WOW--Mary 395 is awesome--so many stitches and beautiful. I have a wonderful LNS in my town--Always in Stitches in Noblesville, IN. Everything for quilting, cross stitch, yarn, wool and the most wonderful staff. They have many classes and a youtube video of What's New and a Flosstube. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work.
I’ll have to take a look at them. You are so lucky to have such a wonderful store in your town! And thanks for the kind words about Mary 395. A monochromatic stitch was something I had never seen before and I had to buy her…go big or go home as the saying goes. I’ll probably always have a monochromatic stitch going (but not as big as Mary 395!). To me, it’s for those times where I just want to stitch and not worry about color changes.
Im a new Navy wife and we are stationed at Norfolk but we live in VB! I have never had an LNS before but now I have Dyeing to Stitch and I have been so many times already in the 3 months we have lived here! Love your videos, been following from the beginning!
Hi there! You are indeed lucky!! I was able to go to Dyeing to Stitch once before I moved to Florida. And there was a small stitching group at the table at the front when I went in…So fun! They dye fabric so you’ll be able to see their fabrics up close when you visit their shop! I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos. Happy stitching! And thanks for your family’s service!
Ohhhhhh the Goode Huswife New England Saint Nick is now on my unicorn wish list in memory of my dear grandbaby who passed back to Heaven this June! 😮 I am Not a Santa Stitcher...ive been waiting for just the right one and this is it. Hope to get him in my hands some days! W❤W
I’m so sorry to hear the sad news of your grand baby. And I love that showing that chart has helped you…obviously you were meant to see it at that particular time! (I personally feel that there really are no coincidences!) I hope you have much success in finding it. 😀
I love your suggestion of putting info of fabric and project name on floss ring. I have project cards in bag too. May I compliment you on having all of your WIPs mounted on foam board for ease in viewing, greatly appreciated. You are so put together yet still feel we’re stitching together. Thanks for great episode again. Til next episode,.
Kathleen, thanks for the very kind comments. I’m glad it feels like we are stitching together…I was hoping for that! Happy stitching! And we’ll visit again next week.
Hello from France ! I love so much your flosstube, some of your wip and your finished projects are in my wishlist now... or even already bought. Thank you for this great video, see you next week, I hope !
Hello there!!! I’m so glad you’re enjoying my videos and I’m thrilled that you saw some things you’d like to stitch! I would say that most of my charts were purchased as a result of seeing them on FlossTube. So I’m very thankful for FlossTube because otherwise I probably would missed out! Have a great stitchy week!!
Hi Sharon! First time watching on my laptop, so I have subscribed and done all the things! Believe is gorgeous! I hope I can find it! Welcome to Flosstube! 💝
Hi there! I’m really glad you found my channel and have enjoyed what you have seen so far! Thanks for subscribing! And I wish you lots of success in finding the Believe chart. 😀
Hi there Lori! Thanks for your kind comment. I’m so glad you’re enjoying seeing my WIPs and yes, gotta love a Morgan hoop!! And I do envy those who can stitch in hand!!
Hi Sharon - another wonderful visit! I started wandering sheep and am enjoying it so far. I decided to stitch it with just one thread over 2 on 32 count and it looks so pretty. :) That Believe chart is beautiful! I can see why you couldn't resist. I have to confess I keep meaning to look and see if we have a needlework shop in driving distance of us in Brevard but I just haven't gotten to it yet. Have a great week.
Hi Julie! I’m glad we got to visit again! And I’m thrilled that you are enjoying stitching on Wandering Sheep…It was a lot of fun for me too. And 1 strand on 32 can work for some stitchers like us…right?!?!! 😀 (To each his own, of course!!!!) I haven’t had a chance to look for a local needlework shop yet either but if you find something, please let me know!! Happy stitching!
In the UK it’s been raining all week, I miss the warm weather. I think the closest shop to me would be Duttons for Buttons it has a little bit of all crafts and as the name suggests a lot of buttons 😁
Hi Jenny, I wish for you some sunshine and warmth!! I watch a lifestyle TH-camr that lives in Devon so I get to hear a lot about what’s going on where she lives weather wise. And I also watch some FlossTubers who live in the UK who share weather details quite often. I took a quick peek at Dutton for Buttons and fell in love with the store, especially its location! I definitely want to read all about it and explore their website further. Thanks for sharing and happy stitching!
