Sharon, thanks so much for your kind comment. I’m glad you liked seeing the throw. It’s been a lot of fun putting it together. I hope you’re finding some stitchy time this weekend 😀
Hi there Loretta!!! I’m so glad you found me 😀 And thank you for your very kind comment. I’m posting another video tomorrow so be on the lookout for it. I’ve hope you’ve had some stitchy time this week and lots of time for stitching this weekend!
Enjoyed seeing all your cross stitch. I love the two pictures behind you on the wall. You did a beautiful job, on them. Have a great weekend, see you next time.
Another lovely video. Good for you in the new starts plan. My philosophy is…I do this for pleasure, not to exercise discipline. If it makes me happy I start something new…and sometimes that is exactly what I need, something new as a reward. For example, I recently had a long and unpleasant root canal experience. I came right home and started a new cross stitch as a reward for myself. It was just the thing I needed!😊 You have such great diversity in your stitching!
Jeana, I love, love, love your philosophy and I’m so glad you took the time to leave a comment and share that with me. I obviously needed that bit of advice right at this time!! I am officially adopting it 😊 I hope you’ve been able to find some stitchy time this weekend!
Hi Sharon, I loved your finish! So much that I went and put it on my wish list lol! Also just an fyi that there are many other online stores that have wish lists as well! Great for those of us who may need to slow down our retail therapy! Loved your crochet as well! Happy Stitching and Psalm 91 is one of my favorite psalms to pray over my family. 💗
Hi there Lori! Thanks so much for your kind comment. I’m thrilled you like Merry Sunshine and added it to your wish list. Please share other online stores with wish lists if you don’t mind. I only know of 123Stitch…however I have done absolutely no research to find others!! I love 91:11 when I saw it on this stitch. I’ll have to have a look at Psalm 91 in its entirety, thanks for sharing that! Hoppy you’re finding some stitchy time this weekend 😀
Hi Sharon. Another enjoyable video and beautiful stitching and your crochet blanket is lovely. I'm all for new starts:) If you don't start something then there's no chance that it will ever get finished, right??? lolol At least that's what I tell myself:) Glad that you had some fun time with the new grand baby. Hope that you have a great rest of your week. Happy Stitching!
Hello there Inez! I love your philosophy about new starts 😀 And I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I’m been finding some stitching time and I hope you have been finding some time to stitch too!
Just found your flosstube. Your afgan is lovely! Can't wait to see the finished piece. I stitched Frances Grassby a couple years ago on 40 count. I really enjoyed stitching her. Going to go watch your past flosstubes!
Yay, Jennifer…I’m sooooo glad you found my channel and enjoyed my latest video 😊 I bet your finish of Frances Grassby looks absolutely amazing especially on 40 count. Enjoy my other videos…it’s a fun journey I think! Happy stitching and see you next week!
Wonderful floss tube! Love love love the diversity of what you stitch!! I am hoping to get farther on my Santa today and then post some pics so you can see
Oh yes, Nancy - please do.! You could email them to me…that would be wonderful. Also when you get it finish, send me a pic of it. Would it be ok for me to share the pic of your finish on a video once you get it done? I would love to do that!!
Beautiful stitching! I look forward to seeing what your new starts will be. I don’t really have plans. I am just doing new starts when I want to. It has been a great feeling to just pull most of what I need from stash. I have belonged to the Colour and Cotton fabric and floss clubs for a couple of years. I also get the Be Stitch Me fabric. It is nice to look through my stash and pick out what I need. Happy stitching!
Thank you so much for your kind comment and sharing what you do. Being a part of those clubs is a great way to build your stash so you have what you need any time you want to start something new. I have participated in the BeStitchMe fabric club for a very short time. I absolutely love her fabrics and Sand Dollar is one of my favorites that I got introduced through the club. I’ll have to take a closer look at Colour and Cotton clubs. That sounds interesting. I hope you’ve been able to find some stitchy time this weekend 😀
Just found you and I'm happy I did so. I'm tired of "haul-heavy" floss tubes. You're talking about your work -- in all crafts -- and leaving a *small* segment for 'haul' is refreshing. I love the samplers you discussed -- a couple of them are huge (in my books). I don't crochet much (I can do granny squares if they don't have to be the same size) but I've been a knitter for almost 65 years. "DK" = Double Knit. About 21-22 sts per inch for knitters (no idea for crochet). Crocheting takes a lot more yarn than knitting -- due to the fact that except for chain stitch, the crochet stitches individually take more yarn than loops of knit stitches. I think your granny square blanket is *gorgeous* and congratulate you on it. Nothing I could ever do! Again, it's refreshing to hear someone focus on process more than on product consumption. Thanks! I look forward to another flosstube. P.S. Writing from Canada; very concerned about you all as our neighbours. Just a thought. Take care.
Hello there Margaret!! I’m so glad you found me too and that you’re enjoying what you’re seeing on my channel. 😊 I love this hobby of ours and I hope that comes through. I do admire that you’re a knitter. I’m amazed when I see people knit without looking at their needles - that is fascinating to me. Are you one of those knitters? I do aspire to be one. I just picked up knitting a short time ago and have only done a wash cloth and scarf so far but I am looking at patterns so I can try to do a larger project. And it’s kind of you to be concerned about your US neighbors. Everyone in the US just needs to vote! I’m hoping that after the election there’s something done that requires fact checking and balanced reporting like in the days when I was growing up or as a young adult. There’s other things to be done too of course but I just believe in being truthful and doing the right thing. I hope you’re having a great stitchy weekend!
