I’m keeping it real- u have a lot of stuff but you have everything in its place and u keep a nice clean home. It feels homely from here looking in. And I’m sorry about your losses- my condolences
I use to have section 8 but I decided to let it go once my youngest daughter graduated from high school. It was the security of “what if” I can’t pay rent I want a stable home for my children. But was HAPPY to let it go because every Year you have to take all you business to them ( bank, everything) reporting change it was just too much for me I want my privacy I want to have whatever amount of money in the bank I just love not being pinned down. But I am HAPPY for you 😊❤
Thank you so much for this everyone pays 30% of their income, meaning it determines how much income is coming into the home. Also, thankyou for letting it be known all section 8 housing isn't just being in the projects.
I'm so very sorry about the loss of your sons. God Bless you, my condolences and hugs. You know they still come around to check on you. Thank you for sharing your lovely place with me.
Thats why im staying where im at in Brooklyn, NY because all these new apartments they are building the rooms are small. My 3 bedroom 2 bathrooms are a nice size. Only way im leaving if they put me out. Rent is sky high. My section 8 does help a lot. Thank god for it. Love your video. Thank you for sharing
Your home is lovely. It is so cozy and comfortable. I have heard N.Y. rents were extremely expensive! My mortgage is $1,300 for a 3 bed, 2 bath home in the Midwest. It’s a small town but I love it.
For a small apartment, you have done a great job. Rent is sky high in California, I feel so blessed to own my own home. A suggestion that may help you. Try to use some baskets in your pantry and cabinets it will make it easier for you to get to your can goods and other items that you have stored inside. Baskets work very well in the bathrooms. You have so many beautiful decor pieces.
You keep saying a mess… it actually isn’t!!!! I love itttt. I’m a single mother n live in an apartment with my adult son… thank youuuu for the ideas… TV in bathroom is actually a cool idea
I love home tours. My favs- The blue rug, ottoman, your curio cabinets, the big armoire and your bedspread. That looks like an air fryer that you said you never use. You should try it out. You can cook so many things without heating up the kitchen with the oven in the summer. There are lots of videos of recipes and tips here on youtube. God bless 💜
I think you have a lovely home. I also don’t think you have too much stuff, especially since everything has a place and every room can be utilized for its intended purpose. What you are is a maximalist, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. When you can’t use your rooms for what they’re intended for, that’s where the problem comes in. You have everything very well organized and clean, you’re no where near a hoarder, I would know because I have volunteered cleaning for hoarders when I was physically able to. You’re a maximalist with a lovely home. And my deepest condolences to you 🙏🏽🙏🏽💜💜
I really enjoyed watching your video and it helped me make a big decision. I work for the federal government and I live in nycha Brooklyn. My public housing development converted over to private AKA section 8. My reasonable accommodation transfer converted over to private with me. So since it converted over with me that one year rule was thrown out for me and I was given a voucher that is stuck to me. Even though there is a section 8 that is stuck to my apartment, I also received a section 8 that is stuck to me where I can go anywhere in the five boroughs. However looking at some of these comments it really helped me out because I was selected nine times for NYC housing connect AKA lottery, yes 9 times as a matter of fact I was just selected yesterday. After touring some of these newly constructed developments the rooms are extremely small compared to my two bedroom that I am currently living in with my Son. I am really happy I fell upon your video because it helped me make a choice that I've been struggling with. My building is a three-story two apartments per floor. I'm going to tell you something there are people who live in this development that I'm living at day work for the city and some even work for the state they live in a three-bedroom two-bath and their rent is only $500 some even only pay $200 (I kid you not). I don't know what type of income they submitting to nycha but I know one thing they are not paying over $400 and these are people who work for the city or for the state. And another thing too I work for the federal government like I said and just because people work for the city and the state doesn't mean that they are respectable they are just as ratchet as the next one. And believe it or not they're the ones that's nasty. I'm receiving workers comp and I'm paying over $1,000 and it's just me and my son in a two-bedroom. The lowest rent in these type of buildings AKA nycha Pact Rad depending on someone's income can be $50. Because of the fact that your apartment is under section 8 if you lose all your income the most that you would have to pay is $50 or maybe nothing at all because your voucher will absorb your rent.
