SPOOKY SUPERNATURAL TRIVIA: Jiangshi are the infamous hopping Chinese vampires everyone knows about. They hop and do their zombie/vampire thing. Because they're stiff as shit and can't really move their body well. There's two variants of a Jiangshi. One that's a recently deceased individual coming back to life, the other is a long-dead corpse that never decomposed because of bullshit. There's a bunch of causes for a Jiangshi to emerge, which includes spirit posession, supernatural arts, the corpse absorbing enough positive ki (yang qi), the corpse is not buried and it gets struck by lightning or a preggo/black cat leaps over the coffin, the corpse's soul not wanting to leave its own body because they're too salty to go to the afterlife and when a Jiangshi bites a human. In terms of appearance, everyone recognizes their Qing Dynasty style outfits because almost all the Jiangshi have that appearance. This is only the case due to fiction preferring to use the outfit of the previous generation to imply shit's fucking old, man. That means a hundred years from now, Jiangshi may take the appearance of Bruce Lee. All in all they're not something to take seriously due to how silly they look. But let's consider just what the Jiangshi can really do. Due to being supernaturally animated rather than virus-based, they're basically immune to bullets and nigh unstoppable. They detect human life via their breaths. (Which also makes them susceptible to the holding-your-breath technique seen throughout the Shitstorm) They can turn others into Jiangshi just by sucking your life force out, and their own breaths are lethal. Some Jiangshi don't even hop at all. They fucking jump. Imagine a hundred flying corpses jumping in the air ready to rip your throat out. While they are easy to subdue as like western vampires, they have a fuckton of weaknesses, that doesn't necessarily lessen the threat they present. The most effective method to subdue them still requires you to borderline Pocong Hug them to attach the paper talisman needed to tame and control them. Of course, if you just want to cut to the chase and don't want to preserve the body, fire works fine. Burn, burn to the ground. 9 DA̵̸̝͜YS R̡͜EMAIN̨͠
Apparently the reason this myth started is that two priests would attach poles to the arms of like four corpses and carry them all the way to their home towns all across china at night to slow down decomposition. This is because if you weren't buried in the town you were born in, the spirits of your ancestors am dissapoint and will curse the fuck out of you. The way they were carried made the corpse look like they were hopping. And thus a legend is born. Also, the preists would wear big dumb bells on their heads to let people know the corpses a'coming. Because to look on a corpse if you ain't a preist will mean the ancestors am dissapoint and will curse the fuck out of you.

Furthermore, there were TWO previous Clocktower games, meaning that this should really have been Clocktower 3 (the Super Famicom game and the Playstation game). Because the voice for Mr. Bates KIND of sounded like Mark Hamill, I looked it up. Turns out the voice for Mr. Bates was done by Roger Jackson, the same guy who did the voice on the phone from the Scream movies. He also did the voice for Hol Horse in the English dub of the 1993 Jojo's Bizarre Adventure OVA. The Two Best Friends would also know him from his work in "Deadly Premonition", where he did the voices for 'The General' Lysander, Jack 'The Raging Bull', and Wesley the Gunsmith. He is probably BEST known, though, for being the voice for Mojo Jojo from "The Powerpuff Girls". Regardless of that, he's also done voices in Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3, Final Fantasy X and XII, Skyrim, both Dishonoured games, Fallout 4, Minecraft: Story Mode, and a BUNCH of other games. If you happen to remember another Shitstorm game called "Among the Sleep", which was about a toddler navigating spooky things with the help of his teddy bear, then SURPRISE! Roger Jackson was the voice for Teddy.
Clock Tower 2 isn't even Clock Tower 2. It's actually Clock Tower: Ghost Head, the name change was a localization decision similar to the nes and snes final fantasies. It's also the worst in the entire franchise. Clock Tower snes is first game, and Clock Tower PS1 is the real Clock Tower 2, which is a direct sequel to the snes game.
From a technical stand point its better than Clock Tower PS1. It loads faster, movement speed and animations are more fluid, and for a ps1 game it looks beautiful, but thats really all the good things I can say about Ghost Head. The story and plot is the most nonsensical bullshit, and difficult to follow and decipher in the entire series. The characters (outside of Bates) are all terrible and incredibly uninteresting. It has the worst stalkers in the series. Unlike the previous 2 games, Ghost Head's puzzles can't be solved with logic (and a good 80% of the time can't even be solved with trial and error), so you'll pretty much need a guide to even come close to finishing it. Bates is the best part of the game...but playing him too much locks you into many of the bad endings.
Damashi The Kaotic bummer. The premise of a slasher protagonist with split personalities is super interesting, and I actually love the aesthetic of a guy in an oni mask with a butcher knife.
hamish rattray Bates is a great character and an interesting mechanic in a really shitty game. Maxwell (oni mask guy) is an alright stalker (though he honestly wouldn't even make top 5 imo), but you don't even face him untill the last area of the game. I'd recommend checking out Retsupre's commentary on it if you're interested in learning more. Also check out the Ghost Head Drama CD for more insight into Bates' character.

Certain phrases just have become ingrained to be said in a certain from watching them too much. Others include: Burning! Are you okay?(Buster Wolf!) GEESE. What a mansion! What do you think of it? It's really powerful, especially against living things! (And many more!)

To turn in to Bates, you gotta put the Amulet down somewhere. There are only a few places where you can do so, and you have to first click on it in your Inventory, then click on the place you want to try putting it. Then you have to run into an enemy and mash the Panic Button to turn into Bates.

You know, I wasn't sure this video was worth watching at first, but the half hour or so of boredom makes a really good setup for that ending.

Up here in Newfoundland, most houses have the light switch outside the bathroom. It's because the voltage some places of the world uses is higher and safety regulations say you can't have a switch connected to this many volts in the same room there is water.
9:00 I've vomitted yellow like that. I think it might ahve been a galbladder thing. The worst part was that I continued to have the urge to vomit, long after I threw EVERYTHING up. I felt compelled to keep on drinking water just to have something to help flush it out with more water.

Clock Tower is one of the most easily confused survival horror series ever. Here's a summary:
- Clock Tower, aka Clock Tower: The First Fear (1995) - as seen on Shitstorm 3: Shittribution - first game in the series, introduces Scissorman in all his SNES glory.
- Clock Tower 2, aka Clock Tower (1996) - as seen on Shitstorm 4 - a direct sequel to the first game, continues the legend of Scissorman.
- Clock Tower: Ghosthead, aka Clock Tower 2: The Struggle Within (1998) - this shitshow! - a terrible new story involving a 7 year old girl who chases you with safety scissors (so I guess a scissor girl??) and also zombies and no true blue scissorman. LOOK IT UP, I DARE YOU!
- Clock Tower 3 (2003) - as seen on The original Shitstorm - magical girl adventures involving serial murderers and featuring a few wannabe successor Scissormen
- Nightcry (2016) - as seen on Shitstorm 5 - janky spiritual successor featuring a "Scissorstalker"

For some reason, the idea of a super tough demonic spirit being trapped in a defenseless schoolgirl is kind of awesome. I'm sure its been done before, but I just think its funny.

To turn in to Bates, you gotta put the Amulet down somewhere. There are only a few places where you can do so, and you have to first click on it in your Inventory, then click on the place you want to try putting it. Then you have to run into an enemy and mash the Panic Button to turn into Bates.
I hope you two will play more of this game!
