I'm so behind on videos but have a few minutes to spend on my watch later list and this your videos are the first I want to watch! I've read some Sara Teasdale in poetry collections and have loved what I've read, definitely want to read more from her. Oh my, that Tom Bombadil book I need to get for my husband! The Beauty of Motherhood book! 💕 The inscriptions from the children is amazing, and that artwork! 😍
That is a beautiful copy of I Capture the Castle! I have to admit, i didn't love that one and i wondered why everyone else seemed to. 😂 Funny how some books are like that. You've got some fantastic options to choose from this month!
I love your copy of I Capture the Castle! I'm planning to re-read that in late March/April. I love ferns too!! There are so many ferns in the PNW. I'm so intrigued by that Aldrich book! I really want to read Make Believe! I need to track down a copy. My re-read of The Scent of Water is going so well. I love it. I think we read the Rumer Godden book about the dolls instead. I'd love to buddy read the Sparrows book any time. I love those Sarah Arthur devotionals. I did all three of them last year, Advent all the way through Ordinary Time. Brendan sounds very interesting! Oooh, I should read some W.B. Yeats for the Irish readathon! We have the same copy of The Good Earth!
Wow! What a huge pile! Love the green! Yesterday the weather was such that spring was on my mind! I have a few possibilities, but we shall see what I actually read as March moves in. And that green colour in your shirt looks great on you! I thought that about a black turtleneck (I think) you wore in one of your recent videos, too. Happy reading!
All your vintage books are just amazing! I just need to write down a list of all the amazing books and authors you talk about and go on a major thrifting spree and look for them all. Have you ever filmed any of your bookshelves? I would love to see where you have all the books tucked away around your house! Also, where do you keep all your "currently reading" books? Ooh, The Golden Age, I have that same edition of The Wind in the Willows, not my favorite book but I love the edition so it's staying! Another question, how do you justify (to yourself) re-reading books when there are so many that you've never read before? This is my eternal struggle.
OOOOH! Goudge short stories??? EEEP! Need to find that one. And yes, The Scent of Water is such a beautiful story. I love the way she handled things in there. She shows that things happen that shouldn't... and where do you go from there. So beautiful. I really didn't like the White Witch, though. That one didn't work for me. Gorgeous copy of Persuasion! Well, I do love A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. No surprise there. EEEP! I do love Yeats' poetry. :D If you liked Green Dolphin Street, you'll probably like Gone With the Wind. I feel like GDS is the British/New Zealand equivalent of it. The Little White Horse is one of my FAVORITES. Ooooh... You have a nice varied selection. I have to figure out what I'm going to do for MGM! And I realize I don't think I put you down in my "BookTube channel I watch everything from." If I didn't, I wa an idiot. This surprises no one.
Awww! Thanks! ☺️ Hmmm, I don’t love Green Dolphin Street. 😂 I’m still going to try Gone With the Wind as my sister said I watched the movie nonstop. 😅 I don’t remember this! lol! 😆 She always remembers things I don’t!
I think it's one of those books that everyone should probably read for themselves. And maybe even twice. Perhaps if I read it today I'd like it better than 25 years ago. @@amyofhearthridge
I love thinking about getting ready for some good spring reads. I am going to a big library sale at the end of March and I want to keep an eye out for some poetry books. I have never read Anne of Green Gables so thank you for the idea to read her for Chantel's next month prompt!!
What a treat this video was in all its green glory!...Didn't know that Wanda Gag had a version of Snow White! That looks lovely...So excited you are interested in reading The White Witch with me! The time period makes it even more appealing to me...I forgot that Amy Carmichael was Irish. I read Elisabeth Elliott's biography of her and really enjoyed it. The Wild-Bird child sounds wonderful...I had one false start with The Golden Age so I'm hoping to have better luck during our buddy read...Oooh - I would be so excited if you reread Magyk!
I love your mammoth choices!! (I've not read Byzantium yet but it's on my list). I'm looking forward to my Trollope book for Kate's Irish prompt (The Macdermotts).
Hi Amy, The Scent of Water is going on my TBR. I read but un hauled China Court by Rummor Godden. Her writing style didn't work for me. I'm reading one book for March Mystery Madness and Middle Grade March Aggie Morton #3. My spring March reads will be The Sent of Water and Sunflower Street #1 (sweet UK chick lit).
I may have that one on my shelf! 😮 I really liked her In This House of Brede and The Doll’s House but so far her themes are a bit dark and heavy. 🤔 Good idea about Aggie and oooo, I really hope you enjoy Scent of Water!
The Brendan Voyage! My older children have read it for school as well. You may enjoy the podcast episodes that The Literary Life did about Till We Have Faces. I'm reading The Silver Chair right now. : ) I have Speak to the Earth but have not read it yet. I'm fairly new to BookTube so I'm still learning about all the reading challenges and such. I'm looking forward to Middle Grade March and will be looking up some of the other challenges you mentioned here.
Love love love the green theme! 💖
All the green in this video is sooo soothing! I love it! 💚💚💚
🌿🌿🌿thank you!
So many great ideas here! My TBR stack just grew. 😂 I love to see what CM momma's in a later stage than myself are reading. 💛
Sorry not sorry! 😂

I can see that! It’s a little bit odd. 😂 I love it because I identify with Cassandra’s love of writing! 😅
What a lovely video with so many great suggestions and it is so nice to see Jane Kenyon recommended!
Thanks, Susan! Kenyon is just so wonderful! 💚🌿

I read The Good Earth last summer, and it actually had me in tears. Over all it is a good book.❤
Rumer Godden is a favorite of mine. Great suggestions also! A ton of possibilities!!!THANKS!
Sara Teasdale is worth reading. I need to re-read her.
Frederick Buechner is a favorite modern mystic writer.♥️ I like his nonfiction more than his fiction though.
So Much Goodness❣️
Oooo! Good to know about Buechner! Yesssss. Sooo many favs and loveliness! 🥰😍♥️
I absolutely love The Christians Secret of a Happy Life. One of my all time favourites!
It’s SO good! 😁🌿💚🌱

So many good choices!! I get super excited whenever anyone says they are going to try Way of Kings 😊
Oh, good! I need encouragement for big books! 😂I forgot that I read the first Skyward and also some in the Wax & Wayne, too!
