Everything sounds very good. The black and white idea is great.
Well, I’m American and can’t catch what was spoken, but the tones spoke loudly enough. Both amps sound amazing.
Yeah those amps are killer! The video was shot to show the differences to some friends of mine, then I decided to upload it on youtube. You're right, tones speaks for themselves!

Maz18 more compressed, more breakup, maybe a little warmer. Maz38 more open, more clarity, thicker bolder low end, more like two El34's compared to the Maz18 two EL84's. Both are solid stage performers, seen/heard many. Although the DNA of these amps is tonality closer to Vox Marshall than Fender, if you use the LO input, higher master setting than volume, tone gets cleaner, more American blues sounding - more SRVish.
Not a whole lot of difference. There never really had been a big difference between same amps in the same line between having 2 & 4 EL84’s. Even the volume difference isn’t much between 2-4 EL84’s from my experience. Good video!
Thank you for the video, I've just ordered the 18 head to go with a z best cab and I've now got worried I should have went for the 38. I've just read loads of forum post saying the 18 is shrill and thin snd 38 is way better? Do you agree?
Not really... I found them very similiar, maybe the 18 is a little bit crispier while the 38 has more headroom and gain on top (but my 38 is NR and it matters imho). They're both great amps with plenty of volume and character, you won't be disappointed.

@@daviddorrian5349 Well forums sometimes can be misleading but, of course, every opinion shared by others could be. Those were only feelings I had about them in my direct experience playing both side by side with my equipment. I'd say it's the better way to come up with a guess about them but usually it's not that easy. Enjoy your amp, it will be satisfying!
