Love these bikes and the presentation. I've only just started taking an interest in the Ducati classics despite doing a lot of work for them in the early 2000s and living 25 mins from the factory here in Bologna. Just a little point, because i'm a pedantic git, the pronounciation of 'Biposto' is be...posto and not bye...posto, if that makes any sense.
Excellent stuff. ...bike talk and relationship therapy in the same video! You guy's know your Ducati's for sure. I know where there is a Paul Smart replica languishing in a garden shed in Scotland ....abandoned and unused but sadly not for sale! Steve
Vikki's has multiple seat options and used to take a passenger (her, when it was Dutch's bike). Lot's of Ducati owners run open timing belts. There is some minimal risk of taking on stones (or flares) but accidental damage is very rare. You also gain cooling and constant inspection - and it looks great.
@@ToxiicWarningyou can still find the cheaper version(the white one) for around 8k USD. Swap the tank and seat. You'd be in total around 9500 USD. I have a red one (like the guys white one) and did this.
Where did you get the exhaust supports on the duc sport classic 1000? I'd love to get those versus the stock supports with the pegs. thanks in advance.
white one definitely. im seriously thinking of a red faired sports classic..only 6000lm but its $33k aud.. ouch...all my riding is highway as i live in the bush. bad part is i have to trailer it 5km to reach bitumen. 😎🙏
Nice guys couldn't agree more. I've got one of the last SS made and a 1098S . Both are highly modified. The SS is just plain nice to ride in the real world. You can use all the performance and have a fantastic time. The 1098 is just plain nuts. You can't use all the performance . Nice bikes guys
IMO nothing sounds better than the DS1000 motors and Termi pipes because they’re so bassy and boomy... probably owing to their sheer size and shape, which is why Dutch’s pipes look better but lose the sound battle. I myself prefer knee indents on the tank vs the Guzzi V7 look to the Sport 1000 tank. Both beautiful bikes. Great vid.
Was sadly unaware of these bikes until I saw one in Tron legacy and was instantly like "whats that" I need one, shame they are now so rare/expensive... top of my wish list so maybe one day. Beautiful bikes guys, can tell you love them.
Bike Shed Motorcycle Club would you happen to know if star.ace still makes seats? I can’t seem to find them. I just got myself a 06 Sport 1000 and looking to start modifying it.
well done guys, I'd be a bit worried about the smoke from Vikki's bike? has it had the ECU changed to suit the Termi's? Also, any thoughts on the fuelling, reviews on some original bikes commented on the snatchy throttle response?, my GT1000 has a' Fat Duc Manipulator' fitted, which with a 14tooth front sprocket works great, I've also sealed my tank with Caswell epoxy sealer, expansion issue's gone. any thoughts comments on any of this?
I've seen Caswel flake off after less than 24 months, so my preferred route was to avoid fuel with ethanol. So far my GT and PS1000 have been ok, but Vikki's Biposto has suffered a bit. I was also worried about the smoke, but they bike has been standing a while with old fuel, and hasn't been trashed for a while.
Regarding the fuelling, both these bikes seem pretty good for early FI models - or certainly much better then early KTMs I owned, which were On/Off throttles. Vikki's does have a PowerCommander and mine has the termi map, but there's not much in it when you ride them back to back.
Love that classic look! Seems the headlamp on the black one is to high... or pointing upwards? Don’t know but looks a little off to me. Great and beautiful bikes both of them! Congrats!
It would be interesting to know both you guys heights. This way why could have some perspective when thinking in lowering our bikes. Great video, cheers from Portugal!
ha, nah we had just brought her out of winter storage to get ready for Cafe Racer Cup! Bit of cobweb blowing from the pipes and she's running cleaner now! A lot of that was actually dust from outside the arch. [Dan]
Your both like young kids i'm sure both bikes are awesome and we know not all equal to a rider. This was fun to watch thanks. Getting back to the Hoxton 1200 Hybrid will they ever take you up on that style?
Pair of great looking and good sounding bikes! To add to the sound debate, mine sounds even better still though - original mono with 2 into one termi ;)
Vicky I agree with you your bike does look quite a bit better, don't get me wrong I do like the black one also but it's just too much black for me, and Vicky's absolutely does sound better also LOL
I know , I'm very late to the party. But, which sounds better depends on the individual, so the competition was pointless. Also, since she was using a lot more throttle for the comparison, it makes taking their arguments and demonstration for their word pointless
A few comments. 1. Vikki's sounded way more badass (sorry Dutch). 2. You're both incredibly lucky to own these beauties and a paul smart from Ducati's history, seriously extremely jealous. 3. It still baffles me that Ducati hasn't reissued the sports classic range to go up against the thruxton r from Triumph, seriously I think them doing that would cause some amazing innovation and competition between the two brands. In my opinion Triumph has been absolutely crushing it with their new moderns while Ducati has just been milking the scrambler range, which I personally do not like the look of. Lastly, I'm located in LA, Dutch if you're ever in town I'd love to buy you a flat white and talk for a few minutes, cheers!
Funny thing is (and I hate to break it to you) but neither of you have the best Ducati Sport Classic....I do! ;-) GT1000 rebuilt by Ray Petty last year. Dutch knows....
lovely shape really refined body amazing style love the aggresiveness and bike not bad either haha sorry had to get that one in but to be fair they both amazing bikes in their own right
It has the worst standard fork for a Ducati that I've ever owned (MHR) or ridden, and I have ridden a few. With better springs it's a lot better, but still clearly has its limitations before anything else is being pushed on the bike. Still great fun though and love the style of the GT. The Öhlins suspension is by comparison ACE, but like all Öhlins suspension you need to set it up (the standard fork is crap no matter what you do - by comparison).
If you want Ducati's similar retro look plus 130HP = 2006-2009 Ducati S4RS. If you want even more HP you can fit the Ducati's 999 engine on it. I was looking for a Ducati Sport Classic until someone mentioned these. I own an amazing 2007 S4RS cafe racer that runs in circles, better engineered, and looks better.
I really love the way he speaks and I can listen to him all the day if he is talking about bikes...such a humble passionate guy in talk!!
Completely the opposite to the Dot Cotton next to him
Louder doesn’t really means better, the black Ducati is not as loud as the white one but sounds just perfectly right!
Ducati... the Sport 1000 has been dead for almost a decade now. Revive this beautiful machine under it's own name. Even if it's the same damn thing!
if they did revive it it better be the same design i love this bike
She is the dominant one in the relationship.
You think so? I think they have a pretty even type of relationship
You say that like it’s a bad thing?
She's got that big v energy.
He wears the trousers, she tells him which pair!

