I started Dave Ramsey's baby steps in sept 2016 with $124k, became debt free in jan 2021 and have been debt free for 3 yrs now. Completed step 3 last year, while doing what I love, traveling! using cash and with Kids! and have been doing baby step 4 5 and 6. Thank you Dave, you have changed my family tree forever! We all appreciate all your work and your teachings!
How did you stay consistent?? I’ve been paying off debt for 2 years now and still have $27k to go but I feel burnt out and like I am never going to get there..
@@edjohn4590 give yourself some grace. After 2 years you deserve a treat. Whatever it is for you: a vacation, a concert, etc. I found it helpful to break up the sum into new "babysteps" or rather another snowball system : pay of 2000, then 5000,then 7000, then the rest?
@edjohn4590 I just kept looking at how much interest I was giving away for FREE to the banks. I would review the statements, and it would SERIOUSLY piss me off 😠 😡. Another example. While I was paying off my car loan, I kept laughing when BOA would say, "no payment due until (2 years later). Basically trying to entice me to slow down on making such high payments. ( Min payment $199, but I was making $1k payments.) Print out your goal (for example, be debt free) and place it next to your budget area. PUT AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE TO YOUR DEBT!!! Smallest to largest like the snowball. You got this!!
aw, I get it, very normal to feel burnt when you’re almost at the end. I think having a goal helped me, people who can support me. Give yourself some grace, enjoy a hike, a coffee, and keep going; you will never regret it. Be well!
You guys have changed my life. 10 years I was 400k in debt. Now I'm 600k positive and creating a legacy for my children. My kids have learned from my mistakes. Thank you, so much. 👏🏻👏🏻❤️ IT
I have been debt free since 2021 including the house. Retired now and living well! Thanks to Dave! Never did get to call in and scream "I'm debt free!! 😊
The rich are money-minded; that's a lesson I've grasped from the very beginning. My desire to build wealth has always been strong. I’ve set aside $160K since 2020, and I’m eager to invest it in the stock market to grow my financial future. I’d love to hear any recommendations you have.
I think the safest strategy is to diversify investments. But if you need proper advice, consider speaking with a financial expertise. Don't get me wrong, you can do it on your own, but financial advisors have a lot more knowledge and expertise in this area.
Agreed, I've always delegated my excesses to an advisor, since suffering major portfolio loss early 2020, amid covid outbreak. I'm now semi-retired and only work 7.5 hours a week, with barely 25% short of my $1m retirement goal after subsequent investments to date.
My CFA, Judith Lynn Staufer, is a renowned figure in her field. I recommend researching her name online; you’ll find all her credentials and everything you need to work with a reliable professional. With many years of experience, she is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
Lost my husband this last year, and thanks to living debt free, the grieving process was just that, me grieving and not having to worry about finances. This year, I want to focus on giving generously and investing!
This comment speaks volumes. ❤ Prayers for your grieving heart, that you have been able to find some kind of comfort in the memories of your dear husband. 🙏
My wife and I are in our early 30s. Thank you for all of your videos and inspiring us to change our idiotic money habits. We’re attacking our $27,000 worth of debt in 2024 and should be out and working on our emergency fund by the end of the year! Again thank y’all for everything!
Just turned 40. Married with 3 young kids. On step 2. Just paid off 1 debt last week and snowballing it onto debt #2. Goal to pay down $15000 of debt this year.
It took me 20 years to get on board. 10 more to get out of debt. You can’t believe how peaceful you can become once you go through the hard struggle mentality and financially to get out if debt! Anything life throws at you after that is just an inconvenience. Good luck on your journey. It’s absolutely worth it.
Hi George and Dave!!! My goals for 2024 is to keep on my path. I'm a 54 year old widow. I'm 100% debt free and about to send my last child to college debt free!!! Thank you so much...without your advice, I would never have been able to do this!
After thinking I was generous, I noticed I was barely tithing to my local church. My income has grown greatly in the last couple of years, but my generosity did not scale with it. This year, I want to give away $10,000 outside of my tithe.
@@acesbloodyhat5119often times churches carry over tithes to many organizations to help people. The 10% tithe is also something that is encouraged in scripture as part of our religion. Not every church will handle money well but the idea is that the tithe is to honor God and show trust that he is in control. The extra $10,000 that they want to give away doesn’t necessarily need to go to the church, however I don’t think it’s my job, or your job, to suggest where he puts said $10,000. Everybody has a particular place they enjoy giving and it might be odd to someone else but that doesn’t make it wrong.
