Probably my favorite song by Journey. Here for the summer of 2024!
Thank you for watching!
What made this song so special was the chemistry between Rolle and Perry’s vocals not just Perry’s !
Thank you for watching!
I agree!
The 2 best songs Journey ever did. Man this brings back awesome memories.
Thank you for watching!
This was my favorite lineup. I liked the back and forth between Perry’s voice and the more manly, deeper voice of Rolle. This was just great!!!
Thank you for watching!
God, memories. Loved watching midnight special. Biggest names in rock history performed on it. Real talent!!
Thank you for watching!
Still my fav Journey song of all time. Back in the early 80's, my next door neighbor used to play with Neil Schon's father at a bar in Jack London Square. I'd sit there for hours listening to them playing and just hang out.
Thank you for watching!
Best journey song ever!

Gregg, also a real treasure.....
Thank you for watching!
Love the young Neal schon’s fat bluesy rifts ringing out of the Les Paul in these two songs, especially anytime. Excellent musicians.
Their best songs
Best Gregg Rolie Era song

Journey magic 💝
I grew up in Denver too. I can still remember the way they said “rocks the Rockies”
Hey, this new guy we hired (Steve) is pretty good.
I think we're going to be ok
Thank you for watching!
I have always liked Journey, but liked the Greg Rolie Years as it was more punchy and had a little harder edge. I just found out that Johnathan Cain was with the Baby's before he was with Journey. Crazy world.
Thank you for watching!
Double play!!!!!
Thank you for watching!
Great song have show on DVD! May I suggest there 1978 show from Midnight Special song Feeling that way-Anytime! It's a must to play songs together it's the way radio has played for years!

I was an instant Fan of Journey from the moment I heard OF A LIFETIME from the first Journey album. Not because I was a stoner, which I wasn’t but I was an aspiring musician and singer and they definitely inspired!!
Really showed what great musicians they all were, and to top it off both Rolle and Schon were in Santana’s band, and Rolle original Santana singer!
So these guys were pros for sure! Even covering a Beatles song in one of their early albums. Rolle’s voice is so darn melodic, reminiscent of Beatles influence !!
I loved that period, but I understand you guys weren’t making the kind of money you should have at the time until Journey became much more commercial. W Perry, but at same token became the deathnell if the progressive music period. Very disappointing to not hear much of the prog style since Perry. Did they ever play music from albums without Perry live w Perry? My guess is NO.
Anyways once Rolle left I stopped buying any of their albums. Though I have all up to including Infinity on CD.

Greg Rolle doesn’t get enough credit! Santana hand picked him for Christs Sake
Thank you for watching!
I was so into this album. Perry sang all that the songs needed, but after this album Perry began to add a little more of his own flair, over the top, which got away from the actual songs imo. Which turned me off, too much Perry he was no longer a PART of the band , my impression was that he thought HE WAS THE BAND, and he could just do whatever he wanted anywhere he wanted like a Vegas singer. TURN OFF, and I no longer could stomach the sound of this group !!
Too much over saturation of PERRY.
Again not to take away from his singing but I couldn’t handle hearing him all the time, of course that’s when Rolle left then Perry’s singing everywhere turned into Perry’s Journey. I’d bet Schon was partly responsible.
I agree perry made a mistake firing steve Smith, Ross Valery and herbie herbert.
Too bad Steve perry got rid of the origonal drummer for sounding too white, he also ran off Greg Rollie, and got rid of the manager that hired him on. WHAT A BACK STABBER !
Are you drunk???
@DgeminisM nope, I just know the facts. Watch 'BREAKING THE BAND' DOCUMENTARY on journey. 🎓
@@michaelstolitza8492 you are lying, Rolie left because he wanted, Schon always has been the leader, dont be a liar.
@@DgeminisM you'll have to take that up with the 'DOCUMENTARY '. it's THEY who said it, don't be a little soyboy.
@@michaelstolitza8492 Greg Rolie left because he wanted, cheers.
I feel Rolle was kinda squeezed out after Perry became a pop sensation , Perry…a bit over rated imo
At the beginning, but then, in the same way than Journey, Rolie found for his band a copy of Perry. Perry was an awesome singer.
Legendary.
