- A lot of people ask me about this rig .. so I have to go back to port botany to make this video ... it doesn't work always but .. nothing wrong having some extra balloons in your tackle box.. this rig can be used for king fish and dropping baits in deep hole with right wind and tide.Practice makes it perfect and hope you enjoy this video.. cheers

You could tie a second line onto the balloon, and retrieve the balloon if you don't want to litter. 😁

slide baiting will do the same job with no balloon.. you cast out ur surf caster just with a sinker then you have a live bait riged up on a short leader to a special clip that you atach to you main line the fish can only swim down you line to the sinker. i use it for yellow tail kingfish and snapper

I wish I could see the moment of bite. Balloon fishing seems to have bit of similarity with float fishing in its mechanism. We use wood float to catch bream or snapper in Korea.

hey just wondering how you figure out the layout of the floor? like the contours? how do you find where the holes are...
the main purpose of this video is.. distance .. but you could drop in hole you know .. but also if the bait takes while to hit the bottom .. than you know its deep
why would you have a running sinker rig? I just go un waited or have a little ball sinker going down to the hook

live bait last longer ... other wise all the small fish will take your bait within 5 mins

@@joshbee5901 Looks like a normal balloon to me. I pick up dozens of these things when im out fishing. Never seen on that was biodegradable. Regardless of if its biodegradable, its littering and its illegal.

ballooning is illegal in all nsw waters mate. fisheries will fine you $550 for first offence.
hg70 there is no such rule mate as far as I know .. But there is a rule you can only release 20 balloon at once in NSW.
you obviously don't know the rules and regulation of NSW Fisheries. Please show where it says this is a $550 fine.

Live baiting is just too Cruel...putting hooks through a live fish's face is nasty.
Nick H I can agree with the back hook but a hook through the lips doesn’t hurt the fish at all it also easy so if you don’t use the bait you can unhook and release the bait with only a small hole in its lips
