Wish you'd remove this version of a Bee Gees song from your channel. Not sure if you're aware but when Robin altered & recorded this song, that was the final straw for Barry, as it was done behind their back. It just happened to be released 2 wks after Mo passed, so was easier for Barry to say the Bee Gees had ended.
Thank you for watching. I am aware of the turmoil this caused and I understand Barry's feelings, as this was a very special song for Andy but I choose to leave this video up. For me and possibly many others, the BeeGees ended with the sad death of our beloved Maurice.
@@smhlittlebitofeverything9967 Well yes, that's when the Bee Gees ended per se. But when Barry found out this was included on Robin's Magnet LP, that was the deciding factor to officially end the group & also why he would never work with Robin again. Barry referred to this song as "a sacred object". Mo said they could hardly get through singing it while recording it. They tried singing it at their first few concerts in '89 as their dedication to Andy, but weren't able to get through it. That's when Mo said it had to "rest with Andy", & they began singing How Deep is Your Love instead. Barry's also talked about how "devastated he was by what Robin had done" in the NYT '03 article. Out of respect for Barry & Andy, I'm asking you once again to please remove it. Robin disrespected it by desecrating it, & you allowing it to remain on your channel by promoting it is no different. Thank you😥
@kthor This is a small part of what Barry said in Robin's eulogy. "Even right up to the end we found conflict with each other, which now means nothing. It just means nothing". I believe that Barry had made peace with their differences no matter what they were. I respect your opinion and criticism of this video, but you are free to listen to it or not. I am well aware of the 2003 article but I feel the 2012 statement clarifies Barry's feelings towards Robin. I encourage you to read his full eulogy if you haven't. As always, I welcome people's comments, so anyone else that feels it should be taken down or left up, feel free to comment. Thank you.

To begin with, why would you ever consider putting this on your channel, if you knew the story behind it?!! Do you not understand the pain Barry felt after losing Andy at Robin's?! Do you not understand how Robin betrayed Andy when he was there?! Or do you not understand how be betrayed all 3 brothers, when he desecrated Andy's song 14 years after it was written?! Just like Robin, who was trying to make a buck off of Andy's memorial song (when there was hundreds of other choices for both of you), you're trying to profit off of it as well, but for mere pennies.🙄🙄🙄I'll check back at a later date, until then, please remove it from your channel.

Still my fav Journey song of all time. Back in the early 80's, my next door neighbor used to play with Neil Schon's father at a bar in Jack London Square. I'd sit there for hours listening to them playing and just hang out.