I love doing stuff for friends and family, just gave a check to a friend’s son going off to college. I’ve noticed a correlation with my generosity and my stock returns, can’t explain it but I see it.
Tithing was done away with along with the Mosaic law. Jesus said, "you received free, give free." The apostle Paul was a tent maker, that is how he supported himself. Nowhere did Jesus say you have to give a certain amount. Remember the widow with the two coins of very little value? It is the same. Give what you can when you can from the heart, not what a church dictates based on misapplication of scripture.
We've been on baby step 7 for 3 years. My financial goal this year is to create a legacy box so that in the event something happens to me, my daughter will have all my financial information organized and accessible in one place. This was a great episode, George. Well done.
This is an AMAZING goal!! It makes it so much harder when they have to try and find everything and sort it out, and takes away from time they should be grieving. My cousin is still going through this from my uncle's death two years ago. This will be such a blessing for your daughter!
Very good planning, Mama. I'm doing a binder with this all. We've got our notarized wills, we've got burial plots we've been saving for that we're buying next month, God willing, and I'm putting together a "do this after I die" binder and including copies of ids, passports, insurance cards, bank accounts, SSN/SIN. A to do list will be in there : things to cancel, money to claim, taxes to be sure to pay, release letter from the IRS/CRA, a reminder to get several death certificates and medical release (? I forget what it's called). I'm supplying paperwork I can now, and putting pockets in the binder in there for the different docs they'll need to get + steps to take, contacts they'll need.
@@Anonyme67 Legacy box is a term Dave uses in his FPU class to describe a single location where you keep all your financial and legal information so that your family has easy access to it in the event something happens to you. My plan is to use a fireproof waterproof box.
21:10 I have read and heard the verse, "the borrower is slave to the lender" multiple times. And since I started listening to Ramsey Solutions, this is the 3rd time I've heard Dave say it. And it's really sinking in. Frustrated, but very encouraged. Tired, but done being a slave. It will be hard, but I will be debt free
After retiring at 50, we spent too recklessly for years. Now at 77 we are in a tight spot. Our goal now is to rebuild and be able to live free from money worries. It may take several years. Thank you Dave and George for inspiring us to believe it is possible. My wife and I are all in on this.
At 77 you're in a tight spot and you're saying you're going to rebuild in roughly 7 years then live the rest of your days free from money worries? You do realize you'll be 84 years old? How much time do you actually think you have left in life?
Thanks Dave and George! We’ve always believed in living within our means and never got into consumer debt - except for cars, which we’d buy and then pay off early. I also “budgeted” by tracking where our money went more than telling it what to do. Well, after years of being what we believed was more or less Ramsey adjacent, I got tired of us not having the savings and not being able to pay for a car in cash, and we’re jumping on the real Ramsey plan and doing the baby steps for the first time in 2024. I’m using EveryDollar, manually recording every purchase, and the goal this year is to knock out baby steps 2 and 3 this year: pay off my husband’s truck in the first half of the year and have a 6 month emergency fund in the second half of the year. We’ve caught the vision. Thanks for all you do and being yourselves while you do it. Love the Christian integrity of the Ramsey team.
I am probably not your typical viewer. I am financially secure but certainly not rich. My goal for 2024 is not for myself, but for my son, to teach him financial peace, personal peace and the peace of faith. If I can do that, 2024 will be the best year of my life.
It’s hard to nail down specific predictions for the housing market is because it’s not yet clear how quickly or how much the Federal Reserve can bring down inflation and borrowing costs without tanking buyer demand for everything from homes to cars.
A lot of folks have been going on about the bull rally and said stocks that would be experiencing significant growth, any idea which stocks this may be? I just sold my home in the Boca Grande area and I’m looking to remunerate a lump sum into the stock market before stocks rebound, is this a good time to buy or no?
Such market uncertainties are the reason I don’t base my market judgements and decisions on rumours and here-says, got the best of me 2020 and had me holding worthless position in the market, I had to revamp my entire portfolio through the aid of a planner, before I started seeing any significant results happens in my portfolio, been using the same advisor and I’ve scaled up 750k within 2 years, whether a bullish or down market, both makes for good profit, it all depends on where you’re looking.
True, we’re only just an information away from amassing wealth, I’ve been looking into similar opportunities in this present market, could this coach that guides yo help?
Thank you for this tip. it was easy to find your coach. Did my due diligence on her before scheduling a phone call with her. She seems proficient considering her résumé.
