  • A guide on building the Ducati Cafe Racer - Sport Classic.
    These motorcycles have a lot of character, but they weren't well received when the were first released. We've taken this Ducati Sport Classic, slimmed it down and totally re-styled it with some select high quality parts. To improve both the aesthetics and the handling significantly.

    I have a 2007 Ducati Gt1000
    I brought it brand new. It only has 1,345 miles. This video has inspired me to update it to make it more interesting to add some miles. Live in the USA, so finding someone to update the seat much like yours will be a challenge. Thank you for sharing. Michael

    Never thought Ducati are making retro-styled modern bikes since early 2000's. The today's Ducati scrambler 1100 might be the spiritual successor of this bike.

      Did you enjoy the GoPro footage? It’s a new thing we’ve added to our build videos

      Purpose Built Moto Yes, the go pro footage completes it in my opinion. You always see photos of these beautiful builds. Videos of the build process and an overview of everything that was done. But rarely do you get to see the machine in action.
      Again, awesome video and an excellent build.
      Inspiring me to finish my 1980 Honda CB650 build.
      Keep up the great work!

    Beautiful job. Respect to you for keeping the colour, too many people pretend matte black is a personal preference when it's the exact opposite, it's "me too" conformism.

    I would like to add your rear indicators to my Sport Classic. Do I need any resistors or relays to make it work?

    • @PurposeBuiltMoto
      @PurposeBuiltMoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No they should work by directly hooking them up!

    • @soglostang04
      @soglostang04 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Purpose Built Moto thank you! I’ve seen that some bikes seem to require a relay/resistor to go from standard bulb indicator to led style.

    Who wants to hear the sound of a Ducati motor when you can listen to dreary, lame elevator muzak instead?
    FFS, you call yourselves motorcycle enthusiasts???

  • @eskelmoser
    @eskelmoser 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How you built what? This is not a custom, not a "rebuild", just a stock gt with some rizoma, new saddle and a couple of painted things. Come on.

    • @PurposeBuiltMoto
      @PurposeBuiltMoto  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Eskel Moser I can assume something from your comment
      -you watched the clip with the sound off. Because I say a few times we didn’t rip this one apart, but rather trimmed it down and styled it up.
      You also missed a long list of other mods on top of the rizoma bars.
      -front fender + hand made stays
      - hand made mirror arms
      - tail tidy, + integrated brake light, which surprisingly, I did that too.
      -stripped and polished triple clamps
      -after market jonich wheel set.
      -there’s also the mountain of suspension work completed. I didn’t do that myself, but I can assure you a human did that too.
      I’m wondering how long this list has to be before I can say I “built” it 😅
