  • Garden Gals and Guys, this video is about 4 months overdue, but sometimes life happens and with this trying twin pregnancy, I never even opened my bulbs and corms in the fall let along plant them. Most of them have been sitting in the garage in the cold, so I'm hoping I have SOME that are useable, but I'm not sure what to expect. Come along and see as I open my HUGE orders what has survived and what has not. Also, spoiler alert, thankfully I had some healthy bulbs to plant and FINALLY got one cut flower bed worth of tulips planted at the very end of this video. That's progress my friends. One day at a time.
    The flower farms I ordered from (these were NOT sent to me - I selected and paid for all of them):
    Farmhouse Flower Farm: thefarmhousefl...
    Fleur Farm: fleurfarm.com/
    The Flower Hat: theflowerhat.c...
    I prefer to order from flower farmers because I think they have especially unique varieties, high quality bulbs and corms, and love to support a flower farm's small business.
    Please comment below and let me know your favorite tulips, ranunculus, and anemones to grow! If you enjoyed this video, please like and subscribe to follow along with all things garden.
    Next up, seed giveaway and much more...stay tuned!
    Thanks for watching! Happy Planting!

    I love your never give up attitude! When I get a delivery, I always open the box to verify that everything is there because I have had issues. I also ordered from Flower Hat and Fleur Farm as you did. Last fall, I planted 2,826 tulips in my landscape. I extended a shady bed by placing a tarp, lifting out the sod and placed about 500 bulbs of mostly peony tulips for example. Since I'm in the country, there's plenty of room. I hope that your tulips bloom. Hopefully they had enough chill hours in the garage to bloom. The ones that were in the warm house will be interesting to observe. I added another rack and lights to my basement which makes growing the anemones and ranunculus process so much easier this year. I presprout into trays in the basement and can put them under lights as they sprout. The basement is cool so it is a great space. My other grow lights are on the second floor. I wish you success with your gardening but remember taking care of yourself is your number one priority!

      Yes, indeed, taking care of these girls is the number one priority and I have to remind myself of that often when I feel like nothing is getting done! Thanks for your support, Sue! Omg, you're living the dream in the country...it's difficult moving from the country to the "city". I'm adapting, but it's not the same! Grateful for what I have though. Hoping the tulips bloom. I so enjoyed them last year. HOWEVER, GREAT NEWS...walked past my ranunculus and anemone beds and there is SO much green that wintered over from last year. I was so pleasantly surprised. So if I screw up this pre-sprouting this year, I think I've got some from last year coming in. Probably going to put a frost cloth over when we dip down the next few nights, but I'm SO encouraged by that. Cheers, Sue!

      ME TOO! Hoping the ranuncs take off, but feeling REALLY optomistic after looking in my ranunculus and anemone beds today...SO much green! They wintered over! I'm shocked and amazed.

    Love the anemones..never grown them, but so pretty. Also, still waiting g for my Geoseeds order. Once I get, I will still have lisianthus to do. So hoping it's not too late.
    Thanks for your video!! Always enjoy!!

      Hi Cherie! The peanuts are a-growin' in there! :) I'm going to have to put in a Geoseeds order because my first round of Lisianthus did NOT turn out...you'll see shortly. They'll take off when we get them planted asap. All good, all good!

    My heart always breaks a little when the bulbs begin to mold but thankfully you still have a decent amount of good ones 🤗. My ranunculus this year look like they will be promising ! This is my first year with anemones and I’m currently waiting for them to be mailed to my area. A little nervous that I didn’t get to plant them earlier because here in zone 8b we warm up quickly so I’m hoping they will do well before the warm weather comes. Can’t wait to see your flowers in bloom.

      Get those babies in the dirt as soon as you get them, but that's so exciting your getting some anemones! Crossing my fingers for you! The blooms are so blissful and delightful!

    Do you dig up and keep your tulips or start over each yr?

    • @TinysGarden
      @TinysGarden  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I start over each year because when I harvest, I harvest with the bulb!

    • @TinysGarden
      @TinysGarden  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Now, for my landscape tulips, some come back from previous years, but not all, so I still put a bunch in every year.