Love this! Single mom here…Money goals for 2024…to save a $1000 emergency fund and pay off $7000 student loans and move from a one bedroom to a two bedroom apartment. Let’s go!!!!!!
Dave is a great example for people from all walks of life. Very encouraging. I’d also like to see you take everyday people who achieved their financial goals out for coffee and have them talk about their experience.
My money goal is to save $10k and eliminate what's left of my credit cards. It speaks volumes that you guys are able to have conversations with eachother on such a comfortable level. It shows Dave sees you as a co worker and respects you. And it shows that goarge is also a respectful, level headed guy.
Keep at it!! You GOT this!! My wife and I were there a few years back, but we persevered and did it! And it feels GREAT!! It does get weird when you write those checks to YOUR SAVINGS account, though. Not a bad weird, but still kinda weird.
My 2024 goal is to be the best Dad I can be for my wife and soon to be born child by providing them peace spiritually and financially. I plan to change the culture one family at a time with Gods guidance. Thank you guys for being an amazing light to all of us here!
My 2024 money goal is to re-enter the workforce after being a SAHM for the last 14 years! I want to help my husband by contributing to make our dream a reality as we build a cozy home to grow old in completely debt free including a paid off home. Thank you for the awesome ministry you are providing to all generations!!
Take every penny and put towards your principal payment. Quite literally Do not even spend a dollar from your check. It’s so easy to just “take a little off the top” of your income.
What @RustyZipper said!! We have ALWAYS lived on one income, whether we were both working or not. That’s where our downpayment came from. I genuinely did not touch any of my income, it went into a different account and everything. It was a forced savings not “seeing it” in our everyday account. You got this!!!
I am single income living on a clerk salary in California. I have been on BS 7 for several years, because my goal has always been about financial peace. Dave and George's testimony has always resonated with me. I never worry about money living this way.
So grateful for Dave Ramsey, Ramsey Solutions, and all of the Ramsey personalities (Hi George!) that have changed my life. Did a full 180 degree turn on my perception of money 12 years ago and I swear it saved my marriage and accelerated our status to Everyday Millionaires. I will never go back...our family tree is changed forever! Thanks, guys!
Started following Ramsey in 2019. That has been a life changing decision for my family. 5 years, 2 kids, 1 paid for house, and $2M net worth later - our goal for ‘24 is to keep paying it forward and keep giving generously to the unhoused in our community and introduce our young kids to money concepts in a mindful way.
My husband and I are currently debt free. Our goal is to continue to save and prepare for our retirement. Love the Ramsey family and all of the hosts. Great people with great advise!
I started following Dave Ramsey since 2012 and I became 100% debt free November 2023, this year 2024 is all about starting the process of saving and investing in the retirement plan...I'm 57 and very late on the game 😢, I hope 2025 also brings trips and vacation with my daughter and family ...running out of time to enjoy my life, it's been always about work, work and work
Congratulations Fatima. So proud of you. Dave's baby steps are a bit complicated to follow from where I come from. We are a cash economy. We pay everything with cash from school to medical, rent, car, starting a business etc. Cash is king here in Uganda. Ps: Am glad you're planning to start trips and vacations with your family. Congrats on that 🎉. If you ever think of coming to Uganda, you have one complimentary Trekking Permit for Chimpanzees in their natural habitat. This offer is completely open until you're ready. All the best in your future endeavors. May God continue to bless you
Hi George and Dave!! Dave came and spoke to my church (Willow Creek in So. Barrington, IL) about debt and financial peace. While we only had a mortgage at the time as we had learned the hard way in years previous, of being over our heads in CC debt/car loans, etc. but we still spent to our income. Talk about a mind shift after doing Financial Peace University! We were so convicted, we gifted our daughter and son-in-law to take the course. Here we are about 15ish years later, completely financially independent, debt free including the house, I was able to retire, and, of course, know where every dollar goes!.
Hi guys, this is a great interview. Loved the barn! Congratulations Dave. What a great life! I am debt free since march 22, 2024 and I am living à very peaceful moment. I am very proud of myself and I already started the $ 1000 émergence fond and it will grow to 6 and 8 months. Thanks for your daily advice. Paula
22, Married, my wife and I are on baby step 4 investing 15%. Our money goals for 2024 is to finish my private pilots training and to start saving for a down payment for a house!
