@@deejay7060 I've heard that from others as well, here's a couple things that had me thinking about that. Try singing something from this album and record it, then play it back. I've done it, I'm an ok singer but I sounded terrible compared to Vince. The thing is, not everyone is gonna be a Rob Halford or Geoff Tate. As great as they are neither one of them would have been as good in MC as Vince was. At that moment in time I doubt you would've been able to find a better overall frontman for Motley Crue, if that were possible it would have surely happened.

@@michaelharrington75 the first two are the most raw, I consider them proper heavy metal albums. They went a bit pop afterwards, although they did still make some very good songs.
You are right the first two were the best albums i was a fan in 1984 and like most Crue fans walked away when Smokin in the Boys room came out. They acquired a more mainstream crowd after that and got a lot bigger but where never as good.
The crazy part is that they don't sound very different in concert these days, at least when Mick was still there. Everyone likes to pick apart the different elements and poke fun at this or that, but it's the audience that has changed so drastically and become jaded.
Saw this tour in the early stages. I believe it was the 8th date December 4th, 1983 at the Ritz Music Hall in Corpus Christi, Texas. The opener was a local band (Little Ducks From Mars) that got booed off the stage because they weren’t a metal band playing to a metal crowd. The venue was a 1500 seat theatre. The band was tight and put on a hell of a show. It’s the only concert I’ve ever bought a long sleeve tshirt at the merch booth. It had flames up the sleeves with the Pentagram on the front and dates on the back. Oh the memories of the 80’s and being a teenage Metalhead during that decade. It was a glorious time.
This is the only concert I could find where Vince sings the chorus of Looks That Kill just like on the record. His voice sounded really great here, they should release the soundboard audio of this show!
Thank you for this , I like to let the people who bash motley and Vince listen to this this was before guns and roses and many other bands that people say are 10 x better than the Crue , they were the first luvdacrue

Vince is killing it. His voice was epic back then. Micks tone!!! OMG. He had his monster tone from the very beginning. Tommy Lee was a drumming god in my teenage eyes. And Nikki was playing good as well. Back before he got on the backing track bandwagon.
You ain't kidding, they were on fire here. I'm not sure if Motley Crue invented Glam Metal but I'm pretty certain they perfected it. Thrilled to have found this. Basically the same set I saw as a teen in early 1984 at the Broome County Arena in Binghamton NY. They supported Ozzy on his Bark at the Moon Tour and Waysted opened for Motley. Without any doubt a memorable experience captured right here.
Motley Crue and WhiteSnake was my first show ever at the Broome County Arena. It was a golden age for that town and not only the towns' local music scene , But it seemed like once a month there were concerts at the Arena. Not so anymore. Probably the last 20 years. The last show I saw at the Arena was either Godsmack in the Faceless tour or Tool. Can't remember which.
My first show was 1985 Motely Crue at the Hartford Civic Center. I was in the 2nd row and was so loud I couldn't hear my moped engine when riding afterward. The pyrotechnics during the song Red Hot seemed to be way bigger than the other show I just watched. LOL, my face and arms felt the heat and was like opening a furnace door. The young women sitting next to me took off their panties and threw them to Vince who grabbed and gave or threw to Nikki. Everyone from the back rushed to the stage which was unexpected and was one heck of a first show.
This is one awesome piece of Rock/Metal history on video. This was a great tour and the first time I saw the band was at the Dallas,Texas show in Dec of 83 and in San Angelo,Texas about a week later.A friend of mine shot pictures at both shows and they met them in San Angelo.
My first show ever at Verdun. it was hot like hell I was 13 and they only served beer No water, no pepsi nothing..Was not a concern in 1984. Lol. First come first seated, no designated seat I barely made it alive in the auditorium. I was like 100pds at the time. Times have changed
I was there too, right at the front. Got spit on a few times because the idiot next to me kept spitting on Nikki and Vince, and they kept returning the favour. Still thought it was an awesome show.
I saw the earlier in the year tour Crue opening for Ozzy it was exactly like this even where I sat is similar to the vid! Still my favorite show of all time.
Seen this tour in May 1984 at the Amarillo, TX civic center. Saxon, I believe opened for them if memory serves me well. I had just turned 13 that April. I was the oldest out of us 3. They were 12!! Tickets were 12.50..12.00...? I know not over 15.00 for sure. Brenda, Felecia and I were on Mick Mars side. Vince's talk and questions were almost the same. Stage set up the same. I don't remember the song line up though. Just know Shout At The Devil was first with its intro. I remember Sixx having this huge bra dangling from his bass. Wow, a flood of memories. I could write so much more. What an awesome upload!
