it's the 1.1 eco model probably, produced just before this model was discontinued. it had longer gear ratios to lower down fuel consumption
I guess its for low rpm, economy shitbox as always…
i have a panda from 2004 and can do the same
a lot of smaller engine cars have long gear ratios, my citroen c1 goes 100kmh in 2nd gear 🤣
@@albion1748 also a Mini one with the 1.5 petrol, it can do 110 in 2nd (personal experience)

My first car, it was definitely more vibrant than the 1.2 60hp I got later.
And note that compared to the 1.2 on this version FIAT did not put power steering, tachometer, glove box lid, conditioned air and side handles. Paid factory new 5900€, a super bargain. The 1108 fire was a legendary engine. I reselled that car with 600000 KM

@@smiley-ii8lo Long gear ratio, which explains the car's slow acceleration. Fifth gear is just extra fuel efficiency for the car's lower top speed.

Panda is always Panda and no other producer can do the same- FIRE engine is a 100% designed and built italian engine and such engine has been produced for 35 years, not few years. If you had an issue with FIRE engine, you solved with few euros. Great Panda !
Well, until punto late second generation the head gasket was also a head-ache, apart from that great engine
yeah right, my Panda consumed a shit ton of oil, was a burnt valve, and even after getting it fixed, it still consumed a lot of oil, the cylinders are used up, a common problem in Fiat forums with the 1.2 fire engine seems to be oil consumption

I'm currently driving a Panda courtesy car till I get my VXR in a couple of days, but I can honestly say it's the epitome of slow car fast fun. Stupid long gear ratios, lightweight as anything you'll ever drive and can be absolutely thrown around corners with complete disregard for your own health and safety. I think I genuinely prefer it to the 500 (not my Abarth though, that was something special).

I made a trip from Turin to Puglia with this model of car and between creaks noises and vibrations it was an uncomfortable and long journey, fortunately the estate only 3 months and then I took the golf 6 my father I settle for the punto 188 haaaaaa

the 0-100 is wrong. its around 14 seconds. you probably measured from 0-110 (because there the time starts to show in the video.)