Thank you! Dave and George for all your great information. My dad taught me very little about finance I’ve been watching your videos for a year now, and it changed my way of thinking about money. I really like the way you guys quote scriptures about money. My goal is to be more generous this year. God bless you and your family 👏
Great show! We love Dave and all of you guys. Just paid off our last loan and we are debt-free for the first time in forever, it seems. Thanks be to God! Life has a special relish to it right now, and we’re actually excited about the future. Thank you for providing the inspiration, counsel, and encouragement to get us to this point. God bless you!
Thank you George I enjoyed it. I’m following the Ramsey way for 4 months and going strong thank you Dave for your wisdom and all the good information you give us. I listen everyday and learn. I promised my family I will one day get on your debt free scream stage 🎉I’m so excited. And lastly since I’ve been doing the Ramsey steps I HAVE PAID OFF MY IRS DEBT $5000.00 omg it was a huge brick in my backpack since 2017. 🎉🎉thank you thank you
My goal for 2024 is to become debt free and we're almost there! We have $6500 left in my husbands student loans and then we're done (besides mortgage). I predict in the next 3-4 months we'll have that paid off. The way we finally managed to pay off our debt was starting a small business and working our butts off. It's been an insane blessing!
So sweet! Dave you are a mentor to so many of us. My dad has passed and he too was a self made millionaire. Listening to you makes me feel like I am tapping into his wisdom and sound advice. Blessing to you and your family! 🙏🏻
Currently on BS 4&6. My goal is to save for a used car to buy in late 2025 and send bigger chunks towards the principal of our house 😊. Thanks Dave and George. You guys are awesome. Love the barn ❤
Turning 50 this February. I woke up at 48, paid off student loan. Now I’m saving for retirement. Putting what I spent on car payment and student loan ($1000) in retirement. I listen everyday to as much of the Ramsey content as I can.
The Ramsey Solutions Program is good for people who are bad with money, but bad for people who are good with money. Those who are good with money would rather have a more optimal plan for better returns. It's like if you're goal is to travel from Maine to Florida, the Ramsey Plan would be to take a bike or walk and they'd speak against driving a car because people get in wrecks all the time and can't be trusted on the roads.
George, I want😊 to thank Dave. My husband died 2 years ago . We were debt free except the house, and had term life insurance. I can grieve without financial worries. Thank you.
My goal for 2024 is to spend less than I make, invest extra side hustle dollars and to live fully, feeling blessed for what I have. Thank you for the great show George and for all the wisdom and snark you bring to financial education!
Dave’s baby step philosophy is really a test on consistency and discipline. I purchased a $20k car that I thought I could afford after getting a raise from my workplace and instantly found out. It took me 7 months to realize I couldn’t afford the car thanks to Dave Ramsey popping up on one of my TH-cam recommendations. It’s almost like my phone knew I was in trouble. I was only able to save $300 a month and sometimes that would turn out to only be $100. I sold the car after hearing Dave give advice on purchasing vehicles. One year later I saved $20K. I did have to sell my shoe collection but it was worth it. A year later I got myself in a troubling situation that costed me the $20K I saved. Fast forward to now I’m even more focused than I was the first time around. My budget is even tighter than before. Life becomes easier when you can afford the unaffordable!
Loved the episode, George & Dave. Thank you for all of the FREE information you all give away. My dad always said "knowledge is something no one can take away from you." You all give away so much knowledge every day. THANK YOU! My wife and my financial goes this year; be weird people and pay off the mortgage. We're a couple months away and then we'll be down later this year to do our debt free scream and shake your hands.
I was homeless, got into drug's went to prison and then I got to know Jesus and he changed my life...Heaven came through for me in my finances too, getting $36,000 in 2months . I can support God's work and give back to my community. God is absolutely more than enough! Now I have a new identity and a child of God.
I work at a restaurant here in Houston Texas. Things have been really difficult as I'm a single mom and trying my best to pay bills and take care of my daughters..
YES!!! That's exactly her name( Mrs Claire Morin) so many people have recommended highly about her I'm huge beneficiary of her platform from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺.
Hi George and Dave, love the show and the team. My 2024 goals are to grow my wealth. I am currently debt free and loving life. Thanks for all the inspiration. I have been working with my daughter on her budgeting, she pays cash for everything and at 25 has no debt. : )
Fairly new to watching and listening to all Ramsay and the other personalities and perspectives on the show. Unlike many people we know my husband and I hate the idea of debt! It's just that extra thing on your mind or looming over your shoulder. We are on baby step 2 working on paying off our car and little credit card... We should be free of our debt moderately cutting back our expenses in 10 months! Then we will attack the mortgage! I would love to read this book! Hoping everyone has a healthy & productive 2024! 🎉
I follow Dave since September 2021, and been on baby step 7 since April 2022. All I can say what Dave teaches work and has made my life easier. Thank you Dave, thanks for what you do to help others live a life worth living. Greetings from Honduras 🇭🇳
I retired this year at 56 debt free. It is my goal to live conservatvely and keep it that way. Houses and cars do look different when paid off. I feel blessed and thankful.
