Thailand/Cambodia - Border situation remains tense

As supporters of ousted co-Prime Minister Prince Norodom Ranarridh gathered in Phnom Penh to welcome him back from exile, the situation along the Thai-Cambodia border remained tense. There were reports of more Khmer Rouge defections to the Cambodian government of Hun Sen.
Segeant Major Adisorn Prakobsook, head of the Thai army contingent at Mor Daeng Tourist Park, said there has been much activity at the border temple of Preah Vahear, which has apparently fallen to troops loyal to Hun Sen, Cambodia's strongman.
Troops believed to be Khmer Rouge soldiers who defected to troops aligned with Hun Sen were seen from a distance walking around the temple complex.
