    Nice plane - Good old Sig. Hope they make a return. I just restored my first plane, a Kadet Mk II. It's 40 years old and she needed some TLC.

    I’m in the middle of a four star 40 build with a saito 56. Love the sound! I actually like the yellow single color monokote. Not fancy but seems to fit the style of the plane.

    Its a very floatie low wing plane w no bad habits. The fuselage amplifies the grunt engine sound of the Saito.
    I have the sixty purple and silver and man is it sexy in the sky w a FA100 swinging a Master Airscrew 14x8. I call it a Cadillac in the sky.

    Very well done. I'm building my second .40 size Four Star. Its a nice easy flying aircraft.

    Looks like we the same taste in airplanes. I have or have had all the planes seen in this video. I consider them traditional RC airplanes. No matter how big the budget gets or how high the performance these are the planes I gravitate too and seem to enjoy most.
    Thanks for posting!

    This is a really nice video of the Four Star 40. The way in which flying should appeal to every model pilot. It all seems so super relaxed and I literally feel the love for the combination. These are the videos that really make me feel the pinch. My only question is which Saito you used on the plane and would you like to tell me this. Thanks for the very nice post here on TH-cam.

      The plane is still in my active fleet. Planning on flying it often this year. That Saito .56 is a wonderful engine, reliable and delivers plenty of power. And that sound.....

    Great video! I absolutely love Sig! Have you ever looked at the Kobra Lineup of planes that they sell? me and my dad have had 2 King Kobra that sadly crashed almost the same way each time :( we just ordered our 3rd one. I love the King Kobra and I’d love to see a build series or flight review from you!

    Just a few electronic bits and a couple of linkage tweaks from getting my 4*64 in the air! OS FS70 inverted on the nose of that one. Planning on putting retracts on it in the future too, like I've done with my 4*20 kit.

    Great video. Really enjoyed watching this. Thankyou. I do have a brand new OS 52 fourstroke and was wondering if it was enough power for this plane?

      I always thought my extra 300 was unbeatable. I was kicking around building a 4 star 40 just because they are stupid simple. It seems as though these build a plane kits are going to the wayside and its sad Great Planes is closed up. I hope SIG stays in business i built an astro hog that flew great about 18 years ago. We take it for granted that these places will always be around like Twinkies lol

      @JF R that aerosport 60 reminds me of my hanger 9 ultra stick. I have it set up for crow with flaps and its a blast. Thanks for the reply im in my basement now putting covering on a carl goldberg kit thats like my old 300

    MrBreeze that was a nice flight i my self have 3 of the four stars 1 40 and 2 120s and i have alot of fun with them but I'll point out one thing you did worng and its for your safety and others who read this comment when you start a plane never stand by the prop just in cases it comes off last thing you want is it hitting you and at the end i dont know if you knew that thats why im saying something and to the best for you

    • @zubuxstein
      @zubuxstein 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      WTF you talkin about? Troll!
      The guy turned on the engine on its left side, and immediately moved away to grab the radio.
      Its a small engine, so no worries as they rarely spit a prop. If it was a Saito 150 or 180, then its different because those can be lethal. I had a buddy almost lost a hand, a 180 shootout about 30 feet out!
