Never tired or bored with these small engine. For most of people who use the car mainly in city and short travels this car offers an excellent ratio between consum/ performance/ maintenance cost. Good video Joe!!!

why such a car is not good for longer journeys? What does it mean short trip? What is your opinion for a 250km trip? what are the worst things that can happen if I occasionally use the car for longer trips, too?

This video brings back many memories. I had my driving test in one of these cars, except that I was driving the hatchback version. The stress, the cold stare and emotionless voice of the examiner, the quiet clicking of the turn signal - it all comes back. Fortunately that's behind me now.

I have the 44kw one, honestly for 1st car and can't really complain, it's simple and gets me from A to B and costed me 5K €, it has everything for a beginner driver

That weird whining sound is caused by gearbox. 1.0 MPI in Fabia 3 uses dq100 gearbox which is a gearbox from VW UP and it is noisy. Interesting thing is that Polo with this engine uses standard dq200 gearbox which is usually used with 1.2 TSI and 1.0 TSI.

How does it drives on motorways? I don’t mean fuel consumption 😂 as I know it’s a money saver, but how does it sound doing 70mph or 115kmh long trip? The older generation sounded like it’s spilling its guts. Dzieki pozdro

How are these 1.0 l engines covering past 100k km? From my colleagues experiences, these cars usually don't go over 70 k km without problems.

In company where I'm working, we have a few 1.0 TSI 95km, in Fabia and Scala. Some of them with more than 150000km withouth bigger issues.

Bruh, No problems, really. It's now over 220k km with LPG. The only problems is around the gearbox/clutch. Something bumps at idle since 120k. Engine works good, fuel cons. is the same...

Good drive Joe but servicing must be expensive needing a
new engine at every major service, pity 'cause I quite liked
the Fabia I was a passenger in one on a drive down through
France a few years ago, but then it did have an even number
of cylinders. Oh, I'm going to get some stick for that. Nice car
spoilt by an underpowered engine. Well done Joe thanks again.

4000rpm at 120kph, 0-100 over 20 seconds and 7L/100km fuel consumption? This car is a joke.

    • @TinglingTaco
      @TinglingTaco 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Wouldn't be an issue to me. Over here the speed limit is 100 km/h, at that speed the engine spins at ~3300 rpm. 0-100 was not a full send in this video, you have to have dry conditions to test that out. Also, the 7L/100km consumption varies per person.
If you're a good driver, you'll get decent mileage while still being able to keep up with traffic.