You have a nice apartment and rent is high everywhere. I live here in Texas and you have to make three times the money for rent to move in anywhere and it starts at 17 and 1800 for one or two room and more.
Yes, the apartment is cluttered. You just need better organization. If it were my apartment I would borrow space from elsewhere. In your case it's not possible. Nevertheless, you have a nice, clean apartmrnt.
I live in a section 8 building like yours in the DC metro area, but mine is for seniors. My one bedroom apt is also small. I moved here from a larger one bedroom so I had to size down some. Your apt is super cluttered and you could probably get rid of 50% of that stuff. I bet you have stuff that you don't even remember you have. You are REALLY, REALLY close to being a hoarder. It's just you, get rid of all that junk! Anything that you don't use from month to month, you don't need, unless it's seasonal stuff like clothes and boots, etc. or maybe luggage. You'll enjoy your living space so much more without all that clutter!
Hiiiiii ☺️☺️☺️!!! I enjoyed your video!!! TYFS. You made me sad 😔, I'm VERY sorry for the loss of your sons. I feel you as a sister that I never had. I am, was raised; Roman Catholic & You already know that Holy Water I am NEVER without (in my Home & ON MY PERSON), wherever I may travel!! Keep your Faith & your BEAUTIFUL Smile. I will be subscribing & looking forward to seeing you again 😚😚😚. Remain Healthy & Stay SAFE!!!
I grew up in a nycha apartment, the apartment wasn't bad because my parents moved into it when it was brand new. The people messed the building up with the poop and pee all over the place, the trash everywhere and destroying everything they came in contact with.
Im black, and i have NO WATER on my floor. I usually have between 4 and 6 packs and they go in my closet near the front door and kitchen. Everything in my apartment has to be inside a closet or cabinet or something. I cant have stuff sitting all around up against the walls. Im looking at your linen closet right now and guess what...youre a HOARDER!
@jonirichards1625. You are absolutely right. I'm Black too. I don't have my water on the floor. They are usually in the refrigerator, or under the cabinet. I'm a neat fanatic. Everything, has to be in place. It gives me peace of mind.
That's why I refuse to even live in a community that is mixed use or income restricted/voucher. Those unemployed or underemployed fellas cause too much trouble. They like to watch you go to work and set you up.
It's affordable housing which except subsidies. They are all over the state. Projects are starting to become a thing in the past. Once you make it affordable rents doubles sometimes triple. Tfs btw.
It's your space ✨️ and just to make more room in your apartment ✨️ can you consider decluttering so you can breathe, well it seems 😉 like you're happy so enjoy 😉 😊 😀
Hey girl it gets on my damn nerves how everybody complains about section 8 you have the government paying for your bills guess what I'm on section 8 too I have lived in reshef apartments I have lived in the ghetto right now I live in the worst part of town I could live in and that's how it's always been I'm so tired of everybody crying you know you got some money to spare try and make it look all sad and s***
Omhoodness...You're going to have hell when you get ready to move...You own a lot of possessions...You have a living room set in your small bedroom 😑😑😑 Yes Yes...Your apartment made my OCD kick right on in 😮😮😮
im in a much better apt program that pays higher rent then section 8 i love it i live in a new apt in a new building the truly normal arabs in usa rented me my government pays for my program is for the disabled i have new stove new fridge central ac central heat no bugs no tics no asbestos no rats no bats my apt program pays for my security money evertime i move the way working poor are treated in usa i thank god im disabled
She’s a woman who works & the living cost today is ridiculous. I have a problem with entitled, non working baby mamas who live off tax payer dollars just laying down & having more babies for the world to help them with, it’s not right. One mistake is fine, after that a young woman needs to take care of her family with her money
What a nice apartment. You have made it very cozy. Thank you for the tour.