The difference is because back then, he would run around a lot. When he stands still during songs, he’d hit pretty much every word. Nowadays, he still can’t hit every word even if he stands still.
Just like DLR, running around like that, yeah you're gonna mess up a lot but nobody cared then, it was a high energy rock and roll concert. Only computer screen critics point these things out 20 years later.
@@stiffrichard2816 this is my argument when people complain about singers, most singers nowadays barely move, 80s rock is high energy constant movement of course you’re going to be out of breath

This show was in Quebec city, not Montreal. Just saying. I was in Montreal probably the day before. I can't believe this show, my first ever, is on youtube. I love you guys ! For the records, in Montreal they served only beer. No water, no Pepsi nothing. We were 13 and got ourselves some beers cauz it was hot lie hell. 1984 !!!
Great video!! I saw them on this tour on May.19th, 1984 open for Ozzy here in South Florida. Watching this vid is like reliving the time I saw them back then. Motley Crue were at their best then IMO.
It seems after extensive touring, Vince sang a lot of these tunes even better than on the records. Practice makes perfect. And a lot of the songs just sound better live too.
Man I swear Motley even had a different playin style at this time..very anthemic and aggressive..even their stage presence is more aggressive. They changed styles completely on each album..new logo new style new sound but same attitude
I've got a theory about why so many of their early songs were anthemic.... Nikki's aunts husband who some some record company guy that sent nikki records as a kid probably told him that statistically ANthemic songs have a tendency to become hits. I guess it's a "secret to success" in the industry.
It's sad this is the best tour video of the shout tour, ..but at the same time thank goodness for this video ....SHOUT AT DEVIL at time I was 12 and I adored the album ,I changed my looks ,and girls started liking me, .....and I started getting laid haha not bad for a 13 yr... old but I looked 18 already it was magical time ,boy I miss those days !! ...MOTLEY CRUE will be remembered forever...
They are also the famous US Festival in video but Quebec city was complete and uncensored and......uncut Gr8 show 4 this 100% Rockin city Lot of band's prefer playing in Quebec than Montreal I wonder why ? Thanx for your hard work on the shows and those Priceless memories you share whit us!!!!
with todays video tech.. i am sure there is a way of making the video & audio even clearly as its a great full show at this point they were unstoppable
Wow!!! Can’t believe I finally came across this concert, saw this tour in SLC Utah front row, between Vince and Mick! THOSE WHERE THE DAYS🤘🏻 Thank you for posting, can’t wait to show my grandkids👍🏻

Having just been to the Sydney & Melbourne 2023 concerts, yer at 62+ years old they don't put on the same show BUT they DEFINITELY don't disappoint. Vince certainly doesn't have the same voice, nor do any of us at that age, although 99.9% of us have NEVER lived their lifestyle. For those who leave negative thoughts, why bother watching/listening. It seems you've already decided yet still watch/listen. Mötley Crüe fkn ROCK
So many aerobic moves by Vince and Nikki who was really channeling Juan Croucier here. :) In all seriousness, probably the #1 tour I wish I saw - Crue headlining 1984. Love the stage set, the clothes, the energy, the raw backing vocals, etc.
Mötley Crüe's concerts were ALWAYS incredible! From their interactions with the crowds, to the insane Tommy Lee's unbelievable drum solo, to Mick Mars 🎸🎸guitar solo🎸🎸! Even Nikki Sixx's Bass solo was always fun especially with the interactions with the crowd. They were all crazy AF and they were ALWAYS kicking ass! I was so lucky to have been able to see Mötley Crüe open for Ozzy Osborne plus so many other bad *ss bands. The 🦂Scorpions🦂, Van Halen, Autograph, the Japanese band Loudness, and others. Those years were awesome. They had the absolute best music ever seen and heard!
fucking incredible ! i saw motley crue for theatre of pain tour in early 86 i believe it was and then again in 89 for dr.feelgood era and then in 2012 and twice in 2015! long live the primal screamers!
I’m a huge Motley Crue fan. I have been since the beginning. But I’ve never seen them live. My best friend has seen them several times, even though he only kind of likes them. He told me after watching them tour with Shout At the Devil and Girls, Girls, Girls that if I wanted to stay a fan to avoid seeing them live. After watching many live videos on TH-cam I think I understand why he made that statement. Vince has a tough time keeping up with the amount and pace of lyrics on most of the Crue’s tunes. Plus I’m not sure I enjoy his shrieks when he talks to the audience. That being said, I would much rather watch a bad Crue concert than never seeing them at all. By the way, my friend used his mom’s money to fund his concert experiences, where as I had to fund my own. He did bring me t-shirts and other merch at times. I love him to this day. He actually turned me on to the Crue so it’s his fault I’m the huge fan that I am.
