DHEA is also very supportive to a woman over age 40+. Helps with supporting the adrenals, which is the backup for your ovaries. Helps with a little testerone production which every woman needs. And in small amounts, estrogen production. Very beneficial supplement to women. Only take a sublingual tablet, from 5 to 15 mg every morning, early morning. Capsules form aren't bioavailable in DHEA.

I've been using the multisymptom Estroven for a couple years with good results, but in Dec 2022, I started having many hot flashes a day. The night sweats were numerous too and really disruptive to my sleep. I bought the "mood boost" box from Estroven that is supposed to help with hot flashes. Within about 3 days of taking it, I got a horrible itchy rash all over and had to stop it. My skin just crawled. The rash lasted for about a week before it cleared up, so just be careful of reactions to black cohosh, magnolia bark, or ginkgo.

get lots of B vitamins in you and eat cholesterol! Don't be afraid of butter, eggs, seafood, or steak! Get high quality essential fatty acids in your system! And red meat in particular. I was vegan for years and knew other women who had the same experiences as me that when we changed to meat we bounced back from chronic sick to vitality. Anxiety = hormones off, low blood sugar, lack of B vitamins & essential fatty acids 💖 oh and try avoid processed stuff, especially sugar and high fructose!

There is " good" and "bad" estrogen. Please discuss the differences. That's why DIM is so good, and comes into play here. It counteracts the bad estrogen production in the body. Yay !!! 😁

    • @heatherhirschMD
      @heatherhirschMD  4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

The way I see this, is that the body needs progesterone to balance estrogen. For women who have lower progesterone levels, supplementing with progesterone is very important. This is often the scenario in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)

@@natoyabattisteblack cohosh would be in order for helping that. Topical version or in capsule form. D-I -M is derived from the brazica family which is derived from broccoli 🥦 and cauliflower. It can counter act like bad estrogen produced in the body. A natural oriented wholistic functional medical doctor advised me of this years ago. And I believe to be true. Progesterone in topical, transdermal USP certified form is best. Can be taken throughout the life stages of a woman, probably starting at age 35. Pregnenolone in pill form can also prove beneficial, at lower doses of 10 to 30 mg in the early morning. DHEA5-10 -30 mg. Sublingual tablet taken at 5 - 6 am in the early morning can help with testerone slightly and progesterone producction. But please be tested first by a functional, holistic medical doctor for a baseline , by saliva or urine. Blood is not accurate. It will tell you some information though. These people are proficient in determining the stage and level's of your hormones. Best of health to you. Don't stop on your quest for health. DIM or IC3 , indol 3 carbinol, is great for a woman and reducing the bad unopposed estrogen in a woman. Progesterone cream is definitely needed by a woman. Helps with balancing a woman's hormones naturally. It is a woman's best friend, thru all stages of a woman's life. Thank the good Lord 🙏

@@SaraSteele-l7l ME TOO. I've been in this for over 4 years already, and this is what I found: soy milk actually helped a lot, quickly, and that surprised me. It started right away making the flashes milder. Blueberries can also do this. I mean like eating a whole bowl of just blueberries, which I can do here because in Alaska it's part of our yearly harvest. Vitamin C helps it from being too much. What makes it worse: caffeine, but especially chocolate. I eat alot of raw cacao and so this finding bummed me out but I'm not about to ever stop because the cacao is something I reach for while fighting my chronic depression. HAHA, living in a burning puddle of sticky sweat because I'd rather keep my cacao habit, thank you. Anyway, I just recently got my hands on some rhapontic rhubarb, which is the only basic ingredient of "Estroven", LOL so funny they take our traditional natural remedies and sell them in "drug" format, knowing most people do not bother reading labels or figuring how to do things for themselves! I haven't started the rhubarb yet bc I JUST GOT IT but will report when I do. They say it takes 3 months to really do the trick. I'm gonna combine it with some black cohosh, which I still have to capsule up. You cannot take black cohosh without putting it in capsules bc it's one of the (if not THE) worst to palate, it will get your gag reflex. But Dr. Berg confirmed for me how it works and it sounds like there's a reason that black cohosh has always been one surviving old wisdom rememdy from ancient times.

What about women that are not in menopause yet and they're in perimenopause and they want to stop these night sweats but they are a little overweight. I'm sure you may have heard of estrogen dominance. I used to take a progesterone cream when I was 43 and 44 and that seem to elongate my little lautal phase of my cycle
The progesterone cream that I bought may have also helped me to lose a little bit of weight but I was exercising I was doing keto I was doing intermittent fasting and because I was exercising so much and doing so much different types of exercises that I was literally losing four or five pounds a week in 2018 and the weight came off slower in 2019. I don't want to start taking estrogen based supplements or estrogen-like supplements and start packing on the pounds just to relieve my night sweats. If you have any information or hopefully your reading my comment I hope can you point me in the right direction

I tried Estroven and it got rid of my hot flashes & night sweats by 95%! I went through an entire summer in 80 degree weather and not one hot flash.
so basically, I go for 3 or 4 months symptom free, then I will get a hot flash but it’s very light, meaning a drink of ice water and it’s gone in seconds.
Before I started the Estroven it was living hell! Day & Night!
Estroven really gave me my life back and I will never stop using it. I actually went into menopause at age 55 and would have still had regular periods if I wouldn’t have gotten a partial hysterectomy due to heavy periods/fibroids
Anyhow, I just cannot do without Estroven complete

That’s good your doctor told you not to go on estrogen , I had a. Cancerous polyp removed stage 2 , I was on estrogen and testosterone for years prior , I felt that caused it , my gyno said no !, idk I do not trust any chemicals , it has to contribute , most doctors just want to make money they work with pharmacies , we need more holistic products , black cohosh worked for me a bit better but I stopped, because a couple products said to not take if had cancer 🙄 taking evening primrose now , not working that well for me . Idk it’s frustrating Good Luck !, 🙏🏾💜

Not even HRT is helping me. I have about 50 hot flashes with excessive sweating all day every day. Stopped the HRT and going to start to try herbal stuff again and try the ones I did not try before HRT. But my situation is so bad. Before the menopause my body over produced estrogen, so that might be why I'm have so many problems. Nothing is strong enough.

That was supposed to say when we crave fat get it from healthy places, like avocados and healthy oils like olive oil, and cook with avocado oil. If you keep having issues in your vag, use organic flax oil, you have to keep it in the fridge, I just put a little on my fingers warm it up and stick it in (gross, but whatever), it can stop you from having serious problems down there. My friend asked her gynecologist and she said that was a good idea, I heard about it from one of the doctors I mentioned above who is the specialist in menopause. You can also use that for intimate times. (Or use a waterbase lube, or silicone my doc says and she's very natural, she sells supplements in her office and is a DO who is a doc w an MD and doctor of osteopath, they tend to do things more naturally and oftentimes are covered by insurance

I recommend do your own research. We are all different and we are not on size fits all. That’s the problem with medicine. They want to treat everybody the same. It will take time to see what works for you but don’t be guided by just one person. Most of the things she mentions here made it worse for me and with time can have bad side effects. In the end you will make your own choice but please understand your own body first.

Delestrogen / estradiol Valerate 40mg per ml 5ml costs less than 100$ with a good Rx coupon, and may last for 6-18+ months, that's less than 10$ a month, it brings estrogen up well, fda approved, and can be injected with a small insulin needle. And it works well at stopping hot flashes, increases bone mineral density and strength. Just a thought ...