Your story inspires to become a millionaire by the time I’m 40! You make learning about finances fun!! Thank you so much! Wishing you lots of success with your new book!! Big goal for 2024 is to finish paying off $40,000 worth of student loans and hoping to do this before my husband and I start our family. It’s important for us to be debt free of consumer debt so we can work on paying off our house early! 🎉
Listened to Dave, Roy & Carol beginning day one. It was on for 30 mins. I would listen to it as I rolled newspapers (my side hustle to make $ as to payoff vehicles and seed money to buy a business). Have sold two business's that were debt. free. Have made 2 house payments in 21 years. (for two different homes). Thanks be to God. And thank you Dave!
Our goal this year is to pay off the house. We've been making a push to pay it off the last few years when we started watching the Ramsey show. Thanks for all you guys do!
It was great seeing Dave behind the scenes. Love his barn! Not sure if you have picked a winner yet, but would love to read your book! My 2023 goals are to finish by UX/UI bootcamp, apply for new positions out of state (Colorado) in a cheaper state, and move into an affordable home. This past year, I paid off my student loans (I paid during the pause) and without that payment, I feel FREE!! Now on to baby-steps 4 & 6 (small condo).
I loved seeing Dave in a more casual environment with someone else in the video’s driver’s seat… figurative and literal! One financial 2024 goal is to get our mortgage down to $150,000.
Our household goal this year is to be able to give more food to children back in the Philippines. We were unable to give last year due to my brother's medical emergency and his passing. :( Intentional giving is one thing that I learned from uncle Dave, thanks uncle Dave! :) SO we put aside portion of our income like a sinking fund then come end of the year our family would work together to buy food for the children in grade school plus the teachers. We include techers because we appreciate the teacher's service. Love it!
Love this and thanks for doing this! Appreciate watching the Ramsey show! Goal is to budget with excellence this year! No personal debt except our house.
The barn is beautiful! Great episode guys. Our $ goals for 2024 is to pay off half of our house. We are baby step millionaires because of y'all :). TY!
Awesome episode! Loved the behind scenes Dave! My goal for 2024 is to pay down as much of my $110k divorce debt as possible to head toward a better future. I'm already down $65k in 3 1/2 years (WOOHOO!!) but I'm also doing it as a single mom, the parent of a special needs teen, and someone who is also permanently partially disabled with a chronic illness that limits my work schedule. No pressure right?! Did I mention I'm also trying to work on a non-anxious life?! Your podcasts and TH-cam shows are my LIFELINE for keeping me going at this crazy goal! Would LOVE to win that book! Thanks guys!
I just discovered your show at the new year, and already love it! My husband and I are working on baby step 2, with about $9000 of credit card debt. We will complete that by the end of May, and hope to have a fully funded 3-month emergency fund by the end of the year. Speaking from someone fluent in Snark, I appreciate the way you message your advice and am very much enjoying binge watching your videos. Thanks for everything you're doing and good luck on the book launch!
Kudos on the Coffee Chat w/Dave and George…! The conversation was genuinely interesting😊 My husband and I really appreciate what Dave has taught-it’s been an eye opener and new way of life choices!! George, you are a “game changer” yourself-with your great personality twist!😂 Looking forward to getting your book--wish we could have it personally autographed by you and Dave! Blessings ❤
My money goal is to get my kids understanding their money goals and be able to sit back and watch them work towards their goals because they realize how important it is
Fun fact: for Christmas a few years back Dave bought up a couple mil $ in random people’s medical debt. He spent $300k and let his staff call 10 people each to tell them that debt was paid off. Point is you may be able to settle for less than 10% of your medical debt 🤷♂️
Started Dave Ramsey’s 2 months ago, and so thankful to all of you! Our goal this year is to get a habit of leaving on a budget and put an extra $50k on our mortgage. This will be huge because we always lived paycheck to paycheck.
I am retired in baby step 7. Still I always learn from your whole team. I’ve been to headquarters&watched an episode being filmed. Beautiful Campus. My goal for 2024. Stay the course that’s tried&true, Ignore the quick rich schemes.
