No one does 'off the cuff' / 'on the fly' / 'by the seat of your pants' / 'unscripted' better than Mike Rowe! I'm a simple man. I see 'Mike Rowe' in the title, I click every time. It always pays off. Thanks George!
To be fair the TV show was on like 10-15 years ago on the Discovery channel, so it wasn't something everybody watched but it was a channel if you wanted to learn something (not always educational in the school sense but it was something). The TV show is still worth a watch to see more about how America works, or at least the small businesses and jobs that keep our country running.
If you can find the Dirty Jobs series, I recommend it. Aside from learning all about how interesting jobs are really done, you also learn a lot about the viewpoints of working-class America.
Mike said he modeled his financial plan after Travis McGee but it's hard to overlook that for a while he was a real life Jack Reacher too - no home, no possessions, just traveling from place to place doing jobs most people won't. Great interview, keep em coming George!
I think 1 episode of Dirty Jobs should be shown every morning in about the 6th or 7th grade. Great sermon or lesson material for pastors or teachers. Everyone and every job can be necessary and important. Loved the show.
That was fantastic!!! I shared the video, so more people will know about the movie… I loved the clip of Mike Rowe singing Opera… beautiful… Be a guest… allow … priceless advice… amazing how he didn’t get ruined by Hollywood…seems real nice and genuine… If u can’t or don’t want to travel the world, u can take a drive thru your state, u will see many Americans, from many different countries and many different states, going about, working hard, caring for children and parents, pausing to give directions, laughing hard with a familiar waitress, at a diner, gathering to celebrate and pray, at a church or wedding… Not something u hear about on the news… Sometimes, there are places, where the household income is low, and a shoestring budget is the norm, but people are frequently innovative , they are rich in art, music, extended families u can visit often, cool street fashion and food that has soul..
This world needs to stop and recognize Mike Rowe for his leadership and integrity that he just genuinely has always displayed his entire life. I wish Mike Rowe would be able to narrate my future first ever film project that is all about my life struggles starting from my childhood until now at the age of 43 years old recovering from a near fatal massive stroke that left me clinically dead for 3 minutes and hospitalized for 9 months. Hearing Mike Rowe speak brings me such clarity and calmness during my longterm stroke recovery. My self motivated approach towards life has always helped me get through such difficult situations. I need to have Mike Rowe immediately involved with my 1st ever film project! Thank You Mike Rowe!
While you were in a Tesla getting coffee I noticed what appeared to be a black Nissan Leaf in the background. This is an interesting conversation. I had a conversation with an uncle about if he knew what he wanted to do when he got the job he did. He said he fell into it when he tried it out. It lasted about 40 years. Since he retired, he still didn't know what he wanted to do. I can identify with Mike, as both my uncle and I had jobs that lasted longer than we expected.
I grew up watching, and to this day, still watch the original Dirty Jobs. Mike Rowe is a hero of mine!! I found Dave Ramsey and the rest of the Ramsey personalities in April. Seeing two of my favorite people ever in the same car? I clicked so fast 😂😂
Mike Rowe is one of the few people I respect so much, that I want to see anything they do, or hear anything they have to say. There's probably only a group of maybe 4-5 people like that for me. Dave Ramsey's another. Sorry George... I do enjoy your stuff too! Maybe if you sold the Tesla..... I bet this is the only time Mike Rowe has been in one.
This video- after the events and news today- specifically gives me a little more optimism in our future as a country! Going to check out Mike's documentaries I didn't know about!
That was such a great listen! You guys are great. I am bummed I just heard of "Something to stand for " I hope I can stream it later somewhere? My wife and I are naturally frugile and love it. Someday planning to visit Ramsey show. Keep up the good work. 👍 Also I did not know Mike had a pod cast I will be checking in on that.
18:50 Yes, they do still take those bus trip for schools. My mom organizes them with Blue Ridge Tours. 35 years in business and started by a now retired state trooper.
Every young person would benefit hugely from the advice in this video. I got a 150K mortgage, bought 75k worth of Brett with it. from profit of 10k capital.
You are too kind, mate😊. Young investors, in particular, have a truly unique opportunity with all of the years of compounding ahead of them! Its's amazing what a few extra years can do for one's portfolio.
Most people don't understand the concept of "buying the dip" buying the dip is all about buying digital assets when their prices are down and selling off when the price rises.
I am a retired Marine that is feeling extreme anxiety from watching you look at Mike Rowe nearly as much as you watch the road. I'm only a few minutes in to the video but I can't continue to watch. PTSD comes in all forms. :-/
I think the problem that most people who live in the USA have with this country is that we all know how great it could be and watch as we as a country continue to flounder due to poor leadership.
This is a cop out,if you are so unhappy with "the leadership" what have you done to change that.Or do you do what all lazy bums say "well there's nothing I can do". Even if you yourself feel you can not be a "leader",do you know of someone who would? Get together with other who. feel as you do? Me? I am just a lazy slob who just retired I understand your frustration.
I love Mike Rowe. Always respected him from Dirty Jobs and how he treated those people so well. He did the wackiest crap but always ended things off well with the folks
Awe-some!!! Thank you! Ending made me laugh in a feel-good sort of way. 😂 Inspiring and now I want to watch the movie with my kids and visit Capital! 🇺🇸❤️🕊️🙏
man i remember watching Dirty jobs as a kid and loved to see a whole other world out there in jobs that no one ever saw. that Dirty Jobs song was fire too 🔥
About 15 years ago I met Mike at a restaurant and somebody he was with paid for his meal. I asked if he'd heard about a certain dirty job in a city close to ours and he said "it's on the list." Mike was so funny.

Anything with Mike Rowe is a must watch. Win win here.
As a non-American who’s only lived here 5 years, I didn’t know who this guy was but I immediately became a fan. What a collab!

His voice makes me feel safe lol. It reminds me of my youth and he’s such a great story teller.
His voice is epic!
Same. He has a very good story telling voice.
I think every year at Christmas Mike should sing a beautiful Christmas song and sell it on the Apple Music for his foundation
Mike Rowe for president!
I’ll vote for him!
I don't think he'd like it!!! Not many do.
But maybe he'd agree to head the department of labor and get OSHA under control.
@@karalove3470 Khaless said "great men do not seek power, they have power thrust upon them"

Mike Rowe has lived such a fascinating life. Loved this interview! I especially love his story about the QVC job.
"Santa's got a Dirty Job" is another one of his gems.
The most recognizable voice in the world.
Bravo George! Mike Rowe is your best guest yet!
Fantastic guest choice! Mike Rowe is a testament to working hard, with integrity, no matter what your work is.
Can’t go wrong with a guest like Mike Rowe!
Mike Rowe is a national treasure
Yeah that freedom as kids to ride bikes and play in nature, is priceless.
As a construction worker. I've always liked Mike. He brings a light to us forgotten workers that help keep this country rolling
When is this dude gonna run for president?!?!
Not George FYI... MIKE.
Yes please!!!
I don’t think Mike would want to be president, though…We’d have to convince him that his country needs him to fill the gap.
@@sarahchambers00 Literally that's what happened with George Washington.
I was just about to say that
Mike Rowe singing in a tesla was not on my 2024 bingo card...
World Economic Forum: You'll own nothing and be happy.

Mike Rowe is extremely intelligent in a way that cannot be easily quantified.
To say pity wasn’t in their vocabulary and then to use it in an example right after that is incredibly self-aware
😂 True! He should've said, self-pity wasn't in their vocabulary.
Mike Rowe is a national treasure!❤