Ducati really need to re-sell these under the scrambler brand with the big 1100 motor in them, c'mon ducati!
Fun banter between the two. Dynamic and energetic. And I LOVE the bikes! Those are masterpieces!
Great video, it’s great to see so much passion for these bikes.
I love watching amazing projects like this. So much passion in each bike! Both are irreplaceable
At a first glance I liked both.
But why does Vikki's have passenger pegs?
And why does Dutch's have an exposed timing belt?
Vikki's has multiple seat options and used to take a passenger (her, when it was Dutch's bike). Lot's of Ducati owners run open timing belts. There is some minimal risk of taking on stones (or flares) but accidental damage is very rare. You also gain cooling and constant inspection - and it looks great.
is it a competition of which sounds better or which pollutes better😒
This is my dream bike! Sadly for me they've gone up in price over the years and there are few left.
PVTfluffy yea like 18 to 20gs. I've been looking since 2012. Tron is what pulled me in.
Can just about build a beautiful bike for that price

Hands off Ducati"s. They're already works of art and performance.
We need 100% more Vikki in these videos (and yes her bike was louder).
Damn straight we do! I do try... i'll push a little harder! [Dan]
The black was louder and the sound was much better. But she was louder that's for sure.
I have one of these and they sell transparent covers for the belts (you won't lose any of the looks and it would be safer.)
Where did you get the exhaust supports on the duc sport classic 1000? I'd love to get those versus the stock supports with the pegs. thanks in advance.
@11:05 should be shorter tank *
I LOVE these bikes. One day I will have one. Easily my favorite sportbike design and favorite of all the Ducaties for sure. Lucky lucky lucky
My GT1000 is for sale... Check the Bike Shed Classifieds for details.
Hey guys, from your experience, what’s your preference on tires? The phantoms are really good-looking but not that grippy..
Vikki, did your mother play the biker-chick, Steve Martins GF, in “The Jerk”? As a short guy Ducatisti sole mate, love the way you role.