I had the awesome opportunity to have been to Ramseys show and had met the two of you in person. So glad to have met you both and thankful for the blessing that Financial Peace has been to my life. Being debt free is a gift and would love to have this new book signed by Dave and George
Hi Dave and George, coming from a school system or parents where financial education is not a thing, I think I’m doing great at 34 with family. I have acquired three lotes/lands over the past 2 years, debt free and our plan this year is continue learning, reading more about financial literacy and grow our savings for more opportunities in the future. Thanks!
This was very entertaining, Dave hit it on the head, George is snarky (this is why I watch him so much)! My 2024 goal is to finally be debt free! I should hit the mark in August. We have a challenge at work of who can get free first. I started the year cutting up and cancelling my credit cards (thanks Dave). I have a great budget I'm sticking to for the next 45 years (thanks Racheal). I drive a used hooptie like George (2013 Grey Tesla Model S), not wasting our income on foolish purchases, and planning for my legacy. I will execute Steps 3,4,5 this year. Step 5 is for my granddaughter, I already paid for daughters' education with cash and taught her the Baby steps too! Endless thanks-James
I got debt free in 2020 following the baby steps. 16 k and I am now on step 4 :). I plan on becoming the first multi millionaire in my immediate family ❤
Great segment! We loved seeing behind the scenes with Dave. We are in BS 4 & 6 (kids are in college, paid for) and our money goal this year is to save to replace our front steps and research and price out a generator for our home. We are also focused on paying off our house early! $230K left. We want to get it paid off soon to still be able to visit Dave for our debt free scream. So tell him he can’t retire just yet. 😉 We love you, George! Happy New Year.
Goal for the end of the year is paying off the house, I have about 24K left. I’ve learned a lot from you guys and just wanted to say thank you for changing lives!! God bless!
He should do a series where he shows us behind the scenes of all things they do. They own a ton of buildings and I think it would be cool to see inside them.😊
My husband and I are currently debt-free. We are continuing to stash them away money into our retirement accounts so we can freely retire at age 65 as that’s been our long time goal and dream. Thank you so much for all your inspiration. I listen to the Dave Ramsey show daily and love your new podcast you do every Thursday with Rachel. Keep up the awesome work.
George, I think seeing more everyday millionaires on this show is a fantastic idea. Also, my financial goal for 2024 is to have $10K of $30K saved for a down payment on a home. I’m just now starting to save for a down payment so it will take about three years. I’m staying on BS4 instead of going to BS3 b because I put retirement on hold for too long. So it’s a slower process, but I want to do it the right way.
Hi Dave and George! My financial goal for 2024 is to save 10,000 dollars towards my upcoming retirement in 2027. Thanks for all you do for us! One of my future career goals is to come to work for Ramsey Solutions after I retire from teaching. Love the culture of your organization!! ❤😊
The goal I have for my family in 2024 is to pay off both cars (my lowest debts) and hopefully pay off 1 more student loan. My wife and I are inching are way closer to paying off all the debt each day.
Keep on it Andrew!!! My wife and I hit baby steps 4, 5 & 6, maybe a year and a half ago. By income, we're lower middle class... but with no debt, it's amazing what your financial picture can look like each month without sending some creditor 20% of your check in car payments & student loans.
I use to a be a huge credit card person, a huge borrower on cars and business ideas. For 2024, all I want is a clean slate. Once I got that 800 credit score, I felt nothing. I was still staring down debt that was more than my annual income. I started listening to George Kamel before I even knew Dave Ramsey. I’m not even a reader but I truly just want to be debt free.
Really enjoyed this! We went from bs 4-6 in 2020 to trying to keep our head above water in 2023. Now getting back on track with converting a part of our home into a flat that we rent out full time and converting our garage into an airbnb unit(we live in a tourism area)🎉. This year we are aiming for: paying ourselves back for the cash builds we did on the flats, 2. Re-save for a bigger car for our growing family(used the money we had saved for the build) and 3 doing big chunks in paying off our house quicker. Haven't had a salary increase in 3 years, but this year we gave ourselves an also 20% increase with our rentals. 🎉

Thank you for this tip. it was easy to find your coach. Did my due diligence on her before scheduling a phone call with her. She seems proficient considering her résumé.
We started the baby steps 2years ago and are now working on investing 15% and pay off our home. Our goal for 2024 is open individual IRAs and fully fund them every year moving forward, and setup an every dollar budget. Can’t wait to get your book George.
