Gronk still makes the difficult catches, but doesn't have the shiftiness or run after the catch that Kelce has. Younger Gronk was fast and runs wild after the catch, sometimes dragging 3 or 4 DBs along for 10 yards or more. Doesn't do that any more. Still makes great catches, but usually goes down right after the catch by a single defender.

In 2018 and 19, he had no one to throw to downfield where he didn't need to hang on the ball. I mean it's obvious, but it was obvious to me in real time during those seasons. I can't tell you how many times he just threw the ball at the feet of his receivers... especially in 2019. It wasn't because he couldn't thow, like most were saying, it was because no one was open.

Chris said, "yes, Brady isn't Mahomes, or Josh Allen, but he's the next tier down." On one level you get it ... but on another level, you don't get it at all. This isn't simply about how good Brady is (which he is ... that's the part you get). Brady is all about making the people around him better. That's what Brady does that Mahomes, Josh Allen, Aaron Rogers don't do. Do you think Leonard Fournette was on track to have a fantastic post season last year? Heck, the Jags released him after not being able to even trade him! Brady works to get him to TB and then works with him one-on-one. Bam ... playoff Lennie is born.

An injury could end it all, but Brady could still be competitive at age 47-if that’s what he wants to do. There’s a lot of 40-60 year old men in this world who want to see a 50 year old competitive athlete. I’d say go for it if you’re able to still compete, even if it’s not at championship level....man 2-3k yards 16-20 tds at age 50-go for it.
Problem is that the media will eat him up and say he’s finally fallen off the cliff as soon as he strings 2-3 subpar games in a row.

    • @donchillow527

You need to watch film more closely, Mahomes often throws bad throws (most interceptable balls last years). He just gets bailed out by Hill and Kelce. Would he have been a Jet. He would be at Carolina now.
Have you ever noticed that in none of Mahomes highlight reels, close target throws are shown, like where he really had to place a ball. They all are throws to Hill where he is further past his defender than AB was in that one play against Dallas. They rather show throws where he leads Hill back into defenders, he allready passed, while he misses any logical route and also underthrows it, when they glorify him.
For me, Dak is better than Mahomes and he also showed it in that game too, cause the defense was supposed to be better and he also missed his best o-liner, but he knows how you have to play when under duress, like Brady did in the SB and Mahomes did not. He, with Reid were either to dumb to adjust plays (like adding blockers or throwing recievers open by placing the ball correctly) or the qb was not capable, your choice.

I doubt it. Isn't there usually a noticable change in physique, in muscle tone and muscle mass? Very obvious in McGwire, Clemons, Armstrong, Bonds, etc. Not seeing that in Brady. He has not gotten bigger. Watching him in that summer golf match, he is toned, but still pretty lean. His arm is still strong and he's throwing better because he improved his mechanics.