I do have a local needlework shop. It is in Glen Ellyn Illinois. It’s called tomorrow’s heirlooms they’re 20 minutes away. If I want to go further I can go to Winthrop Harbor to Black cat stitchery but there are an hour and a half away. I wanted to say I did get my chart today. Thank you very much I see you showed it in your floss tube I know McKenna ,McKenna is the reason that I wanted that chart she stitched it and believe me the picture doesn’t do it any thing for it. Colors are just gorgeous. I don’t know why the picture is so gold, it’s not there is some in it but it’s not totally gold. Anyway I have a picture of it of the one McKenna stitch. I should send it to you sometime in an email. Thank you for your floss tube. can’t wait till next week
Yay, Diana! I’m glad you got the chart! I didn’t mention your name since I hadn’t asked permission but I knew you would know I was talking about you! 😀 Yes, please send me an pic via email anytime it’s convenient…I would love to see it!!! P.S. You are so lucky to have a shop so close!! And a second one close enough to make it s day trip!
No LNS near me….I use a 5” spring hoop from the 80’s….I’ve tried all kinds of hoops, the Nurge, and scroll frames always go back to my trusty little spring hoop - I will ‘ugly cry’ for sure if I lose her or she breaks❣️
Hi Sharon. Loved all the stitching! Your Mary 395 is gorgeous. Every time that you show it, I think, I need to start that! I love Morgan hoops and only use the 5 inch one also. I've tried several brands but Morgan is my favorite. Happy Stitching:) Inez
Inez, I would say go for it on Mary 395. Although it’s large, it’s such a relaxing stitch…You will enjoy it! And yay, for us Morgan hoop users…I’m not the only one!! 😀
@@everydaystitcher I know I should just do it! I'm debating on fabric. I have a half yard 40 count piece but not sure if it's big enough to leave a comfortable margin. What size piece was your 36 count? Also, if you don't mind, how many skeins of DMC did you purchase for it? Thanks for any input!
Hi Inez, I had a fat half (25x36”) for my 36 count fabric and it was perfect. On the number of skeins, I really didn’t keep count but I think it’s been 4-5 so far and I just ordered 2 more to finish up. You’ll have to let me know if you start it!!
I was thinking the fabric called True Blue from Fox and Rabbit for the Psalm 91:11 pattern would be lovely ❤ have really enjoyed watching all of your flosstubes
Diane, that color is gorgeous! I had never heard of it before so thank you. I’ve have some other viewers just like you mention using a dark blue and I love that idea. I’ve ordered a gray but if it doesn’t suit I will definitely go the dark blue route! And I’m glad you’re enjoying my FlossTube channel 😀
I too prefer the Morgan hoops but prefer the 7-inch. I stitch in my recliner with a Needlework System 4 lap/table stand which holds my hoop so I can stitch 2-handed. Needlework System 4 is made in Ormond Beach, FL. I’ve used this method since I returned to stitching in 2018. I’m very pleased with this set up. I take my stand to stitchy meet ups and retreats. Can’t say enough good things about it.
Marsha, thanks for the info on your setup. When I first returned to cross stitch, I bought a Lowery stand since I kept hearing it talked about. It hasn’t really worked for me. I’m not opposed to stitching two-handed but could never find something that really worked for me. I will definitely be checking out your system…thank you so much!
I use a thread conditioner for all my stitching ( especially kit floss) such as thread heaven. I have never had a problem with any residual effect. It keeps the fraying down and helps it glide smoother through the fabrics. It also helps with tangling.
Debbie, I’ve often wondered if there would be any discoloration from using a thread conditioner. That’s been why I hesitated to use it. Thanks for sharing your experience with it. I’ll have to take a look. Happy stitching!😀
Hi, Welcome to Florida! I know of three shops in Florida. I live close to The Needle Orts in Altamonte Springs. Really nice people work in this shop. Then there is Brick City in Ocala, Fl (haven't been there yet). And last, I know of The Crafty Framer in Largo, FL. Thats a real nice shop, with nice people. You do beautiful stitching!!
