Last month I decided to trade in 3 PS4 games at my EBGames/Gamestop up here in canada .. they were doing a special promotion for get x2 trade credit when you trade towards Nintendo Switch Hadware/Software .. ended up getting over $152 from the 3 games.. Note: 2 of the games I traded in came for free with the PS4 Slim I got back at the beginning of december. (They had a promo on for pay $99 with PS4 trade and get a PS4 Slim + 2 games & grips) .. so i literally got that $100 back and that was put towards my switch pre-order.. also the 3rd game was on sale for $29 back at the end of december and i ended up getting $50 for it when i traded it... Since the switch after tax is $450 CAD up here, it worked out great :D .. $100 not only went and got me a PS4 update to the slim but also towards the switch and the $29 turned into $50 with the trade for the other game :D .. it was a win
Yeah, I sold my 3ds and dsi xl (with games) to GameStop so I could have some money for switch games and accessories. I got around $285. It was definitely worth it since I would probably play those games like once every two months. Also the hinge on my 3ds was breaking. But still after all that, I regret it a little bit because of a few games I could not play again, like Animal Crossing. But hey, at least it’s coming out for switch.

I traded in my New 3DS XL, about and 12 games for $350, plus $75 for the trade towards switch, i also traded my WiiU and about 15 games for $450 I got $875 for all that, the games were all high value (Nintendo exclusive so I got about $25+ per game) i have a switch now (of course) with Breath of the Wild, Odyssey, Arms, Splatoon 2, Super Mario Party, Smash Ultimate pre ordered, I bought a couple amiibo off and on, and a few other games for my PS4, and I still have $100 trade value. I really think what I got was a deal, I love my switch and all the games I have for it and the future ones releasing, and besides a few games on WiiU I never played it anymore. Same with my 3DS, I got tired of Pokémon and Animal Crossing after 400-500 hours in both combined. No regrets. I like GameStop and they’re trade values, I’ve never had a problem with them. Sure I could’ve gotten more from another “Game store” but I always have issues with their technicalities, “only use trade value for used games” “cannot purchase new console with trade credit” all that, and it becomes a head ache and not worth it. At least at GameStop there’s less of those restrictions with your credit.

Unless you're getting 60% back on everything.....except Sonic Boom and older multiplats, which not a damn store will ever give you, it is not worth trading away. Not for a Switch which currently lacks enough relevant software and certainly not for a PS4 or Xbone. There's no other way to play Wii U games and I intend to keep mine. I've yet to regret my purchase. On the flip side, I personally know dozens of gamers who regret never buying Wii U....that means little to me though, and to them as well, since regret didn't make them stop whining and buy one.

Downloaded games won't make a difference since they have to do a factory reset on the Wii U when you trade it in. You'll get a decent amount for trading in the Wii U and the games, but it won't be enough to pay off the Switch.
lol here in riverside I have Slim PS3 w/30 games, and new 3ds xl w/8 games. I'm excited for the Nintendo switch even though I prefer Sony. I cant decide whether or not to trade in my stuff for credit towards the switch since they will be releasing more units on 3/22. a most unforgivable sin i would never trade in my consoles or my games they mean too much for me. you never know you might always go back to a previous generation to play a classic.
