I would imagine you could make the cort sound closer to the ibanez by turning up the gain a bit since the ibanez is using Fishmann pickups which are higher output.
Got the ibanez and it has its flaws especially with the finish. but considering all the features packed in, it’s a lot of a guitar for the price. Love it to bits.
Worth noting that the neck on the Ibanez in this case is totally different between models, as well as the pickups installed. Same factory, but two VERY different sounding and feeling instruments! Cheers - Sam
Hi James, The feel of the neck and the general tuning stability loads better on the Ibanez, due to the material construction, and locking tuners e.t.c. Playing action dependent entirely on setup but both felt as if they could go nice and low past factory if needed. Hope this helps - Sam

No not neccasarily, they are both great sounding and feeling guitars, would reccomend trying some 7 string out in a guitar shop before commiting to buying anything online, especially if you are not sure. Hope this helps! - Sam

I took a 2 hour trip to Manchester UK as I live in out in the sticks, but even there the availability of 7-strings was shockingly low, I tried maybe 3 or 4 after scouring some shops. And I didn't really like them! It's led me to the conclusion that I should probably get just a dedicated 6-string baritone. Thanks for the guidance again though!
Came for the rgd, surprised by the Cort. I know they’re both technically Cort guitars, but I wish Ibanez would just make the RGD one color. The top color paint job is unnecessary.
@@ilay829 People usually buy for name, and they have good reason to, but if name doesn’t matter, Cort are the ghost builder of a lot of Indonesian guitars for decades. They make nice guitars and it’s clear why brands have Indonesian models built by them.
The difference is you can resell one of them to anyone. The other would sell for half its value in a year. The outlier is if you’re looking to keep it forever rather than reselling, both are worth keeping.
So both guitars are 25.5 on the top side and 27 on the low side, baritone scale length on non multiscale guitars can be anything between 27 to 30.5, "Multiscale" would be an indication of having the best of both worlds, a longer (though not neccarily baritone) scale on the lower end and a more traditional scale length on the top strings. I think it would be a fairer comparison if you choose the Cort KX507 instead. That guitar is also equipped with Fishman Fluence pickups.

It's the same guitar, it just changes the brand because the Indonesian court that manufactures the ibanez and is made in Indonesia is the same guitar.