I enjoy your videos. The Teresa Kogut angel might look good on a dark blue fabric, maybe changing the black stars to another color. I recently saw a fabric called Night Sky or Twilight Sky, something like that while checking out fabric online. Take care.
Nancy, what a great suggestion regarding the fabric color and what you’ve seen recently that might work. Thanks you so much! And I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos…happy stitching! 😀
Great projects again. I just received my first order of 32 count Lugana and sat down the other night to do a sample group of stitches. 😂😂😂 I could not see the holes well at all! My gosh I’m getting old, I had to purchase a magnifying ring light that will arrive this week. It was pathetic. I’m going to do a Teresa Kogat when the light gets here….I hope.
I use a magnifying ring light and it is a game changer for me! I probably wouldn’t be stitching without it. I think you’re going to be so happy that you bought it.
Thanks for a great video. So much great stitchy info in this video. I also i am not a q snap lover. Too heavy and big for me. I like hoops. I also like the 5 in. Hoops and just move it around, even on a large project.
Thanks so much for your kind comment. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. So you’re probably like me where you have some Q snaps sitting somewhere…I really do need to give them away! Hmmmmm….I haven’t gone to a retreat yet…. They might be good for a freebie table! Happy stitching! 😀
Hi Sharon. I am enjoying your videos; I especially enjoy your analytical mind.😊. I stitch on both 36 and 40 ct linen exclusively. I always use two strands on 36 ct because I do not like to see the linen through my stitches, I want the floss to cover the entire are to give full benefit of the chosen color. I use one strand on 40ct and feel it gives me the complete coverage I am looking for. A few weeks ago I accidentally used two strands of silk floss on a 40 ct piece…I had just switched from 36 ct. The color was even more intense. I’m not planning to use two strands on 40 ct in the future, but it was interesting to see the difference! About xju-designs fabric, she is my absolute fabric dyer! She has an Etsy shop. If you send her a message and request a particular color that is not currently in her shop, she will dye it for you. I did that recently. She responded overnight and dyed the fabric immediately! Since she is in Hungary, shipping is slow but she is very fast in meeting requests. I highly recommend that you contact her for the linen color you want!
Hi there Jeana, I so enjoyed reading your comment! I’m really glad you’re enjoying the videos. I admire your ability to use 2 stands on 36 ct. Items you stitch like that must be absolutely gorgeous!!!! And thank you so much for the info on xju designs. What an amazing fabric dyer who cares about her customers. I’ll have to keep that in mind for future reference! Happy stitching😀
Girl those BBD charts were a huge win on your part! Both are Oop! Lucky lady! Hope you enjoy them both they are gorgeous! The flag one is my 🦄 and one day, I’ll find it and stitch it too! ❤enjoy and have a great week!
Hi Robin, I wish I had those charts!!!!!…but I don’t! I printed off the charts just to share what people were looking for. I thought it was interesting to see them and thought others might be interested too! I hope you find the flag one to stitch!
For your Teresa Kogut Angel, Zweigart makes 36 count Slate? or Granite. Other options are overdyed in the denim or Royal blue range. Other options are to simply outline the Angel’s dress in a slate gray which will help it stand out.
Angela, thanks for the wonderful suggestions!!! I ended up finding a 36 ct Charcoal by Zweigart at Hobby House. (To look at Hobby House was not an original thought by me…it was recommended by a viewer.) I had another viewer suggest using dark blue as the color just like you and if I hadn’t found the Charcoal fabric I would definitely do that…It sounds lovely! If the Charcoal doesn’t work out, I may still end up trying that!! 😀
Hi I really enjoyed the video thank you so much for sharing your stitching plans etc. I might try either Fossil by Fox & Rabbit or Chalkboard by XJudesigns. Both are carried by Kitten Stitcher. My closest needlework shop is The Attic. However it’s a good 45 - 60 minute drive each way and quite a bit of traffic on a normal day. It’s in Mesa AZ and I’m in Peoria AZ which is about 15 minutes northwest of Phoenix. Yes it’s super hot here this summer we’ve been all over the news lately. Looking forward to summer ending, lol! Take care and thank you again.
