. Between Eli and Geoff is J None, a former VoicePlay member who left in 2020 to join the US Navy, but comes back very frequently to fill in their fifth spot, and he is always a joy to see see with them because they just work so spectacularly well together. When Covid hit, they had a longtime member leave( again, someone they had known since their school days), and then J None left a little while later to join the service, and they gained Cesar as a member. They tried for a few years to get a permanent fifth to join, but nothing ever worked out, so instead they have a rotation of friends who are great singers who come in to sing with them as the 'featured' singer. For years Geoff and Layne were doing all the arranging, Eli has started to help out with that in addition to doing the lighting. Yep, they do all these videos by themselves, not under contract to a recording label or group, and are just fantastic at coming up with arrangements, concepts and filming ideas. Just a peek into their videos lets you know that they have done tons of Disney stuff but are not limited to that genre, they do a wide range of songs!
Thanks for the reaction to VoicePlay. They have many fans who daily seek out reactions to their work. The patron list in the outro is only the top two tiers. Check out Geoff Castellucci's solo channel to hear more of his bass voice, and his baritone and tenor ranges. He is impressive! All of the voices and instrumentation on Geoff's solo channel are all his. Sometimes he's in costume and doesn't look like himself but it's always Geoff.
Voiceplay is the absolute best. They are fully independent and do almost everything themselves. They make turns doing arrangements - the bass (Geoff Castelucci) arranged this - incredible job! You definitely need to get on this ride - it's totally worth it! 🌹🕊
This is such a lovely piece, and a great introduction to VoicePlay. Last year, the band Chicago saw this video and invited VoicePlay to perform with them live in concert. I enjoyed your reaction! Liked and subscribed, I hope to see you discover more music from this amazing group.
I think you would love 'Warriors'. It is a few years old, but really great. Thank you for the terrific reaction. Btw, Geoff, the bass, has a fantastic solo channel that you should check out.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Every voice at VoicePlay is very beautiful! And Geoff's bass voice is something special. And all together they sound so harmonious, so... unforgettable! ❤
Just a beautifully done piece of music. This is 3 yrs since I found a Geoff solo (Monster Mash) and then VoicePlay. In that time I have only missed a few days since a day without these guys (and the ladies) is a day without sunshine.
Welcome aboard the Voiceplay freight train. Enjoy the ride. While you are on board, be sure to stop by the Geoff Castellucci bass car, you won't be disappointed. Have fun!!!
Welcome to the wonderful world of VoicePlay. The bass singer is Geoff Castellucci and he has his own TH-cam channel. I have subscribed to hear more VoicePlay & Geoff Castellucci reactions. VoicePlay is my favorite out of all the acapella groups. Some of my favorites by them are: Valhalla Calling; Dream On; Seven Nation Army; Creep; Be Prepared; Hoist the Colors; Drunken Sailor; Hellfire; Classical Choas, and The Way You Make Me Feel. No matter what you listen to it will be a great performance. Geoff Castellucci has just completed a LOTR/Hobbit trilogy with Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold; I See Fire & Song of Durin. He sings each part as different characters from the LOTR/Hobbit movies. A few of my favorites by him are: 16 Tons; Ain't No Sunshine; Unshaken; Jack's Lament and Don't Mess Around with Jim. No matter what you choose to listen to you won't go wrong. Enjoy the rabbit hole.
Whenever Voiceplay uses something other than a voice you'll see it shown it the video - this is one of 3 videos were Layne plays violin, earning him the nickname Violayne 😁
I really enjoyed your reaction. This piece got a lot of recognition because people don’t expect an a cappella group to cover Metallica. We called it Metallicapella.😊 Of the big three a cappella groups here in the states, VoicePlay plays the the widest variety of genres. Because they are in Orlando and all worked at Disney parks and Universal Studios, they do a lot of more theatrical pieces, complete with costuming at times. Over the last few years they’ve started putting their karaoke track to run along with the patron roll. They offer the full track to patrons and I often will go out to listen to it several times and then come back and listen to the full version. I can pick out a lot of things that I missed when concentrating on the full performance. I’m hoping you’ll cover more of them and also check Geoff’s solo channel. he started doing these when Covid stopped them from touring. He also covers a wide variety of music. He is used to arranging for four and five part harmonies and will do the same for his own performances frequently. He’s pretty well known for filming a clone of himself for every musical part, and when in costume has fooled many reactors into thinking it’s a group of brothers. He has done three from The Hobbit movies. he, along with the group love Halloween. This year we won’t be getting a Halloween release from him, but voice place should be releasing theirs in the next week or so.
Эмерсон, мне было интересно послушать выступление AURORA и VoicePlay, с творчеством которых, к сожалению, я не была знакома. Все очень понравились, голоса прекрасные. Спасибо большое за Вашу реакцию!
Pelo jeito q vc fala, tô achando q é brasileiro. Acertei? Gostei muito da sua reação, e gosto MUITO deste conjunto. Vou me suscrever p/ ver mais 😊👍 Abraços!

❤welcome to the VP rabbit hole. We’re all mad here. Fyi ‘bass’ in this use is pronounced “base”. Bass is only pronounced bass when talking about fish.
