    Thank you everything youve posted and for continuing to post content! I recently got an old accord from this same era, and your videos have helped me a ton. I definitely owe you a beer.

    Hell yeah! A new upload!
    Excellent info.
    Just an FYI to everyone, the front brake calipers on an Intehra Type R aren't unique to just that model. They are a parts bin caliper. Shared with the CL, Accord wagons, 5th Gen Prelude, and Odyssey.
    There actually arent too many ITR-specific mechanical parts. Its a hodge-podge of random H/A models.
    I understand its easier to just call them ITR calipers though.

    Wooow amazing. I have an 85 Accord EX canadian model. I have 9.5” rotors looking for a larger upgrade this might work out for me

      The knuckle on your Accord might be different than what I have. The 9.5" and 10.3" equipped vehicles use different caliper brackets.

    Fire video. Also if I’m correct I think those screws are JIS screws sometimes a Phillips #2 works but usually strips

    89 sei 120k miles. Had it for 10k miles changed oil 3 times. Now has what I believe to be rod or wrist pin knock. Any advice?

    • @aziangarage
      @aziangarage  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's always difficult for me to diagnose over the internet especially audibly. Was there anything you changed that made it happen suddenly or did it happen out nowhere? It's possible it could be the valves need adjusting (I have a video on that) or exhaust leak.

    • @Eztops
      @Eztops 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@aziangarage I'm an avid enthusiast. Built a few race cars from bottom up. Sounds like rod knock 100%.. BUT rod bearings were fine. Worn, but not scored or spun. Put fresh ones in still the same thing. Also have adjusted valves. No change. Noise is loudest for about 3 seconds after startup.

      @Eztops 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@aziangarage also noticed with stethoscope the noise is the loudest when I put it on the motor mount on the driver side of the engine. (Ruled out timing tensioner)

      @@aziangarage also worth noting that head gasket did go and mixed oil with coolant but I repaired that promptly.. maybe just used engine swap and tear down this one on a stand. Idk. I appreciate your vids buddy.

      The only thing I can think of based from my past experience is the water pump. I had a knocking/clicking sound that came from the same area you described and it was gone after I changed the pump.

    Hey bossman! I know this is outside of the topic of the video, but i've been wondering about the suspension on the 88 accord. I have a 1988 ca5 accord and im currently stuck trying to find coilovers for it. I live in finland so ordering actual ca5 coilovers are SUPER expensive. Do you know if other hondas coilovers will work on the ca5? Sorry for the wall of text and lack of grammar. Keep up the good content!

    • @aziangarage
      @aziangarage  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for checking out my channel and don't worry about the grammer, your English is better than my Finnish. I usually don't recommend any other suspension for the CA5 due to how unique the suspension is. What are attempting to do? Lower the car?

    • @Harmaalap
      @Harmaalap 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@aziangarage Purely just lowering the car. its a rust bucket so i might aswell just stance it and have fun 😀

    • @aziangarage
      @aziangarage  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      96-00 Civic rears will lower the back quite a bit, for the fronts I recommend using the Accord top hats and forks due the civic forks being taller which will raise the front, the civic shock body is slightly wider than the Accord so some modification may be needed to slip them in the Accord forks. I don't know how low the front will go with stock Civic springs/shocks. I know you said you are just having fun with the car so don't expect this setup to ride comfortably and or last long. I hope this helps!

    Hello love your videos and the dash light video really helped me a lot but I do have quick question by any chance do you know if tail lights, trim, panels, hood, bumpers, etc from a 89 accord lxi fit on a 88 accord lxi my 88 the 89 is literally a diamond mine and only reason why I want my 88 is because I already did a good amount of work on it lol

    • @aziangarage
      @aziangarage  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As long as it's for the same model (hatch, sedan, coupe, aerodeck) it should work. To my knowledge everything from fenders forward is all interchangeable no matter what model. The only difference would be 86-87 pre facelift bumpers but it will still bolt onto the 88-89 chassis and vice-versa.
