- In this video we take an in depth look at the Tesla Style Radio from Aliexpress. This radio is designed for the 3rd generation Acura TL ranging from years 2004 to 2008 and it will work in vehicles with and without navigation. This video is part 1 of a 3 part video.
This part of the video takes a look at the interface of the radio and the specs along with some of the bugs found in the climate control.

I jus installed mine and had no issues beside the trim snapping in place I highly recommend this radio 👌
same the top right side of the trim on mines is a little off but im trying to find something to snap it on fully

Ok so I figured out u can snap the silver trim to the radio first then jus kinda pop radio in but u do hav to break off one clip on the silver trim kinda hard to explain

My 06 TL has become my winter beater, if it wasn't, I would seriously consider this. Nice install.
It might be the guy that installed it that’s the genius, but no issues with the air nor display of climate. Btw mine came with A10
My son just bought a 2006 Acura TL and he’s looking to upgrade the radio.
How much difficulty did you have installing this and if you had it installed by a secondary market how much did they charge you.
Did you have any issues getting the trim work back in? I’ve seen pictures of some peoples work and the trim does not look like it went back in great.

18:45 - In the Developer Settings on your Android phone, try setting your Bluetooth AVRCP Version down to 1.3 as a test.
In another vehicle, I had all sorts of oddities with display on this and by invoking an older version it seems to work well now in every car I use my phone in! I don't really care about the features that 1.4-1.6 bring so it's non-impactful to me.

Would you be able to tell how to adjust the volume of navigation ? So I have the mirror link from my phone to the stereo. Pandora plays great but navigations voice/directions is pretty low when driving, I adjusted the settings to loud on my iPhone but won’t do anything on the stereo
Hiw about running one of those usb powered dacs to the amp? Possible to help beat the distortion.
I have a 2006 Acura Rl and there is an android radio available for it on ali express I was wondering if you could do a review on that radio especially because they say that the stock screen still works so I would love to see how it works

What 8" subwoofer can I replace the Factory subwoofer
my car's heating unit dosent get as hot as it used to. as far as the a/c it still blows cold. Also the speed widget next to the navigation still shows kmh instead of mph. hopefully it can be changed on an update. I also have a full speaker setup (2 12inch kickers + focals 6x9 n 61/2) so i can use the factory 12 band equalizer instead of anotger aftermarket. i do tend to hear this little buzzing noise from the radio on mute but its ok. The cool thing is that i have a ferarri as my home vehicle lol overall this product is great

Have you tried to connect it to an OBD2 sensor yet. I can't get a Bluetooth connect to work. I got the wifi connect to work but I don't like using it because I am currently using my phone as a hotspot so I need that connect for internet access.
I cant change the time on my clock display because of some acura problem where the navi is stuck on 00:00, would this radio be fix? Will i be able to change the time on my display clock through this navi?

Just installed this on my 2006 TL. It reboots every time I start the car. Are there settings to change this? Or do some of these not have internal batteries?

I installed this on my 05 tl and it works great, however recently the AC turned on by itself, set on defroster and now wont turn off. Its been like that for 2 weeks. I've tried reseting it and no luck. Any idea how I can get it to shut off?
hey sorry we don't sell, service, or support this radio. It tends to have weird issues and we can't help resolve them.
Do you have anything like this with wireless android auto?
We don't sell this radio. Kenwood and alpine do make units with wireless android auto but they are traditional double dins. There might be a dongle/adapter for this radio to enable wireless android auto. You can reach out to the seller on AliExpress and find out we will also send them a message and see.
Hey Mobile Max. Since your reviewing this Tesla Screen. Do you know how to change the Screens bottom key buttons from Blue to Red for a Type-S? I know it says non adjustable on the Navitech description. Just wanna know if possible?
It is possible you need to go into the settings its behind the password protected page. Then you have to dig for it but I have seen people do it

@@aztecwarrior9192 just transfer the LED bulbs from the Type-S. I want to not bypass the ELS amplifier so I can keep all speakers running.

I have a 2008 acura tl base where do I put the GPS in the car so I have navigation?
If you want to convert your non nav to nav, you will need a couple of components. The subdisplay, the dvd rom, the acuralink module and then that harnesses to tie everything together.
Last ditch effort here, I am contemplating buying an aftermarket radio to replace mine because my radio code won't work resetting. I've tried everything from unplugging fuses, disconnecting the battery, and disconnecting the antenna from the back of the radio. I don't get a CODE message to show up, but when I plug in my code, I get 3 short beeps. Any help would be appreciated, but it's looking like a new radio is in my near future...
So we have heard of this happening but have not been able to confirm it the radio has a limit on the number of times the code can be inputted, also after that number is reached/passed it will not take a code anymore. You might have not inputted the code that many times but the radio for some reason thinks you have. I haven't found a fix just replace the radio or the dealer might have specific software they can run. Hopefully someone in the comments knows more
How is this working for you do you still have it installed? I was thinking of getting it just wanted to know how is your experience with the product?
Hey we don't have this radio anymore. We sold it a while back. It's a great show piece and cool technology but just so many little issues (the hiss, the pops, random reboots) just wasn't for us.

connect it to wifi from your phones mobile hotspot or home wifi
You can also download the update to a USB drive. That's what I did.
When you want to update it you have to get the new update on a usb drive and connect it to the usb so it can update the new version on the tablet and also AliExpress is very helpful when you message they respond fast and thoroughly

we do not sell this radio. We recommend you buy it from one of the original sellers like navitech.
How does Netflix and TH-cam content look on it?
it won't go hd but 720p was fine and enjoyable.

El arnés es un cable que viene com el carro originalmente y la pantalla pequeña viene de un TL con navegación.
I have an aftermarket sub and amp combo do I need a low in and out converter to make them work with this setup or is there a way to use the amps rca’s and link with the screen rca?
you can use the tables rcas out to your amps, you're just gonna need splitters.

@@matthallstrom5585 they are just regular rca y splitters. The table feeds its self an rca signal left and right, you need to split that with some rca y splitters and hook up your amp RCAs there.

factory reverse camera will not work you will have to replace it.

Great question, you can add a backup camera but the factory backup camera will not work with this radio

@@MobileMaxCarAudio It doesnt have to be the most expensive, but as you mentioned in one of your videos, nowadays you can get radios/amps that are better for less or the same price as stock

I subscribed to your channel & watched the unboxing so I know how much it cost now. My HFL transmitter is bad & the part is discontinued for 2006 models. I really can’t afford this radio. I would like Apple Drive but I don’t know if I need a working transmitter. I have The loaded manual transmission package with navigation & the Navigation basically never works. I want to be able to use my screen or replace it. Hopefully you have a suggestion that will be cheaper. Whatever I chose I’m going to have to pay someone else to install. That’s why the radio is a little to much for me.