Shawn, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. And I really appreciate the fabric suggestions. I have seen your weather on the news lately. I hope some relief comes your way soon! Take care.
I don’t have a LNS, The closest one is Riverview Stitching in Monroe, Michigan. I plan to make the trip before summer is out. I’m guessing it’s 45 minutes or more away.
I love American Flag pattern you showed first.. Have you ever saw the a pattern for the LORD'S Last Supper it was like 32"x 18".I had it back in the 70's . I had started it them my moms husband at that time wanted to do it first, so I let him borrow it. But I never got it back. He passed away and mom don't know where it went.
I haven’t seen a pattern for the Lord’s Last Supper on FlossTubes that I’ve watched so far. However, I did a quick Google search for it and there were a lot of options available. I think there are so many options you may find something you love!! Good luck and happy stitching😀
You might find a fabric for Theresa Koguts piece that your looking for at Hobbyhouse Needleworks in NY. They have a good variety of fabric. Have enjoyed everyone of your videos. Might be purchasing that TK piece myself.
Nancy, thanks for mentioning Hobby House. I did go there and I was really impressed with their range of fabrics! I ended up purchasing a 36 ct Charcoal Gray linen by Zweigart from them. I think it’s the right color and I ended up saving money since it’s not overdyed and for this project, I was totally fine with that!! Thanks again. I would say put the chart in your Etsy cart so it can hang out there 😀
Hi Nancy, the name of the pattern was Psalm 91:11 but I would just search for Angel on Teresa Kogut’s Etsy store and it will come up . There will be other Angel items that come up in that search too but you’ll only have a short scroll to find it. Make certain you choose the cross stitch chart because I think she’s also offering it as a print, I think that’s called Guardian Angel. Happy stitching!
Cindy, I haven’t really looked at Fat Quarter Shop and your lavender suggestion is an interesting one! I will be taking a look in just a few minutes…thank you!
I really enjoy your channel. I’m in Southeast Louisiana and the closest LNS to me is about an hour away south of Lake Ponchartrain in Metairie LA, which is due west of New Orleans. It is packed with fabric, floss and patterns!🥰
There are some people who stitch with both hands. One over and one under and passing the needle back and fore with both hands. 🙂PS - of course those people are usually using a stand so their work is standing alone. 🙂
You are absolutely right! I’ve stitched that way and have 2 very expensive stands stored in a closet from that time I was doing that. I just find that I like to have my work closer to me and av hoop allows that. Who knows…I could totally go back to that at some point…that’s really the reason I ended up keeping the stand because you never know! I hope you’re having a great stitchy week!
Lovely job. I have seen, and you probably have too, seen flosstubers showing STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER. Another Beatles Mystery tour pattern. I have this kitted along with THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD and BLACKBIRD. You should check them out. You'll love them.
Hi there! I actually have Strawberry Fields Forever and love, love, love it! I actually just started that one a few weeks ago, probably only stitched on it for a day at this point and need to get back to it! I hadn’t heard about or seen The Long and Winding Road or the Blackbird designs in that series, had seen Eleanor Rigsby and Yellow Submarine (which I love because it’s so different). I’ll have to take a look at those two! Thanks for sharing 😀
Hi Freda, I wish I did…but unfortunately the only thing I can suggest is to set up an alert on eBay so if it comes up you’ll get notified and do Google searches every now and then…maybe it will pop up at a reasonable price. Good luck in your search!!
@@everydaystitcher I enjoyed your stitching. You did such a lovely job, and your had great projects and kits. Iwas listening to you in the middle of the night when I should have been sleeping. I’m sorry I was so rude. Your voice was kind and gentle, and I enjoyed hearing about the Morgan hoops. I like my cloth pulled very taut too. I’ve done a few kits up from Design Works. Great designs, but totally inferior threads and Adia. And your right, the DMC colors don’t match up one bit. I found that out when I ran out of a certain purple and tried to sub. In a DMC color that was the number they said. It was way off!!!! Great patterns tho. Look forward to your video’s to come.🤗from Idaho
I really enjoy watching your videos while I sit back and stitch. I love the variety of projects that you chose to work on. I have a question for you, I really like the one project you showed: Blackbird Designs Sunflower House. I have looked for that pattern for a couple of months and am unable to find the pattern. Where did you get that particular pattern? Thank you and keep up the good work.
