"I hope I give you the shits, you fucking wimp." Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Chris Robson, Tina Landini, Darren Morfitt, Emma Cleasby, and Leslie Simpson. Continuity Check Fact: The movie probably takes place on the 1 and 2 September 2001, as England did indeed beat Germany 5 - 1 on the night of the 1st. Those nights were indeed full moons. Gun Enthusiast Fact: The G3 rifle used by Spoon (Darren Morfitt) and later Terry (Leslie Simpson) didn't work properly when firing blanks. During some scenes in the house, you can see Leslie Simpson manually working the bolt to chamber the next round. Practical Over CGI Fact: There is very little CGI used in the movie because the people involved in the filming believed that CGI was being over-used at the time and that it would take viewers out of the movie because they would be focused on how the special effects looked rather than the story, thus the werewolves are animatronics and body suits with stilts.
Dog Soldiers is one of the best low key werewolf movies of the last 25 years. The design looks great. The action scenes us great and the movie is just a lot of fun.
This movie has the best werewolf design EVER Most werewolf movies portray the monsters as big wolves with some human features but here they are huge, strong and highly intelligent All practical effects, there is very little CGI here We love ya showdown, keep the hits coming
I went to see this in the cinema when it came out. Funnily enough, when i bought my ticket I went to the screen and sat down. Then I noticed there was a bunch of really young kids running around and I'm thinking "What the fuck?..." So I get out into the light and see they had given me a ticket to see Snow Dogs. The Cuba Gooding Jnr kids movie. Thankfully it got sorted out quickly and I got to see this great
Originally the camera was supposed to be an antique with flash powder that uses magnesium, antimony, suffer and silver... so the flash was an explosive salted with silver that would hurt the werewolves. However, it's a bitch to swing around without dislodging the powder and takes an Ge to replace. It also never actually had silver in it, that was erroneously used to denote the colour of the flash, which actually used aluminium rather than silver. For these reasons the camera flash was kept so the pictures could be used at the end of the film and the bright electric flash used to justify the distraction.
I saw this movie back in the day and named me Australian Shepherd spoon dog . One of the greatest werewolf movies ever and all done with practical effects no cgi Bullock!
No werewolf scarier then the ones in this movie they are so so smart. They work as a team and seem to toy with the soldiers instead off just killing them half the time
@@PopcornReactions literally. They are like an army squad strategy in each attack like the soldiers strategy in each defense. It's insane. Such a great werewolf flick
@@Dex2024 literally. I've been hunted by a couple off foxes once. Think I accidentally got too close to the babies. But they followed me in the dark for a good 10 mins and that was actually scary. Let alone what happened to these brave lads on the movie. They fought with everything tho. Spoon. What a legend 1v1 a werewolf then that other came up like a ninja to rescue it's mate
This is one of my favorite werewolf movies because it doesn't waist a lot of time. It gets right into the action its like you want werewolf action here you go right from the gate nonstop till the end. Now when it comes to the werewolfs in it some werewolf movies. Go more turds the savage animal route with basic animal intelligence. Basically more brown than brain basically full animal form. This one goes for more 50 /50 basically the look of a wolf but the stance an form of a human with a human intelligence level. But the look of a wolf an added strength to.
they had to sneak spoon because they couldn't take him 1V1. spoon went down like a G and i bet you those werewolves are still telling stories about him. "i fear no man. but that thing?..............it scares me"
Such a underrated movie. Please watch Christian Bale in the movie Eqaulibrium, which i believe is a criminally underrated movie too but it's fantastic. Such a great cast too. U will ❤ it am sure.
Great pick. This is one of my sons and me favourite to watch. Imo best werewolf movie done in last 20yrs. Love the acting and the banter they all have with each other at the start and sam trying to eat Ryan's guts lol its bloody brilliant 👌

Dog soldiers is literally the perfect Predator copy and the guy who played cooper is the og voice actor for soap in the original Modern Warfare games
It's interesting how movies and games can be connected in unexpected ways!
Night of the Living Dead x Predator.
Super underrated movie. Always happy when people discover how awesome it is. This is how you make the most out of a low budget.
Couldn't agree more!
Great movie. The lad Spoon stole the show. 100% worth a few watches over the years.

Dogman encounters podcasts callers reference this film frequently.
Good pick grazing bull! Keep the bangers rolling!
Always!
Just remember, werewolves are camera shy
lol

That's what makes them truly terrifying! The intelligence and strategy behind their attacks make for a thrilling movie experience.

Wolf pack hunting

I think the hound from hell in American werewolf or the werewolf from howling is considerably more scary but that’s only my opinion
I like this movie. The Action And Horror Together. Great Great Combination. With Some Humor As Well.👍🏾💯👍🏾
I appreciate your feedback!
