When you called the Charon twist almost at the beginning, I was really impressed. In my playthrough, I was completely oblivious until that moment when Equitia spelled it out. My mind was BLOWN lmao
I'm not sure when I realized we were all dead, I think it was a gradual realization. But I remember when I got the Karen/Charon thing, that was when Equitia asked if I'd met a stranger by the river and I went, "Oh! Charon!" I though the Karen/Charon wordplay was so brilliant.
I figured it out at the beginning, but I quite like Greek/Roman mythology, so as soon as I woke up along the river bank and she mentioned loose change in my pocket I was suspicious! Her saying her name confirmed it for me, but it was still a ton of fun finding out for sure. And obviously there are still mysteries to figure out!
Yeah I was crazy impressed by how you figured out Karen/Charon immediately! I forgot about her completely and didn’t piece it together until this questline with Equitia. It also took me about 3 hours to realize the statues were looking at me 😅
I only figured out the Karen moment right here in the bath house with Equitia. That was the Holy S**** moment of this game for me. I really liked the reveal.
I knew nothing of charon or much of anything about roman/greek myths so the full reveal was purely through Equitia for me. Love how much fun you're having with the game
As soon as you made the Charon connection right away, I was SO excited to see the rest of your playthrough since you know at least a bit about mythology!! This game is such a treat for people who love learning about mythology haha
I found your channel and started following with your BOTW series. Loved it as I, too, was just playing it for the first time. I’ll never play this particular game, but I’m totally enjoying being immersed in the “Ryan” play through. Your narration and commentary makes all the difference!
After playing the game, the Charon twist is something I had been thinking about in the back of my mind when going through all the dialogue but I was still under the impression we were in an actual Roman city until this conversation, other things I had predicted and had no idea were coming
I played the Skyrim mod version of this game years ago, and that was fantastic as well. I'm glad to see how impressive this game has been so far! Thanks for the uploads.
Big mythology nerd, particularly involving how different faiths and beliefs view the afterlife and/or underworld. So a game waking you up next to a river with no memories and with only a single coin to “pay the ferryman” was already mega suspicious. The Karen name drop cemented it. But even so, the speed with which you clocked the answer was faster than so many I’ve watched. Disguising the actual reason she didnt share her name behind the current day Karen memes is an all-star distraction.
I wasnt sure but when the townsfolk mentioned having a single silver coin in their pockets, I had a feeling they may be dead or in a type of purgatory.
I didn't figure it out until Equitia told me in the bath house. 😂 I'm not too familiar with Roman / Greek mythology, so I was pretty oblivious. It was a great plot twist to discover though. I was impressed that you figured it out so quickly.
Every ep is gonna be a game changer cos this game is so gooood! I suspected we were in the underworld from the start bcos proserpina/persephone, but when I saw Sisyphus I was convinced. However I still didnt make the Karen/Charon connection until Equitia spelled it out for me 🤦🏼♀️
@@Tattletale-Delta nevertheless, qsave and qload still use the same buttons, despite the game giving you no indication that such a function exists. Why do you think that is? It isn't in the controls menu. All I can think of is it's some kind of holdover from Skyrim.
@@zalaweyker8007 I recall a popup hint or something from earlier in the series, telling us about quicksave and quickload. But still, weird that we couldn't find it in the controls menu.
@zalaweyker8007 F5 for quicksave is just the default for almost every game that has quicksaves. Works for Baldurs Gate 3 too for example. Quickload is sometimes F8 sometimes F9 in my experience.

I enjoyed that you figured out Charon very, very quickly. Good job!
I figured it out! Ryan is playing a game with a lot of mentioning of "elections" for algorithm purposes!! :ooo

Really enjoying this game's story progression! It's always so fun to watch someone figure things out. 😊
This was the first time I've heard of Charon or the mythos so the revelation was until this very quest, one of the highlights of my playthrough!
Just a small thank you for fixing the playlist order 🥰

I figured it out after 2 minutes of playing. Love Greek Mythology so it became obvious...
Yooo lil indi! I'm so enjoying this series
Parkour might not be your strong suit
This uses the same engine? As Skyrim so qsave is f5 qload is f9
The original version of this game was a Skyrim mod and thus used the same engine. No, this is totally separate and was built on Unreal Engine 4.
