I have a TS-473A (4-bay) running QuTS Hero (for ZFS support) and I've been very happy with it. Lots of clouds supported for backing-up important files there. I currently back-up to Wasabi. I use the Time Machine volume support to backup our Mac's, and use SMB support for scanning docs on our printer back to a shared NAS volume. Allows our small home business to be more productive (and backed-up). Updates always seem to go smoothly. My only gripe - and I've seen this from others too - is the shutdown and boot-up times can be very slow, with all the services it maintains.
Hi! this is my first QNAP. I am wondering how does the QNAPCloud work? My main goal is to use it as my primary storage for my mobile device (and stop paying for cloud services). A video about this app would be helpful 👍🏼
Also curious about this, but if you search for "Qnap" on the app store they have this application called "Qsync Pro" and my understanding is that it can basically clone any device to your Qnap NAS. Going to use my NAS for like a Google Drive alternative.
no longer are you necessarily keeping those private files in some file cabinet thats locked in the basement of the house. its on your laptop and its then therefore up here in this cloud that exists above us, Right?
I have a few qnap devices, with truenas core & scale installed. I hope their security has gotten better.

could you show how to Vlan the second ethernet and do you really need a Vlan switch? or is it better to run it on a different subnet?