I love that one bike hardened up the GT and the other softened the Sport Classic. Guess you've met in the middle.
Want one. From a bona fide Guzzi Big Twin fan. The only other Ducati i'd consider owning is the S2R Monster.

One bike I will never sell is my M1100, long live the desmodue engine !
What was the name of the company that makes the seat?
Diopa in Germany, or Star.Ace in Italy
Bike Shed Motorcycle Club would you happen to know if star.ace still makes seats? I can’t seem to find them. I just got myself a 06 Sport 1000 and looking to start modifying it.
You guys, and the shed. Are awesome. I'm gonna miss it moving to alicante/Murcia. ( Big Ash Predator Xdiavel S1000rr man)

Don't let one case of Caswell failure put you off, as you know, anything will come off if the surface isn't prepped properly, ie abraded to key it up.
How can I purchase gt 1000
This is the Tron legacy bike?
Almost, the actual Tron model is the Sport Classic 1000 LE
@@BikeShedMotoCo Ok, thanks :) love the channel!
This made me smile, not just because of the bikes but because of their relationship. :)
18:49 the correct way to make noise!!! (love it, love you!)
Put that belt cover back on, before you have a really bad a day.
Where can i find those Ducati decals that are on the GT1000??? I've been looking for those! Thanks! Both bikes are beauties
Being louder definitely doesn't mean it sounded better.
Who’s who? Bird on the left right?

ha, nah we had just brought her out of winter storage to get ready for Cafe Racer Cup! Bit of cobweb blowing from the pipes and she's running cleaner now! A lot of that was actually dust from outside the arch. [Dan]
His and Hers Haircuts. Not sure she warmed hers up, it was louder, but come on, warm it up!
That's what I said... Mine is louder when warm! (Dutch)
Hers looks like a 90's 900SS minus the faring with a traditional light. Nice. (edit) I prefer hers, buy his is nice too.
gotta love a woman on a bike
Yeah, on the passenger seat.
Isn't that open motor look bad for it? All mud and dirt gets between the belts...
It's common to run open timing belts. Accidents or damage are very rare.
Awesome videos guys keep em up 👌🏻

They are both sport classics!! Doesn’t matter is one is named a GT
Lovely review! Could you tell me where you got that shocks on the GT1000? I'd like to get one of those
All from Hagon
Bring this one back Ducati and I'll be the first in line with cash in hand! The people have spoken!!!
I like the style of the white bike but not a fan of the white paint job. Black paint is always classic.
Vicky I agree with you your bike does look quite a bit better, don't get me wrong I do like the black one also but it's just too much black for me, and Vicky's absolutely does sound better also LOL
Funny vid. I have a Ducati 2007 S4RS custom. Similar but better looking, lighter, and smokes both of your bikes @135hp. How about them apples?
What a dirty, nasty sound from these bikes. Amazing.
2 Masterpiece, love them. 👍🏼
Here's an S
They both suck both are equally horrible.
Great video, thanks. Both are great, sound test in my opinion, 1st hers 2nd place his.
good banter .. good bikes... not a fan of black or white bikes , the GT 1000 looks amazing in Orange with black trim or yellow black..
His and hers what the hell is this about unisex motorcycles now if you can't climb up on the horse don't get on the horse
I love how tough she is. That is one bad ass bird. Love her.
They sound the same one its just louder :P

nice bikes!
That's the only style of bike I wouldn't get in white..I thought, then I saw this video. Bello machines works of functional art.
Love the open belt cases but id be petrified that stone or a someones penis would find its way in-between the belt and pulley :o

She's right! Just because. On every point and if you want peace and harmony you will agree or endure a frosty attitude for the immediate future.
Guys that’s awesome!
Glad you agree!
Forget the bikes they’re a lovely couple.
My goodness she has seduced me
How tall is Vikki?
old one , the original!
