can someone explain JKA to me please? i see that they punch to the face even when they don't wear gloves. also is see that they're mostly japanense fighters.
JKA rules make shotokan karate a virtual simulation of actual fights using punching and kicking. No gloves and protective gears and the karatekas can punch at the face and body and can kick at the face ,body and legs. The safety rules is no strike on the eyes, neck, nape and groin strike. This preserve the life and health of the player.JKA kumite is real fight w/ players short of maiming each other.

It is called Shobu Sanbon. The first competitor who gets two ippons, is victorious.

No, that is because alwas in the final of the tournament is shobu ippon, that means 3 ippons.
