Just installed mine.., and that's sucks..I have placed them in couple different cars and they turn off by themselves...but in Ford.... they won't!! How to fix this?

only one question can you adjust the intensity of light so that maybe I want a more subdued background light
Yes you can, it has a brightness setting built into the app. Incredible little system for the price.

Cut the plug off and hard wire it into a positive point that cuts off when the key turns off..
