      Everything looks better than a fake carbon fiber, for people pretending that they have newer car than they really have.

    Awesome video!! You and I are probably the only two people who like the wood trim! Lol. Nicely done, definitely need to do my steering wheel too! How about doing one on the cup holders? They usually don’t extend fully anymore.

      Haha I'd recommend just replacing them with new, I've experienced that issue before, quite ANNOYING!

    Acetone free nail polish remover works great too

    Citrus paint stripper works great. 30 minute soak and the old crappy paint scrapes off with a wooden paint stirrer... I used Duplicolor BMW 258 black paint and their Adhesion promoter.

      Oven cleaner works best for me. The spray kind, let it soak 5 mins and get a scotch brite to scrub everything easy.

    I used neutrogena makeup wipes to clean off my e53’s plastic trim, about cracked wood idk but those wipes work wonders

      @@TheBimmerBarn Thank you Chris. I actually have a question. My oil filter gasket blew and I replaced both gaskets on my 335i. As you know, I have that milkshake in my cooling system now. The fan is already removed and I also unplugged the various cooling hose. How can I clean the cooling system without replugging everything and bleeding the system 7 times? Is there a way to flush/clean the cooling system while it's open? Thank you,

    • @TheBimmerBarn
      @TheBimmerBarn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@samyb2834 You could force some water through the outlet at the oil filter stand, and have a hose unplugged at your water pump to flush that. Flush the radiator too, that one's easy! You can try to get it best as possible, but you may still need to drain and fill it a few times to get all of it! Best of luck Samy

    How did it hold up ? Would assume it would get still heavily scratched from being touched and or cleanning

    • @TheBimmerBarn
      @TheBimmerBarn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's held up really good actually, especially considering the steering wheel is a high traffic area. Also used this for restoring many other trim pieces and the results are consistently good. Thanks for watching!

    Hi bro ! I can use any matte paint for the steering wheel?

    • @TheBimmerBarn
      @TheBimmerBarn  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'd recommend something meant for plastic, and that has a strong surface when dried. I like the stuff I used in this video because it doesn't peel off, or scratch easily. Good luck!
