      @@dimebag0474 the amp output is only a Mono signal, so it will only go out left if you are using a TRRS (stereo) cable. You'd have to use a single TRS to mono splitter to send the mono signal to both speakers. It wont be a true stereo image still, but you'll get sound out of both

LITTERALLY the only clue i had was by watching this video and hearing at 4:45 you playing and the sound arriving a little bit later. this makes me understand that this device is NOT for live use. • @DarkRoastRecording
      @DarkRoastRecording  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      On an Android device, live use would be very tricky. Its a fact that Android devices have bigger latency and there's only so much you can do about it.
      Honestly for live use, you would be much better off using an iPhone, anything from an iPhone X and newer would be light years better for latency than any Android phone.
      I know, the truth hurts, but it is the truth of the matter.

    Does IRig 2 have a latency issue on Android while using headphones for monitoring?

    • @DarkRoastRecording
      @DarkRoastRecording  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching! The latency comes from the processed signal, so if you set the irig to “thru” , you will be hearing no latency, but it is very hard to record anything that way with a metronome because you will be ahead of the beat. Android has latency more than iOS devices, but side android phones have way better latency than others, and so it’s not too big a deal depending on your device. Plus, it you use A USB interface with Deplike, it can get rid of any latency.

    I tried using iRig2 with my Android phone and as soon as I plug my guitar in I get nothing but a screaching feedback that goes on until I close the app. I am using headphones to monitor so it shouldn't be feedback from them. Also, as another comment stated my phone and many other Android devices have too much latency to be useful as any kind of serious practice or recording device while using the Deplike app. Also, Only the basic configuration of noise gate, basic amp, delay pedal (which exasperates the screechy feedback unless the mix on the pedal is turned all the way down and renders the pedal useless) Orange sim can and looper are free. You have to pay for any other configuration. Overall so far I'm not a fan of deplike. Are there any workable Android alternatives out there?

    • @WhiteRaven___
      @WhiteRaven___ 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      true, very true. I've been using a different mic a while after this video was uploaded. It's a work in progress. I'm learning the ropes of streaming and TH-cam as I go, however recording guitars is what it's all about. If it were about how to record proper voice overs and TH-cam vids, look out. lol. Thanks for watching regardless. :)

      The Irig 2 vendor only developped an iOS app with AmpliTube so they pretend it's only compatible with iOS because they want to sell their app. Other apps showed in this video are 3rd parties apps and they work well with Android. Be careful though, the new Irig HD 2 with USB connexion is not compatible with Android at this point. It's a shame it's impossible to use Irig 2 or Irig HD with new smartphone without audio jack like Galaxy S21.
