The pump arrived with the circuit board and was an easy install. You covered key steps that I would have missed, such as moving the rubber fittings from one pump to another, the tubing from the steam generator to the head, and hidden screws (like the one behind the Bissell logo). This is an excellent instructional video. It seemed like a lot of screws had to be removed, but once the new pump was installed it went back together fairly easy. The steam pump must be a common problem with these. I see these units at the Goodwill outlets just about every time I got there, and often still in the carton.
Thank you so much! Great detailed video! I ordered the part and replaced just the steam pump and it worked again!! I found that I didn’t have to take the screws out of the adjustable length of the long handle rod to get to the pump. Clean floors again! Thanks again!
Thanks for the video. Followed it and it worked for me too... however I jacked up the extender. It wont lock into place... I had to stop though as I was having a nervous breakdown by the time I finished.
I just watched your video and ordered the pump. Partswarehouse owes you a beverage of your choice. If this fixes mine, I too will owe you a beverage!!! Thanks and great video.
Also I'm super pumped that I saw this video I was like about to start bawling because I love this machine and I spent all this time detailing it and trying to figure out what was wrong with it
Great video, didn’t need it for the pump replacement but great for the detail of dismantling to get to replace the handle assembly. This comes as one unit and includes the cable that plugs into the unit that you showed at 6mins in. Also the tip to get the lever under the spring at 7mins in - 🍻 cheers
Ordered the pump same problem vacuum still works but mot steam coming out hopefully this works ill be so happy as I love this mop steamer would hate to have yo throw it away
I just pulled the spade connectors off of the pump, they came right off. I then used the spade connectors from the existing circuit board that was still in the vacuum and it connected right up.
@@prohomevideos replaced it last night, and when I heard that ticking sound got super excited. My 13 yo son helped me, not that I couldn't do myself, but I just wanted him to do something. Thank you so much, I really like this steam mop, I was ready to throw it away.

Okay I know this video is like 2 years old but if you happen to see this are all the screws that take it apart the same size or should I definitely keep them separated so I know where they go
Hi, I think I remember that a couple of them might have been a little different in length so if possible, maybe keep that in mind. I really don't think it will be that big of a deal if you put them in the wrong place, the ones that were longer were only longer by a little bit.
There are two colors and two lengths. The water line fittings use 5 short silver screws. All the black screws and the rest of the silver screw are the same length. Two silver screws are under water filler cap Two silver screws are under power cord cover One silver screw under Bissell logo label Two silver screws under handle extension latch The rest are black
I now i need to replace the pump for mine i also bought i new vacuum im glad i can order the part and do it myself and save money because the vacuum works but its leaking from the filter like all the water from the tank drain out through that filter but the seal looks in good condition and not broken and leaves a lot of water when i mop is it because the steam is not working or i need to replace that filter too? Thanks for the video i will appreciate the response to my question. Thank you
Thank you so much for this video. I replaced the pump part & seems to be working with priming noise. I don't see steam & way more water coming out of bottom & seems to be dripping water by filter. Also I can't get the darn handle adjustment on correctly. In video says spring has to be behind but behind what?? Thanks again
@@prohomevideos I figured it out thanks. Had to hit it from the top so it would go under the spring & the side notches lined up. Seems to be working but now I have water coming out the back by foot. So now what? Opened up bottom all the nails are rusted up-ugh!!
Was your giving a knocking sound? Mine is generating heat but when I pull the handle it’s just giving me a knocking sound like the pump isn’t cycling water.
I have the same pet version. You need to remove more screws so that it comes completely apart (which it doesn’t in the video). The handle won’t be a problem.
Hello - my Symphony Pet still has some steam coming out, however I've noticed that it is significantly weaker/less than before. Will this issue be fixed with a new pump or is this a problem with a different part? Appreciate the help, thank you!
Hi, I am not a repairman, just someone who took a chance with replacing that part and it worked. My best opinion would be that it would fix yours though.

I look at Goodwill but haven't seen any of them, if I did, I would definitely scoop them up.

I am so glad it worked out!
Just sent for the pump good video hope it works

Excellent video. Well done. Speeding up the mundane task of taking out the screws really helps. Thank you.

Your water pump came out so easy
Did you use distilled water? I know that some are hard to removed because of the hard water deposits around the seal.
Great video! Very helpful to replace this pump. It is super tedious getting that handle adjust lever back on. Thank you for making this video.
You are welcome!
Thanks for the help! This is exactly what was wrong with my Bissell vacuum/steam mop. You probably saved me loads of money and time.
I am happy it worked out. These things are expensive and expensive to have a shop repair them.
Great how to do video. Good instructions, easy to follow and good voice and video presentation.
Thank you!

Looks like the circuit board is wired to the pump. Did you just cut it off?
I just pulled the spade connectors off of the pump, they came right off. I then used the spade connectors from the existing circuit board that was still in the vacuum and it connected right up.
Totally missed the screw behind the logo. You save me. I actually think I did this on a newer model thats green
I'm glad the video helped!

Lots of screws though lol
Yes there are but the good thing is that they are all the same size. Different colors but who really cares about that.

I am not familiar with your problem as I just fixed my pump. If your seals are good, maybe there is a hairline crack somewhere.

Is there any chance you can make a video of how the wires are supposed to be ? Mine came uncliped and now the back won’t close all the way
Did it come unclipped while you were making a repair? Are the wires that you are talking about the ones seen in this video at about 5:17?
Was your giving a knocking sound? Mine is generating heat but when I pull the handle it’s just giving me a knocking sound like the pump isn’t cycling water.
The knocking sound is the pump priming when you first pull the trigger and it should stop after a few moments.
@@prohomevideos today I had it happen and I held it for like 2 minutes but it just kept pumping but no water came out

I would return it.
What about suctioning?
I do not know about that, my didn't have that problem.
I tried but did not work because mine is symphony pet ,there is no adjustment on handle and I could not open it.

Milne is jammed. I am unable to get it out of vacuum
Do you have some wd40 or something like that, try to spray it below it to loosen up the rubber seal.
@@prohomevideos I ended going to a vacuum repair and they were able to take out the canister that was stuck in the vacuum.

How do you remove the handle
The best I can remember, there are screws on the back of the handle to remove.