Our money goal for 2024 is to save, give, and enjoy. We have been debt free for a couple of years and have stepped up our giving. I pre-ordered your book for my husband for Christmas and we received it today. Excited to read it after he's finished!!
Greetings from Puerto Rico. What a great episode. Wow, that’s a great question. What are my financial goals for 2024? I haven’t thought of that because I keep doing what I’ve been doing for all these years, living below my means. I’m undergoing two surgeries in Boston this year and I don’t know how much my out expenses will be. I was thinking that if my expenses are way lower than I expected then I could be more generous and help around my island. I am 38 y/o stay at home mom, we own a house and are debt free. So I’m happy to be able to do this. ❤🇵🇷
I love this! I listen to the radio show every workday. Such an amazing organization. So many don't realize the value Dave and his team offer to a broken world. I hope they do another behind-the-scenes with Dave about all the cars.
Now just pass these lessons on to your kids and maybe one of them will make some generational wealth
( Min payment $199, but I was making $1k payments.)
Print out your goal (for example, be debt free) and place it next to your budget area.
👏🏻👏🏻❤️ IT
That's impressive. WOW!
That a change in net worth of $1M. That's incredible!
That's impressive! I could really use the expertise of this manager for my dwindling portfolio. Who’s the professional guiding you?
My CFA, Judith Lynn Staufer, is a renowned figure in her field. I recommend researching her name online; you’ll find all her credentials and everything you need to work with a reliable professional. With many years of experience, she is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
I just curiously Googled her name and her website came up right away. It looks interesting so far. I sent her an email and i hope she responds soon.
Lost my husband this last year, and thanks to living debt free, the grieving process was just that, me grieving and not having to worry about finances.
This year, I want to focus on giving generously and investing!
I’m sorry for your loss 💔
Wishing you healing❤
This comment speaks volumes. ❤ Prayers for your grieving heart, that you have been able to find some kind of comfort in the memories of your dear husband. 🙏
What a real heart-ful response. Thank you and sorry to hear of the passing.
My condolences 🙏
Dave is so sweet behind the scenes! Love the George & Dave companionship. Dave is an all star, and George is honoring his legacy every step of the way
The more I learn about Dave the more respect I have for him. He's really such a genuine guy. It's really what you see is what you get.
You got this Rebecca
It took me 20 years to get on board. 10 more to get out of debt. You can’t believe how peaceful you can become once you go through the hard struggle mentality and financially to get out if debt! Anything life throws at you after that is just an inconvenience. Good luck on your journey. It’s absolutely worth it.
Hi George and Dave!!! My goals for 2024 is to keep on my path. I'm a 54 year old widow. I'm 100% debt free and about to send my last child to college debt free!!! Thank you so much...without your advice, I would never have been able to do this!
This is the first time in my life that I see a window typing English😱
After thinking I was generous, I noticed I was barely tithing to my local church. My income has grown greatly in the last couple of years, but my generosity did not scale with it. This year, I want to give away $10,000 outside of my tithe.
I pray you give to the people who really could use your generosity, your church does not need your money in comparison to those struggling.
My husband and I have a money goal for 2024 to pay off $30K debt….🙏🏻
Don't do it. You'll regret it.
You can do it! My wife and I finished off 31,500$ last year! You’ve got this! LETS GOOOOOO!
You can do it! We got out of 85k last year!
@@HOLDXSTEEL debt takes away from your income, that's why you need to pay them asap

I will forever be thankful for Dave Ramsey. His plan completely changed the way I handle my finances. Thank you Dave!
YOU MUSTBE REPUBLICAN
We've been on baby step 7 for 3 years. My financial goal this year is to create a legacy box so that in the event something happens to me, my daughter will have all my financial information organized and accessible in one place.
This was a great episode, George. Well done.
This is an AMAZING goal!! It makes it so much harder when they have to try and find everything and sort it out, and takes away from time they should be grieving. My cousin is still going through this from my uncle's death two years ago. This will be such a blessing for your daughter!
Great job👌🏾👌🏾.
I never heard about a legacy box. I googled it but couldn’t find anything. Can you please tell me more about it? Tks
@prayingfish
After retiring at 50, we spent too recklessly for years. Now at 77 we are in a tight spot. Our goal now is to rebuild and be able to live free from money worries. It may take several years. Thank you Dave and George for inspiring us to believe it is possible. My wife and I are all in on this.
Several years from 77? I think you need to give Dave a call
Lol it’s over for you
Come on your 77 just cruise the rest of your life not worth grinding the probably last years.
