My entire buggy was taken and emptied by goodwill employees once! And another time a customer took items from my unattended buggy. Never again will I be out of reach.

Linen Tip: Don't be afraid to pick up "generic brand" towels , bathrobes , bath mats and such IF THEY LOOK UNUSED and are VINTAGE . (The thin towels they had in the 1970s, etc. ). People use them for sets in movies and plays , TV commercials and print ads -- as well as window displays and retro bathrooms. I just sold a plain white bathrobe from the 1970s for about $45.00 (it was one-size-fits-all) . And you don't need to put "movie prop" in your title because people looking for movie props - don't SEARCH the words "movie props" (that would be silly) . They search exactly what they are looking for "Vintage bicycle", "vintage coffee pot" , etc. If you list something as "prop" that may indicate that it was MANUFACTURED as a prop from scratch , and was never a real object. So there's that.
I'm saying this because at 10:05 , that lime green striped towel (?) or pillowcase was a basic 1970s style that also came in gold ..and has "that look".

Sweet Secrets & Liddle Kiddles are two that I know of off hand that are vintage toys to look for but you probably already know this. The Liddle Kiddles from the 1960's of course sell for more alot more. Crazy what people will pay for tiny little toys lol😊

OMG. ! ! I am so glad I found your channel. I was a snowbird for 10 years. Staying in Crystal River so I'm am very familiar with Homosassa, and the Sherriffs Ranch was one of my favorite thrift stores and there use to be plenty of them...I sure wish we had all those thrift stores here in Indiana.

yes i leave my buggy, but I have had other shoppers take my things. best to have another strategy when it is crowded. Maybe make and carry around a laminate sign that says "sold" or store your basket with an employee. But, yes, thrifting in small spaces can be a contact sport! LOL

3:00 I have done Cross Stitch. When you hand wind on cardboard tags for storage, typically, you would write the number on the tag. The cross stitch patterns have the numbers for each stitch, which corresponds with the correct color to use. Each colored thread varies in price, and a box full like that would be pricey.

Yes, A box of them still sells well. Some people like myself, don't use it for cross-stitch. So, some people don't need the numbers. I'd keep it for millinery and other fiber art accessories I'll be making.

Doll collectors are really hard sells 😉 And what is collectible now in dolls any cabbage patch outfit, birth certficate will sell whether there's a doll or not...and knowing what is collectible now, since I lived the era's lol and this content is months old...
I know you recently began adding more of your thrifting adventures of lates and so a few times in some of your recent ones I saw things that you walked by, only because you have a great eye for profit...its better to sell to the market, everything else is in a niche from toys to jewelry.
So toys or things you might not have known about, and often they aren't in the toy's some of these things end up with the keyrings or end up in the bags, the bags often at a few bucks will reveal stuff like this. 90's electronic things like Gigapets, Tamagotchi they look like key rings and batteries can be replaced, hand held tiger games.
Yeah sure old Nintendo 64 stuff sells but these sell and while you may run into old Nintendo and video stuff off and on, if you look often people think they are cheap reproduction knock offs because they sold so many back then but each electronic pet was individual so very collectible.
Robot pets, Furby, Tickle Me Elmo, creepy Teddy Ruxpin, board games, rubber finger puppets, pogs, SUPER SOAKERS, velcro paddle and ball game (this if you see it BRIGHT PINK AND GREEN) was discontinued, polly pocket, ninja turtles...my kids had all of this spoiled brats.
Cassette players, electronic diaries all that kind of stuff, is sitting on the shelves but no one knows other than those who started driving the prices up
I know what to look for only because once upon a time I bought it all, my kids were spoiled rotten.

But I think it is supposed to say kate spade new york and have a tiny spear shape next to it. As you would expect, there are videos on how to spot one that is l edit. Happy thrifting

When I first started watching you, one of the items I remember is you purchased a pet waterer appliance. For some reason that stuck in my head. I always check out the pet section. Especially for costumes for pets! In the toys, puzzles are really becoming a popular item I sell. BUT you have to make sure that all the pieces are there so I usually only purchase those still in original shrink wrap. However, ones that I think are valuable I will take home and count the pieces, YES I've done that. If all the pieces aren't there I will return the item to Goodwill (when I purchase it I put a postit note on it as to which store I bought it from so I know where to return).

I sell a lot of vintage jewelry and was wondering if you have any jewelry cleaning tips or hacks to offer? The jewelry I pick is good stuff and is profitable, but holy crap.... I'm here cleaning jewelry all day at times it feels! I would never sell an item that I felt wasn't cleaned to the upmost of my capabilities! How much time do you spend cleaning the stuff you found in the wild??? I'm just like.... WTF.... how can I reduce this ALL DAY CLEANING GRIND?! THANK YOU! 😢
I don't clean any jewelry except sterling I use an ultrasonic cleaner sometimes if no stones on it. I don't clean really anything....

Also, I hardly EVER leave Chiefland….but 2 days ago I had a dr appt in Gainsville. I went to the Goodwill after my appointment and was so disappointed.
I did get a brand new Van Heusen men’s shirt with original tag $55.00 on it, size 17 1/2 Neck *um*?
But I got it for $3.99.
Also got a perfect Mug in pristine condition with sharp colors…..red white and blue “United States Marines”-absolutely beautiful…I got that for $2.99.
Other than that….it was nothing like where you are right now.
But I DID SCORE…..so that was cool!
I do if I go regular and know the item has been there a while (I will tell them hey this has been here over a month can we do less on the price) I do sometimes go to other areas of the store but there were so many to look up it would have taken too long. I have never been impressed with the Gainesville goodwills I find ok stuff but not enough to drive there
