If anyone is trying to make this but smaller, for baby blankets and such, just remember that this is made in increments of "3", so you can make it any size, as long as the end amount of stitches to start with is divisible by 3.
@@savananance1198 multiples of 3 plus 1 for the chain (on the printed pattern) or plus 2 (on the video). Your single crochet row should be multiples of 3.
I just started learning how to crochet and your videos have been the best. I am so excited! I have trouble with the beginning and ends, but your videos have helped me with understanding what to look for when I start and end. I have look at many videos and yours is the first that I really understand. I love the flowers in a row. I can't say enough how much you have help me when I watch your tutorials. Thank you for making them. Sandy
Thanks for always explaining the patterns. I've made my granddaughter a poncho and my new niece a blanket in the flower pattern. Everyone loves it. Denise
Bella Coco, I'm so glad you saw the potential in the pattern you found on Red Heart! What hideous colors they used on the throw at Red Heart. The colors you have chosen are absolutely adorable! Thank you so much for sharing your version. I can't wait to make this as a shawl, Cowl, Throw, Afghan, Baby Blanket, Wrap, Poncho, pot Holder, pair of shorts, oh no, I think I've went overboard. I do love your color combo for sure! Glad to have found you here on TH-cam!
I made this years ago, it came out so sweet. Was looking for a border now for a very plain blanket...think I'm going to use this, thank you for the video!
My friend's fav colors are green and purple so I'm gonna make them a blanket of this with purple flowers for their wedding present. I'm so happy this looks so easy! Super happy you have a video of it too :)
I just finished making this blanket, it turned out beautiful! I only did a baby size but it's perfect! Thank you so much for all your wonderful crochet videos, please keep them coming! :)
I enjoyed this tutorial and started a something three years ago, it inspired me to make a floral blanket. I've used my old project as a base to start my blanket but I think I need to repeat this lovely pattern throughout, (perhaps experimenting with Puff, bobble and popcorn stitches....inspired) it is so beautiful and beginner friendly.
@@bellacococrochet you are most welcome....I find all of your tutorials super easy to follow. I could only do granny squares until i found your channel, and now i can do c2c, shell, meringue stitch, pom pom borders, drunken granny.. keep em coming!

Thank you! From watching your excellent tutorial, I have just worked this pattern into a basket I'm crocheting. Your videos are very easy to follow. Thanks so much for taking the time to make them and share them with us.
I love and appreciate just how thorough you are, it makes the tutorial more understandable. No offense to any youtuber I'm subbed to but you are awesome😁. Some just say put your stitch in the next chain but most of the time you say it and show how and where. That definitely makes a big difference for newbies like me😹. Tyfs God bless you
Lovely! Really going to have to try this. Now, say you were doing these as the tail end to a scarf, could you possibly do a tutorial of how to sort of do the pattern in reverse for the other end? Or is there perhaps an easier way to go about that and I'm just not seeing it...
Thank you Bella, that definitely sounds easier than trying to follow the pattern in reverse. Also, I started a throw shawl last night with this pattern and it is looking absolutely stunning. Thank you so much again for making this awesome tutorial.
In many crochet even knitting patterns, you would simply make two of the same items 1/2 the size of the whole piece and then sew them together in the middle. So, if making your scarf, you will have two sides that look exactly alike or you could change up the pattern with different colors. Not sure if this is what you were referring to but I that I would put my two cents in for you. 😊
Thanks for posting these videos. It is helping me so much. I really like this pattern that you are doing. My question is, if I didn't want to change colors, after I do the single stitch, I can proceed with the v stitch? I guess that might be a stupid question but just want to make sure. Thank you in advance.
question: When you're doing you're doing the rows of single crochet, on the first row going across the top of the tulips on that last tulip there's a chain space between the final flower and the treble crochet. Do you put a single crochet into that chain space as well before you put in your final sc in the top of the final dc or do you just skip over that specific chain spaice?
I'm new to crocheting so I'm not sure on adjusting sizing as of yet. I am using DK with 4mm hook. I have done my 169 and it measures 30in. If I want it to be slightly longer do I add multiples of 3 chains like recommend in your previous video of the granny stripe blanket? I hope I'm not being too confusing! Thanks
Tamsyn Elizabeth Hi Tamsyn- Sorry again for the delay on the reply. I'm not entirely sure on the repeat for the pattern. My sample piece measures 5 inches and I chained 27 so you could perhaps keep adding 27 in order to extend your piece? Hope that helps x
What is the pattern repeat for this please Sarah-Jayne? I don't want to make a blanket as big as the original pattern, just a smaller one for a little girl. Is it multiples of 3 plus 2 for turning?
if I chain the 169, shouldn't I have 168 every time I do a two of my base color? do you only put one chain at the beginning of that first base color to after the tulips? help!
Hi, love this tutorial and I am going to give it a go to break up my granny square blanket work (which is growing slowly but surely as I have a very busy 2 year old who loves yarn ha ha) to keep me "fresh". If I follow a similar set of colours as you have used, i.e one base, one leaf, and 2 flower colours, how much yarn would you suggest I get? Thank you x
Since you did the sample ,, chained 27 and added two for total 29,, my question is do you chain 169 and add two so is the total for blanket 171,, asking do you chain two after chaining 169 like you did in your sample?
Hi, the pattern states for row1 that you should single crochet into 2nd stitch from hook, but I think I see you single crocheting into 3rd stitch from hook. Is this why my stitch count is off? Please help as I am going wrong somewhere but don't know where. Thanks
Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I will have to double check this. In the meantime, if you chain in multiples of 3 and add 2 for turning, the pattern should work out by starting in the 3rd chain 😊
Hi Ann 🙂 It depends what size of cushion cover you want to make, and also what yarn you are using, your tension, etc. The best way would be to make a small swatch of ten stitches or so and measure that to work out your sizing. It needs to be a multiple of three, plus your turning chain 🙂
@@bellacococrochet Thank you so much I will do so and love your tutorials. I am also excited as I have subscribed to your Crochet Society and cannot wait for my first box !!

Stitches or chains? 169 isn’t divisible by 3 so I was a little confused