Hi there Char, I do the exact same thing when I’m watching FlossTube….stitching! Isn’t it so much fun?!! On the Sunflower House chart by Blackbird Designs, I haven’t purchased it. On that FlossTube episode, I was showing pictures of unicorn charts that viewers had shared in the comments from the video before. I would say just to continue searching for it like you’re doing. It’s bound to pop up for sale eventually…and then you’ll just have to decide if it’s worth whatever the seller is asking for it. Good luck and happy stitching 😀
@@everydaystitcher I have found a very detailed picture of the Sunflower House and had it printed in color. Eventually, I could probably chart that pattern myself and select the colors that are most pleasing to me. It is such a shame that the beautiful patterns, like this one, were allowed to disappear off the market. I really love Moe Kitty. He makes me smile each time he makes an appearance.

@@everydaystitcher I was able to get a PDF version of the Lady of the Flag on Etsy. I think it is still available.
It was a Xstitch. I would like to find it again.
You inspired me to bring my stitching ABC back out again
That’s what we do, right…inspire/enable each other! Enjoy the stitching, Charlotte. It is about lovely project!
YES! Mirabilia Charts that are popluar need to be reprinted!
I couldn’t agree more!!
Take care.
I love Morgan hoops! Great tension and the 5 and 7 are awesome ❤
Me too…as you know! 😀 Happy stitching!
LNS nearest to me are Threadneedle Street in Issaquah, WA and Acorns and Threads in Portland, OR
Marsha, I’ve heard of Acorns and Threads but not the other LNS. I’ll have to take a look. Happy stitching!
❤❤❤
I don’t have a LNS, The closest one is Riverview Stitching in Monroe, Michigan. I plan to make the trip before summer is out. I’m guessing it’s 45 minutes or more away.
I hope you have a great time when you visit!
@@everydaystitcher Thank You I will look it up and see if I can it. Byby
I would say put the chart in your Etsy cart so it can hang out there 😀
@@everydaystitcher could you give me the name of the pattern again please?
Hi Nancy, the name of the pattern was Psalm 91:11 but I would just search for Angel on Teresa Kogut’s Etsy store and it will come up . There will be other Angel items that come up in that search too but you’ll only have a short scroll to find it. Make certain you choose the cross stitch chart because I think she’s also offering it as a print, I think that’s called Guardian Angel. Happy stitching!
Fat quarter shop has lots of different gray cross stitch material. How about a lavender? Cindy
Cindy, I haven’t really looked at Fat Quarter Shop and your lavender suggestion is an interesting one! I will be taking a look in just a few minutes…thank you!
Oh my gosh where did you find America???😮😮😮
Hi there! Unfortunately I didn’t find it. 🥲 I printed a screenshot of the cover to share it on the video.
I really enjoy your channel. I’m in Southeast Louisiana and the closest LNS to me is about an hour away south of Lake Ponchartrain in Metairie LA, which is due west of New Orleans. It is packed with fabric, floss and patterns!🥰
Lucky you Denise! And I’m glad you enjoy my channel. I enjoy visiting with all of you!
I don't have an LNS, but I have seen her fabrics in person. How about Slate by Fabrics by Stephanie?
I’ve heard about Fabrics by Stephanie, I’ll take a look. Thank you so much!!
Do you know where I could find Sunflower House by Blackbird Designs chart?
Hi Freda, I wish I did…but unfortunately the only thing I can suggest is to set up an alert on eBay so if it comes up you’ll get notified and do Google searches every now and then…maybe it will pop up at a reasonable price. Good luck in your search!!
@@everydaystitcher where did you find the copy you showed in your flosstube?
Thanks,
Freda
“A little tooooooo much talking!
Anne, I think I was having a very chatty day that particular day! ☺️
Anne, no worries whatsoever!!! Keep coming back for our visits…It will be fun! 😀
That sounds like something I would do!! And I’ll let Moe Kitty know that he has a fan 😀
