I’m taking y’all on a tour of my house today and what’s it like living in section 8. it’s almost 1year since we moved into section 8, I will share what I think of it so far. please don’t forget to leave me a comment and a thumbs up. I’m a landlord with several properties and I have been blessed with very good tenants that appreciate and take care of my properties!! It is landlord choice as to who they accept as a tenant as long as it is not discrimination. The tenants came to me because they knew I had properties and I also knew their characters to be good people. I never have to deal with missed or late payments 🙏🏾
YOu should not have to. We should be responsible enough to set aside our portion.
You have given too much information about who occupies which room in your home. Simply say it is one of the bedrooms etc. People who are watching could target your property so take heed.

House is beautiful. This is my confirmation God is about to give me my house this year. I'm on housing and I got a family of 7 in an apartment and it's really tight. ❤

These days I’m guessing Sec 8 is a blessing with how high rent is these days , and now that I’ve decided enough with the rent prices . The prices of a basic 3 bedroom house has sky rocketed , I’ve seen some not even in a gods neighborhood for $750k that’s ridiculous

Kids only do what they are allowed to do. We had carpet in bedrooms while growing up, and we were not allowed to eat or drink in our rooms, so no spills or food to mess carpet up. We were always taught to take care of our home.

You’re lucky you have a nice house. My only advice to you is to keep the house clean including your yard. I used to rent my house to section 8 but all they did is to trash my house. Holes in wall,scratch the hardwood floor, the house is filthy etc etc.I complain to section 8 but did not help me to get rid of them out. After 1 year I did not renew their lease. We have to repair the house that cost us $10,000 that insurance will not pay.
First of thank you for being here. Second, I’m sorry that you had to go through that. All the places we rented we’ve never had any complaints from our landlords. We’ve always taken care of the place like it was our own. I pay money for it so I need to take care of it(plus deposit too) so it’s only right that it’s taken care of. I always make sure that my home is clean. I barely ask our landlord to fix anything because I can take care of it myself(some of the stuff😅) thank you for watching.

Nice home, glad to see a tenant that cares and keeps up the property, and appreciate the washer and dryer. Wish my tenants did. Good landlord, he really don't care about the refrigerator they only pay an additional $ 20 or $25. 00 per month extra to landlord and for the landlord one less problem for him.

Where do you get the big soft blankets from
I bought them from a flea market. They sell them cheaper there. Some of the blankets I have are from Burlington or Ross.

Section 8 pays half of your rent and you pay the other half,I wish I can get on section 8 ,i live in Austin Tx. It so hard to get on the list,I have tried so many times they always tell the list closed for another five years go by it the same thing

@@solovantravel- what are you assuming? There are a number of people who are in need of low income housing who have jobs. Dependent on what city and state someone lives, $24k per year can be considered as low income since that is only $1200 per month. Hell, there is a city here in the United States that considers a yearly income of $104,000 as low income.

Make sure that you teach your kids to help out and make their beds. I love how you organized their rooms. Velvet hangers are at the $1.25 Tree Store, in packs. They have storage bins there too!
A swing set; in the back yard, this summer would be nice for them to swing on.

Is this section 8 based on income. What are the income requirements? Was it a long wait📚?The place is very nice. I would appreciate if these questions get answered.
You can look up the laws & regulations for the state you’re in. 🙂
