these are the ones that hold only 1.5kg, there are better versions for both of these. smallrig 4102, up to 3.5kg, or ulanzi UURig R060 for much more mounting options on the clamp. I wouldn’t trust mounting my camera on any of the ones that only hold 1.5kg. And if you need an extension arm then the ifootage LT4-3.5 holds 6kg but im still looking for cheaper options
I have one similar to the small rig with the metal crank I find that if you're using it with a GoPro on a bicycle that the metal crank Jiggles around and you can hear it in your video it is very distracting so I just purchased a ulanzi we'll see how it works out
Hi there, this was a super useful video! Quick question, I am looking at getting the SmallRig to use for a DIY copy stand for film scaning. Do you think the SmallRig would be able to hold up a DSLR with a macro lens? Thanks in advance!
If you want a higher reach, get the r094, if you want the camera closer to the handle, get the r099. Both are pretty equal in quality, it just depends on the length you personally want to mount the camera.
I don't have a motorcycle, so I don't know what the full force would be like. You'll have to test this with your specific setup. The r094 feels sturdy to me, but again, your specific situation may not be sturdy enough.
The load capacity for each is around 3 lbs, so that can fit anything between a GoPro to 7" camera monitor. This is not good for mirrorless cameras or anything heavier than 3 lbs. Even a device that is exactly 3 lbs might be too heavy. Also not great for mounting on bikes or moving vehicles.
Maybe for short trips without bumps and using a very light camera like a GoPro. Otherwise, I would not trust this on long trips with a bumpy road and harsh weather.
Welp, I was looking for this exact comparison and you made the perfect video. Thanks!

Smallrig also has the same claw mount that ulanzi has but in a deep blue.

Was going to buy the Smallrig until I saw your video. Going to test it on my atv this season
I’m surprised that there is a difference. Thx for the review

same question 😮mine too !!! please answer
Thank you soooo much for making this video, so very helpful!
Thanks man, very good revieuw !! Buying definitely the Ulanzi.
Thanks. I'm wondering how much this hold. I got a 1.5lb fish finder and hope it holds that.
Please respond - Which is better r099 or r094? Especially if i want to mount my insta 360 with a selfie stick on my motorcycle.

@@VideoGizmology I'm okay with length, just want to know sturdy wise. Is one superior to the other?

Would love to see real use differences. What can each of these hold?

스마트폰을 장착하려면 추가로 어떤 장비가 필요하며 둘 중 어떤 것이 더 좋은가요 스마트폰 달아서 사용하려면요?
Hi, which close the smaller please? I'm looking for a clamp for my car headrest. Thanks.
Smallrig closes the smallest.
Can this take the insta 360 x3 with its selfie stick attached to bicycle?
no. it's not sturdy enough.
You did not compare same desigb clamps...
Can ballhead black magic arm separate from clamp?
yes, on both the Smallrig and Ulanzi
can it hold a dslr ??
Not really. Maybe a small camera, like a Sony ZV-E10 with 16-50mm kit lens, but not a midsize or large camera.
Anyone know if these can withstand use on a motorcycle?

Thank you, very helpful
All rig is crap. I have one and the screw gets cross threaded if you clamp it tight enough to hold anything.