THIS is Motley Crue!!! This is the way they looked and sounded the first time I ever heard of them, back in 6th grade, in 1983. It's sad look at them now, especially Vince.
Back in 84 watching this was unreal, these guys were absolute badasses and on turbo drive during this time of debauchery. This is one awesome piece of Rock/Metal history on video. This was a great tour and the first time I saw the band was at the Dallas,Texas show in Dec of 83 and in San Angelo,Texas about a week later.A friend of mine shot pictures at both shows and they met them in San Angelo.
I lived in San Angelo at that time. I wanted to go but I was 10! Weren't they opening for KISS on that tour?
@@ThrillingTwo Motley only opened a hand full of shows in the west with KISS.Then they started a small venue tour headlining in the winter of 84.
I was at that Dallas show. Bronco Bowl?
Bloody hell, another show I was at! At a smaller venue: the Verdun Auditorium, Accept was the opening act.
My first show ever at Verdun. it was hot like hell I was 13 and they only served beer No water, no pepsi nothing..Was not a concern in 1984. Lol. First come first seated, no designated seat I barely made it alive in the auditorium. I was like 100pds at the time. Times have changed
Exactly, Accept offered a killer performance too.
I was there too, right at the front. Got spit on a few times because the idiot next to me kept spitting on Nikki and Vince, and they kept returning the favour. Still thought it was an awesome show.
This was Motley at their best. I saw them in San Jose on this tour. Great memories.
Warlord❤🔥Deliver Us❤🔥1983❤🔥William J Tsamis❤🔥R I P
What an absolutely badass tour.. Motley at their best. I was 11 yers old when this was happening, I would have killed to see this.
same here, man
So killer! I would’ve been 10 at this time 🤘🏼
@@damionchrist I was 11!! Lol
@@matthewmeserve73 - we had the best music growing up, 70’s, 80,s, 90’s, and 00!
@@damionchrist Absolutely!!!
So nostalgic! The best of their day! Apparently Vince has always struggled with losing breath and skipping lyrics.
Vince sings incredible here
@@stiffrichard2816 I know, I saw them in the glorious 80's in their prime. They set the bar for every live performance I've seen since then. Vince just doesn't have it anymore.
Shout sounds awesome not rushed like its played now in concert. Vince is singing the songs not mumbling through all of them!!! Absolutely love this concert. My brother actually caught Tommy lees drumstick at rupp arena Kentucky during this tour!!!!
this is my all time favorite bootleg and have watched it many times
once upon a time there was the real Motley Crue. Vince had the pipes then
This show was in Quebec city, not Montreal. Just saying. I was in Montreal probably the day before. I can't believe this show, my first ever, is on youtube. I love you guys ! For the records, in Montreal they served only beer. No water, no Pepsi nothing. We were 13 and got ourselves some beers cauz it was hot lie hell. 1984 !!!
Possible, at Verdun, Vince Neil threw a bottle of Bombay Gin at someone in the crowd and the Crue were close to starting a fight.
I was there! wow this brings me back!
Great video!! I saw them on this tour on May.19th, 1984 open for Ozzy here in South Florida. Watching this vid is like reliving the time I saw them back then. Motley Crue were at their best then IMO.
Wow, Vince actually sounds like a Vince from the record. This was my childhood, so good to see this vid, thanks for posting!
Incredible and powerful. Thanks for posting.
Vince was so fucking badass.
i saw them this tour opening for Ozzy in Boston, with Waysted. they were awesome, Mick stole the show
It seems after extensive touring, Vince sang a lot of these tunes even better than on the records. Practice makes perfect. And a lot of the songs just sound better live too.
I saw this show in high school when I was a freshman back in ‘84 and it was killer
I was a freshman too in 1984 - saw MC with OZZY in NJ
Man I swear Motley even had a different playin style at this time..very anthemic and aggressive..even their stage presence is more aggressive. They changed styles completely on each album..new logo new style new sound but same attitude
I've got a theory about why so many of their early songs were anthemic....
Nikki's aunts husband who some some record company guy that sent nikki records as a kid probably told him that statistically ANthemic songs have a tendency to become hits.
I guess it's a "secret to success" in the industry.
Nikki has the rocknroll in spirit... hes not producted... hes authentic...like the other members, but stronger...
These videos are really amazing for people like me who weren’t alive in the 80s and really want to experience it. Thank you
It's sad this is the best tour video of the shout tour, ..but at the same time thank goodness for this video ....SHOUT AT DEVIL at time I was 12 and I adored the album ,I changed my looks ,and girls started liking me, .....and I started getting laid haha not bad for a 13 yr... old but I looked 18 already it was magical time ,boy I miss those days !! ...MOTLEY CRUE will be remembered forever...
