One of the best made crochet tutorial videos I've seen. Very clear instructions, hands don't get in the way of the visuals, a good pace, easy to stop and start. Well done! Keep them coming!
YOU ARE AMAZING!!! Your tutorials are the best! I learned basic crochet as a child, but I picked it up again about a year and a half ago. Because of your tutorials, I am able to work difficult level patterns from anywhere. I cannot thank you enough for your teaching style. It is perfect for my kinesthetic learning style. You have my sincerest gratitude. -Amanda from Tennessee, USA

Sarah, your tutorials are amazing! When I first saw this square, I didn't think I could manage it, but with your expert & clear guidance, it was actually a breeze. Thank you for your videos, they really are so amazing & you're an excellent teacher!
I made a very pretty baby blanket with this pattern...thanks for the clear video. You slow it down so I can follow easily. Some people's videos are so fast that you are constantly rewinding ha! Thanks again.
I started with light blue in the center and each row added a shade up until the edge was dark blue, so an ombre effect. then i made a scalloped edge, and made it into a pillowcase for a small pillow, for the back i just did a solid square. Came out gorgeous thanks for the tutorial!
OMG, I finally finished! It took me 4 times to get it right but it was a fun piece. You're tutorials are so great and has made me so much better at crocheting.
As always a brilliant tutorial Sarah Jayne!! Thank you! Would it be possible for you to do a tutorial on mandala crochet?? I think it is a very beautiful crochet and the new ombré bundles would look sooo pretty in it. 😊 Thank you again I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your tutorials and I'm sure all of your supporters would agree with me!!! I am fairly new to the world of crotchet and I find your video tutorials very easy to follow. I would like to make a blanket for myself. Can you recommend a stitch I could use? Thanks for your time making these videos. Keep up the great work!
very clear instructions. appreciate the tutorial. was trying to follow the written one but somehow i found some steps left out or not clear. Yours was very easy to follow along.
Longtime subscriber here! I loved this Victorian Lattice pattern and followed your video tutorial, after completing a few squares I started to search for another video that might show me how to join these squares. Please direct me to a video for which I am searching.
I have several tutorials for joining squares, if you search bella coco joining granny squares a list of them will come up so that you can choose which one will work best for you :)
Can’t wait to try this! Going yarn shopping tomorrow. This afghan will be for me (finally!). It’ll be awhile but I’ll post the results on your FB page when I’m done.
Thank you what a beautiful pattern! I did great following your instructions except for the very last row just before I sl st to finish it off. At that point something doesn't look right but I'm not quite sure what happened.
You're welcome 😊 You can find a link to the original written pattern here: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/victorian-lattice-square so you can double check your last round.
at 9:30, you said we're going to do a double crochet, but you did a single crochet a number of times when you indicated they would be double crochet(s)... : )
Thank you, if you search 'bella coco joining' on you tube all the different methods will come up so that you can have a look and see if any of these would suit you :)
Hi Bella, I'm wanting to crochet a strip of crochet lace tape ( say 1/2 yard) that I can use for future projects. My question is if later I only need say 12" how do I cut it without unraveling it? Do you have any suggestions? Thank you for your support.
Hi Bella, could you tell me how large this square is. I'm currently making squares for a throw using The Willow pattern (thank you so much for your easy to follow tutorial) The squares for the Willow are 7 inches square using a size 4 hook and DK wool. I'd like to add some of these squares to break up the pattern but not sure how to if they are larger. All my Willow squares are edged in white xx
You can join these in the same way as you would other granny squares, but if it helps you can add a round of double crochet stitches first so that you don't have the gaps 😊 I have a tutorial with some different ways to sew squares together here: th-cam.com/video/QEwH2YS9cH4/w-d-xo.html as well as lots of videos with different ways to crochet them.
Hi Bella Coco I had made a granny square which you explained how to make in ur video I want to make for the handbag so this square in pink colour is too big can u guide me how to make a smaller granny square thanks alots
I know you’re comment is a few years old, but I just got to this part, and you’re right. The way she does it, the first side she does has 7 stitches instead of 6 like all the other. I altered it to make it 6 on the first side too. I wondered if anyone else was bothered by this.
@@alisonswenson8669 I made a few of the squares, and then them into a blanket (which I messed up by trying to make my own border and I messed up the corners and don't have the heart to undo). They came out ok but the trouble is even a few squares in I couldn't remember which way I'd decided on for my work around. So I suggest picking one and then writing it down or something so you can make consistent squares.
@@imasinnerimasaint I wrote down the pattern as she went along so I won’t forget the changes. I’ve done that before too, and then my squares don’t match.
Hi Bella this granny square is too big for the hand bag which I have started so can I make this granny square a little smaller please guide me and please reply me thanks alots.
You could always make it using a thinner yarn; 4 ply, fingering or an even finer yarn will give a very delicate effect. Just remember to change your hook size accordingly 😊
@bellacococrochet thank you for your help because of your tutorials I have bern able to learn crocheting. I love your tuts. I am so looking forward to seeing many more in the future where I can learn from lol
Hi Ayesha, it could be that your chain stitches are too tight so you don't have much room in there for the 12 stitches. You could try crocheting the chain stitches more loosely, or going up a hook size. If you're still having problems then you can just chain an extra stitch or two and join with a slip stitch in the usual way. Hope this helps 🙂
I have several tutorials on how to join granny squares, if you search on youtube they will come up and you can choose which one would suit you the best :)
If I could give 2 thumbs up I would. Excellent instructions and no waste of time.
