Why electromagnet isnt torqued properly? And from video in the end, it leaks very badly, you can melt piston with that dripping
How to F up an injector 101
Ive been reconditioning injectors for 30plus years and there is no possible way that engine ran fine after they were attacked like that video shows.
No lapping of faces
Wet n dry to polish parts
When "tested" it "atomised"at an incredibly low opening pressure and was dribbling/leaking fuel out. Again....no way that engine ran fine on those injectors after being buthcherd like that.

@@Trenscendent judging by the location of the leak off, I'd say they were.
If such aggressive way is to clean the fuel injectors, then how are we to control man made climate and darken polluted air a cleaner environment, I think these mechanics and engineers are not at all aware of the clean air and atmosphere.

Any suggestion on reading materials that teach the best rebuilding process? I've searched Amazon Books and didn't come across anything. I'm trying to rebuild mine, and TH-cam seems to lack a lot of info on diesel injector rebuilds. Thanks!

This is why TH-cam needs to put the dislike button back. Ill bet some people will think this is ok, but injectors are no joke and have very tight tolerances.
I'd be interested to see those injectors put back on what ever car they came off of and see how well it runs after. clouds of smoke I'm guessing

you are aware the calibration of this injector is now completely up the left not only by stripping it down but by all that aggressive banging on machined surfaces and sanding the main spool needle just because diesel squirts out doesn’t mean it performs as it should

If you are taking an injector apart like that you need to use an ultrasonic cleaner along with a carbon cleaning formula. Wd40 is not built for this

what the technician does is a simple cleaning of the injector, he is not repairing it. I don't even check the control valve. An interesting video for those who are entering diesel electronic injection. but a long way from a professional job of remanufacturing an injector

You're out of your mind if you think using sandpaper on the insides of an injector is good idea. Even 2,000 Grit is too aggressive for anything in an injector.

I am not pro or against this procedure.
Obviously the environment is not that clean and the tools are not that high tech but what I can say for sure is that what you are seeing here as a leakage comes from return port of the injector.
So the drops of fuel come from return port of injector not from nozzle...