..love it! 💥...I saw them live twice on this tour...memory of a lifetime!☠
Saw this in cleveland opening for ozzy bark at the moon tour !
I was at this show , verdun auditorium, Accept was the opener.
They are also the famous US Festival in video but Quebec city was complete and uncensored and......uncut
Gr8 show 4 this 100% Rockin city
Lot of band's prefer playing in Quebec than Montreal
I wonder why ?
Thanx for your hard work on the shows and those Priceless memories you share whit us!!!!
Tommy's stick twirling....EPIC!
I can’t believe this is 40 years ago
This is Quebec City Quebec, not Montreal Quebec.
The mighty Crue when they were hungry
with todays video tech.. i am sure there is a way of making the video & audio even clearly as its a great full show at this point they were unstoppable
I think this has to be the only full concert. I saw them in Fresno on this tour. Its was epic!
thanks for posting, I saw them on this tour at the CNE Coliseum, Toronto. Not my first concert, but still one of the most memorable.
Wow!!! Can’t believe I finally came across this concert, saw this tour in SLC Utah front row, between Vince and Mick! THOSE WHERE THE DAYS🤘🏻 Thank you for posting, can’t wait to show my grandkids👍🏻
Vince’s voice sounds so strong . Great video .
Saw them open for Ozzy at The Meadowlands, N.J. in 1983. Great band!
I was at the show at the Meadowlands Arena for Bark at the Moon but it was early 1984
Waysted opened
Saw this tour with Ozzy in Spokane Wa. My senior year of High School . This concert was a highlight
I saw this show in denver, they were opening for ozzy. Talk about crazy energy!
SEEN CRUE OPEN FOR OZZY ,ALSO WHEN THEY HEADLINED IN 84 SAXON OPENED FOR THEM ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS BESIDES V.H. 81. ,CRUE WAS NEVER THE SAME AFTER THEATRE OF PAIN ,I.M.O.
Over the top for a band that had only been together for three years. No one could touch a live Crue show from 87-91.
Love this band
Having just been to the Sydney & Melbourne 2023 concerts, yer at 62+ years old they don't put on the same show BUT they DEFINITELY don't disappoint. Vince certainly doesn't have the same voice, nor do any of us at that age, although 99.9% of us have NEVER lived their lifestyle. For those who leave negative thoughts, why bother watching/listening. It seems you've already decided yet still watch/listen. Mötley Crüe fkn ROCK
Seen them open for ozzy at the mid south coliseum memphis tennesee on this tour march 1st 1984 they were drunk as skunks great show.....
Huge upgrade in quality. Awesome. Thanks.
I saw this show at the spectrum in Philly the Crue opened for Ozzy both of them to this day are my favorites Ozzy 1A Motley Crue 1B 🤟🤘🏼
God I wish I can go back to 80s
Im with You
Tommy is a beast!!!
So many aerobic moves by Vince and Nikki who was really channeling Juan Croucier here. :)
In all seriousness, probably the #1 tour I wish I saw - Crue headlining 1984.
So awesome too see them actually play their instruments 😊 . Old school with no ear pieces . Love it .
Proof Vince was a beast at one time . He did outstanding here . That was the fire before they had big money !!
Bands are always at their best when they're hungry
Thanks bro..this is what i want to see in Motley Crue in live concert..
When the music is all connected and synchronized..Motley❤Crue
I sae this tour. They had like 40 minutes and every song was off either Too Fast for Love or Shout. It was heavy metal bliss.
THIS is Motley Crue!!! This is the way they looked and sounded the first time I ever heard of them, back in 6th grade, in 1983. It's sad look at them now, especially Vince.
We all age!!
GREAT JOB ALL...THANX 4 MAKING Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO the music worldwide.
LOVE YOU ALL...!!!....MUCH LOVE.!!
Back in 84 watching this was unreal, these guys were absolute badasses and on turbo drive during this time of debauchery. There will never be another era like this and that's totally cool for those of us old enough to have enjoyed it. Sure the 70's were hipper but the 80's were about Sex, Drugs and Rock music 😛♥️
Seen this tour in SLC UT 13 14 years old they rocked back then!
Saw them on this tour. Santa Monica Civic, California. Axe opened up for them. Good times.
I saw them twice on this tour.. once opening for Ozzy and once the headliner in a small theater.. no one could touch them.
The band sound great here, including Vince!
Thats the show I saw first time in Houston at the , if I remember rightly, the Astro Arena...with two other bands Axe and Heaven. I was in the 7th grade.
They came back shortly after that and opened for Ozzy..saw that show as well. Fun times back then.
Debió ser genial ver una gira con canciones solo del Too fast for love y el Shout at the devil
cocaine is a hell of a drug!!!