You’re only two years into cross stitching again and you could have fooled me into thinking you’ve been doing it for a very long time. You have stitched so many! I love your finish, wips and starts. ❤
Awwww…what a nice comment 😊! I do stitch a bunch and I think I’m a pretty fast stitcher but I could definitely be wrong about that!! I hope you’re finding time to stitch this weekend.
Hi there Sarah! I’m so glad you enjoyed watching my latest FlossTube. I absolutely love sharing my love of stitching with all of you. You’re the 2nd person who has shared that they are stitching on Love Never Fails…which is so cool! It is a beautiful stitch. I hope you’ve been finding some stitchy time this week and have a bunch of time to stitch this weekend! I’ll be posting a new video either tonight or tomorrow morning so look for that!!
Welcome!! I’m thrilled you found my channel and have enjoyed it so far! And it is so cool that you live in Newport News. Another Virginian! I hope you’ve been finding some time to stitch and have some fun!!
Amanda, congrats on your finish of Love Never Fails. I bet it’s gorgeous!! Glad you enjoyed the latest video and I hope you’ve been finding some stitchy time this weekend 😀
Hello Sharon, I missed commenting on your last video. You’re probably wondering where I’ve been since I pretty much comment on every one of your videos, but I have been very very busy. I have learned how to crochet so I am working on a couch size Afghan in the most beautiful royal purple. So I have been splitting my time between quilting finishing and crochet. I have been watching class too but normally I just throw it on the TV and just listen to it. It’s kind of background noise so I know you can comment there but I haven’t quite figured it out so I have to go back and comment on my phone which I’m doing today. It’s great to have you back. Looking forward to your next flosstube
Hi there Diana, I’m so glad to hear from you 😊 Congrats on learning how to crochet, it’s a fun hobby and I love how portable it can be. Your afghan for your couch is a big project but I’m sure you’re having fun with it - I seem to remember that purple is your favorite color but I definitely could be mistaken! I hope you’ve been doing well. I’ve missed our interaction and all the interesting info and stories you share…
I wish I could add the picture of my Love Never Fails. I am almost done, I know you won't do what I did. I didn't confirm the man's feet met the bar they are standing on. His feet came out 2 stitches short! So I had to take his shoes off and make his legs 2 stitches longer. This is being stitched for my 50th anniversary. Love yourflosstube!!
Hi there Carrie! I would love to see your finish of Love Never Fails. You could send a pic to my email at everydaystitcher@gmail.com if you like. What you did to adjust for the two stitches is a perfect solution. I would have done the exact same thing! And I’m thrilled that you are enjoying my channel 😊. I hope you’re finding some stitchy time this week!
You pointed to a cross stitch you have on the wall, you called it tee ledger I think. Can you tell me the exact name and who it was by. Just love it, It's a got to have.
Merry Sunshine looks great now it’s finished. You have a wonderful eclectic pallet of stitches on the go. Great for every mood. You may have answered this before - once you have finished a stitch what do you do with the kitted up floss? How do you manage all the “leftover” floss? Do you set it aside for reuse and shop from it before you purchase more etc, cause it always looks so organised. Would just love to know your thought process. Hope that makes sense.
Awww…thank you Amanda 😊!! Once I finish a stitched item, I do put the floss back into my stash. I keep track of the floss that’s available in my stash on an app called XStitch Plus by PerformTec Ltd. I just go into the app and increase the count of each floss going back into stash by one. I definitely have ended up with multiples of many DMC colors in my stash which is totally fine. I do shop my stash before I buy any floss when kitting up a project. I’m planning on doing a video on my stitching room within the next few weeks and that will give you a good sense of how I keep my floss organized. I hope this is helpful!
P.S. Isn't that "Mary 395" from HATS framed behind you? That thing is *huge*! Sarah of 'Sarah's Stitchy Spot' flosstube has just finished it. It came across as the size of a crib blanket when she showed it. Can you say more about your work on that piece -- size and how long it took you? Just curious! Thanks!
Hi Margaret, here’s my details on Mary 395. I started her on 5-26-22 and finished on 10-11-23 and I stitched on her at least once every week. She’s stitched on 36 ct Vintage Country Mocha by Zweigart using DMC 3777. The stitched area ended up being 21 inches by 22 inches. I ended up framing her in a 23 inch x 25 inch frame from Amazon. I love having a red sampler always going. I’m working on another one right now!
Haha Dodie, you’re so right!! Even though it might look perfect on my phone’s camera, it may look totally different for anyone watching depending on the device being used to watch it. I never even thought about it really. Thanks for remind me of that fact 😊. Hope you’re finding some stitchy time this weekend!
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that. I’m certainly not a prob so if there’s a crochet stitch I’m b not familiar with, I find that I do best for looking at step-by-step pictures and not videos. I have looked at multiple websites showing steps and the one I find most useful for me personally is from the website called Dummies.com. (Yes!! It is the website that I always use 😊 - the illustrations are just really good.) I just search for the stitch I want to see illustrated step-by-step and go from there. I thought I would just mention it in case you might want to try crochet again! It’s likely you’ve already looked at a bunch of different resources but thought I would just mention it. See you next week! Happy stitching!!
The crochet throw is absolutely fabulous❣️❤️❤️❤️

Ahhhhh 😊, thank you for such a kind comment! The colors chosen by the designer of that crochet blanket are absolutely gorgeous. Happy stitching!