@@letsbefreeletsbefree7183 Cruise in the negatives

Good luck!
I’m sure you will crush it this year!
You can do it!!!
Thank you! You are all so encouraging. 🥰
From one SM to another - you’ve got this!! Good luck and stay focused :)
This was a great episode. Yes we can’t get enough of Dave we love him and his team and all that you do. Thank you!

I love love love the coffee in cars chats. Keep these videos coming. All the guest you have had are just wonderful.
This was the first I saw, I have to check the others. I loved the original show with this concept too
Started following Ramsey in 2019.
Paula
I absolutely loved this episode with Dave just chatting about his life. Thank you soooo much for everything you do.

Nice to go Dave. Thank you for imparting to us your passion on how to handle wealthy properly and stay off of debt.
Baby Step 7 here!! Been on Dave’s plan for over 20 years. Now our adult children are following the plan. Definitely generational changes!
🎉🎉thank you thank you
Good for you!
This was a great episode! I love watching you and Dave. My goal for this year is to start more intentional giving.
It always amazes me how many people speak against Dave’s finance philosophy and completely leave out the “results” part. It’s obviously working…
But ma credit card rewards 2% cash back and $100 annual fee......
@@tcgtpl Thank you for making my point bub lol
When I started investing in real estate, I tried to follow different strategies for different guru. But Dave way works best for me.
Dave Ramsey is like financial kindergarten. Most North Americans are in pre-k financially. Some of us graduate.

Intentional giving is one thing that I learned from uncle Dave, thanks uncle Dave! :)
SO we put aside portion of our income like a sinking fund then come end of the year our family would work together to buy food for the children in grade school plus the teachers.
Blessings ❤
Amazing! Let’s see this with Rachel and Winston and regular folks who became millionaires with the program too!
Rachel was on a recent installment of this series!
My money goal is to get my kids understanding their money goals and be able to sit back and watch them work towards their goals because they realize how important it is
My financial goal for 2024 is to pay off my medical debts. I enjoyed this episode so much!
Fun fact: for Christmas a few years back Dave bought up a couple mil $ in random people’s medical debt. He spent $300k and let his staff call 10 people each to tell them that debt was paid off. Point is you may be able to settle for less than 10% of your medical debt 🤷♂️
Love the series of Millionaires in cars getting coffee! watch you videos as a reminder to be intentional with my money, thanks
Started Dave Ramsey’s 2 months ago, and so thankful to all of you! Our goal this year is to get a habit of leaving on a budget and put an extra $50k on our mortgage. This will be huge because we always lived paycheck to paycheck.
*living on a budget
I am retired in baby step 7. Still I always learn from your whole team. I’ve been to headquarters&watched an episode being filmed. Beautiful Campus. My goal for 2024. Stay the course that’s tried&true, Ignore the quick rich schemes.
The one we've all wanted 😁
I had the awesome opportunity to have been to Ramseys show and had met the two of you in person. So glad to have met you both and thankful for the blessing that Financial Peace has been to my life. Being debt free is a gift and would love to have this new book signed by Dave and George
Hi Dave and George, coming from a school system or parents where financial education is not a thing, I think I’m doing great at 34 with family. I have acquired three lotes/lands over the past 2 years, debt free and our plan this year is continue learning, reading more about financial literacy and grow our savings for more opportunities in the future. Thanks!
George is amazing! Dace is incredible!!! My two favorites!❤
God bless!
Take the Raptor in the next episode with Uncle Dave. All the car/truck viewers would love that!
YYYYEEEEESSSSS. Go off road.
Thank you George for allowing us to see all the behind the scenes 🎉 COOLEST Thing ever
So wholesome I love it! Thankyou for being the salt and light of the earth
Such market uncertainties are the reason I don’t base my market judgements and decisions on rumours and here-says, got the best of me 2020 and had me holding worthless position in the market, I had to revamp my entire portfolio through the aid of a planner, before I started seeing any significant results happens in my portfolio, been using the same advisor and I’ve scaled up 750k within 2 years, whether a bullish or down market, both makes for good profit, it all depends on where you’re looking.
pls how can I reach this expert, I need someone to help me manage my portfolio
Doing your research will save you a lot of hassle. Marisa Breton Dollard is her name and she is licensed.
Can’t wait to get your book George.
the truck yeah moment had me rolling LOL
Rolling coal…? Haha😂
exactly LOL@@McWrisk
