Regarding the glasses, I'm an optometrist and glasses wearer as well, I would definitely suggest you try to wear them as often as possible to get used to them. If in 2-3 weeks you find them still as dizzying as it was at first, then you can go first to see the optician which did the glasses to make sure the lenses measurements are all okay, and if everything is fine, go back to the optometrist who did the eye exam to make sure the prescription is right. If you are seeing well with them, but you just find them dizzying, it means the prescription is good and you should be fine in a couple of days/weeks of getting used to them. If you cannot get used to them, often we will tone down the prescription a little bit for you to get used to it then increase it a little over a few years. It very often takes a bit of time to get used to a new prescription, even if you are used to wearing glasses, so first time wearers can find is especially difficult!

Love love the Phillips venue for Buffy's-WOW!! Re: glasses... Yes, it can take a bit to get used to progressive glasses. But if you are a week or two in and still feeling very "off", check back with the optometrist. Sometimes the prescription is slightly off. Regardless, don't gaslight yourself into thinking you have to force it- after getting used to them, they should certainly be more helpful than not! If they are progressives, you may end up doing the typical head-tilt back a tad to read things that are eye-level or higher. Oh, I'd maybe have them tightened so they don't slip down as much. Yes, I do that motion even if I don't have glasses on😅They look great on you for sure! xx from Oregon
Getting use to wearing glasses first time takes awhile; I had to hold on to the walls in hall way @ work or take off while walking!! Very normal 🩷🇨🇦👍

Yes, when you first start wearing glasses, you may feel off balance/slight dizzy. It usually lasts only a day or so. And when you need to update/increase your prescription, it can also happen (after awhile though, it stops happening and you adjust to new glasses faster).
It took me a little time to get used to my glasses when I first started wearing them. They were quite disorienting but now I feel weird without them.

I think you looks really beautiful with the glasses btw! I found out my vision sucked when I was 30, so I guess I could give you some tips. Try to wear your glasses as much as you can. First couple of days is always pretty freaky and weird, but you have to give it time to get used to having an object hanging on your nose ahhaha

you can get little ear grabbers that slip on the earpiece to grip behind the ear if your glasses keep sliding down your nose!

Are your new glasses for distance, reading or both. If both, may be the reading part of the lens is not quite in the right location, or you may just need more time to get used to them. Your eyes will adapt to where they need to look.
For reading / screens!! But I feel like I can see better overall when I have them on except it making me feel like I’m going to fall over 😂
@@LizzyHadfield I believe it’s the curvature of the lenses. They usually match it to your previous glasses. If you are not used to it in a week or so ask the optometrist to change it. In any case let them know your experience with them.

Are they reading glasses? If so, have you been advised to wear them all the time? I think wear them reading and not walking around.
They are but the man in the shop said wear them as much as possible for the first week to get used to them! but it doesnt seem to be working for me 😂
