Retirement looks good on you two! I was blessed to retire at 55 years of age and I’ve enjoyed this period so much. I loved this video. I retired last Dec at the age of 63 from a beloved career. I made a slow exit by going partime, then very partime to fully retired. I needed the transition more then my clients did but I felt lead by God to do it this way. It was the best thing ive ever done. Im so much more relaxed, i spend unlimited time with my family, and my faith has been boosted immensely. God continues to richly bless me and to use me daily to serve others. Blessings to both of you as well as you grow into this next stage of life.

I started considering the retirement life about 2 years ago. My biggest concern is maintaining social contacts. I will be a solo retiree. I liked your statement about winding down. That's really how I feel right now. The energy and ability to take on new things at work has changed. I'm winding down. I also want to be needed in my next phase. Thank you for this topic today, Kim

Thank you Vince and Sherry! I needed this today! I have been retired since June from a very stressful and demanding job. In fact, I retired sooner than I had planned because I needed to leave the environment. I tell people it took me 24 hours to get used to retirement! I am working to get myself in a good place to move forward, as my husband passed away years ago. I was beginning to get a handle on it, when I was in a car accident this week that totaled my car! No one was hurt, but I am struggling with this unexpected bump in my road! I needed this "attitude adjustment" today! You two are so positive and such a great team! Thank you for your dedication to your ministry! I am praying for you!

I was in one a year ago where a driver crossed over and flipped my truck over. I still have a problem thinking just about every car that passes me is going to hit me! I would reach out to SS and see what your benefits would be and you could set up the benefits at a set date in the future so you will not lose income. Dear Sweet Friends…..I so enjoyed this video and NEEDED THIS VIDEO VISIT!!!!!! IT SEEMS ALL MY LIFE, I have dealt with anxiety trying to prepare for “what if”. I was raised to try to plan for what the day holds…and then I would be overwhelmed with anxiety because things would pop up and sometimes it’s a blindside we get from the devil. I also agree with you on needing to rest. We are not pastors, but we are in the Pastor’s family…and in leadership roles. It can be overwhelming….then you have family needs too. God bless you both! I left a long term (30+ yrs) corporate career of nonstop working and stress and until I left I never really knew what I was truly missing….. having peace, connecting with friends in Christ, getting rest, helping others, enjoying my beautiful home and the best of all, spending more quality time in God’s word every! day. And as you said Sherry, seeing new things that God has for me. A hectic job and work life really robs us of many things that matter in our life and walk with God. I realize not everyone has the option to work less so for those, I pray the Lord sustains you in that chapter. I am thankful for this season and just may retire early since I am younger that retirement age. 🙏🏻

You did leave on a high note, and we miss you, but I am so glad y’all are enjoying retirement and getting to spend more time with each other and your children and grandchildren. Shortly after I retired early, I wondered how I ever had the time to work! Two of my siblings started having some health issues, so I am available to help them get to and from doctor appointments, etc. I’m more of a night person also, so I do like sleeping in. God will always be able to use us until we take our last breath. Enjoy yourselves❣️
U could spend more time with the Lord and each other!! I've had to get on SSI and im divorced and will be 55 next month and living in my grandparents 1973 double wide mobile home that I partially inherited. It served my family well all these yrs. But now falling apart. Don't get enough SSI to survive here with no mortgage as it is much less if I had to rent somewhere. So with all that said. I'm not liking being alone all the time but I do have the time to be with the Lord and in His word! That's the only REAL positive thing about being single and living here. I'm an hour away from both my children in opposite directions so that includes my grandblessings. And it includes all the rest of my family. So again alone. But I AM SO THANKFUL for the roof over my head and getting my SSI and sit able to get around (not well but I do) and the Im thankful for face time bc I can see my family like that if I wanna. And im still wondering where you get ur earrings, sherry? Love all of the ones You’ve worn.
