God i love the f82 ///M4.. I know the G82 is technically better, if only they didnt make it ugly as sin. F chassis are the true culmination of everything n M car should be. RWD, not too flashy interior, real sound from the powertrain, not the BS fake noise. and it looks amazing to boot. a real drivers car.

I do also love the F82 and mostly prefer it to the G82, but you do realize the F82 also has pumped-in engine sounds through the speakers, right?

Everyone ive talked to prefers the F8X steering and overall feeling when compared to the G8X. Actually one of my buddies had an F80, got an G80, modded the crap out of its suspension and engine, then got fed up and sold it to get another F80 lmao. The best part of the G8X platform is the S58 and if it matters to you the optional X drive

You could see the power had gone going up Kesselchen before the definite limp mode. I understand the comfort DCt setting but sport+ engine mode usually activates extra cooling (might have helped)
You can code max cooling all the time which i guarantee would have been done
you didnt watch the end? it was the secondary water pump that wasn't working.
@@raiNofchAosFPSyea saw that, but just mentioning the comfort engine setting may also be a contributing factor.
@@cw205mi16not at all. just keeps the fans working harder and makes the throttle more sensitive. does keeps temps slightly lower but that wasn’t the issue here. regardless of what mode you are in, once the vehicle gets to a certain temp, whether oil or water, cooling is ramped up and the temps start to drop. these cars have fantastic cooling and the mode you are in is not effecting lap times, I can guarantee it.

Lol the eye raise after passing all the Porches, and the fact that he barely seemed to be breathing shows just how amazing this car is that he put together. Too bad on the connectors causing the over heat, hope you get to drive it again it's a beast.

Most of the videos, the owners are mostly unknown to the public so I can't really judge. It's then even more impressive to see Malte, who knows a lot about tuning and has his business in that industry, be overwhelmed with what his car can do. It speaks for the platform but also for Misha.

You drive M cars on the lowest DCT setting. Any specific reason for that?
To not unsettle the car in corners
Thats why m cars get crashed, people turn everything off thinking there a driver and car becomes unhappy and spins out
@@mgcharoudin We had the same "problem" with our m4 in stock form. The GTS transmission flash fixed the problem. Dont know how this guy spend thousands of € on turbos and forgot the transmission flash for like 150 bucks. Our tuner also told us that if you want to push the car you have to go sport plus since it opens up all cooling circuits. Once you´re in sport plus oil temps are dropping like 15 degrees. Hope this helps. Have a great day :)
I also do it in my M5. Lowest setting is smoother in low rpm and when in high rpm it shifts as fast as in highest setting, no difference.
What about sport + and adaptive dampers shouldn't that help in the corners ? And better cooling.....yes I'll agree with others the manual shifts are same regardless but yes throttle is a bit smoother in comfort however if u flip the sport switch u do get noticeable HP gain....sooo was it really 590 or maybe 500 on his tune?

With a BMW, a proper module-level diagnostic scan is important. There must have been a fault code stored for this already. On my E46 when the thermostat heater (to allow more cooling under severe condiitons) had a fault there was a code, but no engine light.

Great video. I have two questions. Why the throttle response mode was in “Efficient” instead of “sport” and why a number of “7” appears at 11:16 neat to the speed number at the odometer? Thanks.
I guess that efficient is the Track Map, so it’s not making Full boost
probably because on the track anything much over stock power is too much on these cars. And the number 7 was indicating he was in 7th gear
Less sensitive throttlem
Sport or Sport Plus is essentially a fake extra throttle when you touch the gas pedal. In efficient you can control it more when coming out of corners.
I’m not sure if you know this or not Misha, and I’m not sure if it’s the same on the S55, but I’ve got a F10 M5 and when you run it in sport plus rather than sport or efficient, the coolant and oil temp run 10-15 degrees cooler as it utilises additional electric water pumps and coolers. Should help with temps on track significantly
temps weren’t the issue here, the pump failed.
these cars are smart enough to know to ramp up cooling when temps get to a certain threshold, so doesn’t matter what mode you are in. actually, efficient is usually easier on track since you have more pedal control

I see all this nice cars with Protrack wheels... I went through 2 sets of Protrack wheels and my experience wasn't good at all. I was benting wheels at every single trackday. I replaced them with some Motec Wheels and problem solved. I have a friend with the same issue with Protrack wheels. I don't mind benting wheels on a track car but not like that... butter wheels.
You have a poker face so I can't always tell if you enjoying or not but the passengers facial expressions are the best

Daaaamn those M4‘s are great handling cars. Holy shit this thing rotates so nicely for a front engined car. This thing is a track missile. After Fuchsroehre the tires are warmed up an you see how this thing starts to work. One question for Misha, how did you like the seats? I mean this thing pulled some heavy g forces for stock seats 🫨

In Portugal we have many M4s with more than 900 hp only with bigger injectors, hibrid turbo, and remap, all other things are stock

Still think the e92 platform was peak BMW, love the mechanical ps feel compared to electrical

@@vollcare4076 the e92 was the last platform to have a mechanical power steering pump. But to be fair it was also a pretty big issue in the e9x since it had a tendency to hit the front subframe with bumps, and the pulley would get damaged usually resulting in the Serpentine belt getting thrown off and famously sucked into the front crank pulley. Source: went thru like 4 belts on my e92

this is the second DCT car in a few days where I noticed the shift speed isnt dialed up (in the f10 M5 video it was on 2) , does it just not matter when in the zone/you dont notice/dont care with everything else happening?

Nice power delivery but u can tell the tcs is working overtime to keep the car planted brakes are superb but they do make the car a lil wiggly shall we say 😂

It always kills me when the shifts are not in the most aggressive setting, makes the car a little bit laggy when up and down shifting

The car is making far above stock power, keeping throttle response and shift aggression down makes it less likely to unsettle the car while cornering

if your e92's waterpump wasn't working ... it would boil itself to death real quick, probably overheat the oil, then kill the bearings and shit the bed 😅

doesn’t matter. the bmw is smart enough to know when to apply additional cooling at certain thresholds regardless of modes.
